I'm flying into Atlanta from the UK (Manchester) & have 1hr 25 mins to catch a flight to Nashville. Will this give me enough time, providing the flight isn't delayed of course?

Yes, it is enough time but you will have to hurry. It is 5 minutes below the recommended connection time.

My wife is on flight as we speak arriving Delta Flt 1592 from San Diego which is 5 min late and departing Delta Flt 1178 to Richmond, Va Terminal A Gate 30 at 2:15. Is their enough time to make connecting flight.

Yes, that should have been plenty of time. A and B are concourses, not Terminals. They are connected inside security by the Plane Train.

Hi I am flying in to atlanta airport on march 18th at 15.55 and on to Fort Lauderdale at 17.15 and returning on the 8th April at 14.45 to catch a flight to Amsterdam at 15.43 is the time ok for the conections

Assuming you depart from AMS to ATL, you would arrive at the International Terminal and depart from one of the domestic terminals, depending on which airline(s) you take. Your transfer time on arrival is extremely short. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/atl - click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS' & pay attention of 'International Arrivals, and transfer procedures, etc.

You will be pressed for time on your arrival (assuming you initial flight to Atlanta is from Amsterdam) as you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your luggage, go through US Customs, recheck your bags at the transfer desk, then go through security and take the plane train to your departure gate. On your way to Amsterdam you have enough time as you only have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate on the plane train.

Re returning via ATL: One thing that can help is US CBP's Mobile Passport Control program to get through customs faster. Here's the link: www.mobilepassport.us

  • 1h 30 mins enough time for change between TI and TS

Hey, got a flight from CancĂșn that arrives in Atlanta for a change over to New York. I have 1h 30 mins to change terminals, from I to S... is that enough time?? How do you get between the two ? And do you need to go through passport control again? I won't be having any luggage other than hand luggage. Thank youuuuu

You will arrive in the E or F gates, go through US Immigration and customs, then go through security and take the Plane Train to your departure concourse and gate. You don't actually have to go to the domestic "S" terminal.

It should be OK. One thing that can help is US CBP's Mobile Passport Control program to get through customs faster. Here's the link: www.mobilepassport.us

  • Layover in ALT for 46 min

Delta changed my flight from a one hour and a half layover in Minnesota to a 46 min one in Atlanta. I am flying from San Diego to Atlanta to Norfolk, VA and I am worried if I will have enough time to make the last fight (it is the last flight for the day) my flight is DL2267 and DL2095. Will I be able to make it to my last flight or should I try to reschedule?

It is enough time if your flight is on-time but doesn't leave much time for delays.

  • 49 minutes enought time ATL-LIMA, Peru

Hi, Just found out Delta changed our layover in Atlanta from 1,25 to 49 minutes. There is only one flight for Lima, Peru per day. If we miss this flight our vacation of a lifetime will be ruined. Delta refused to change our flight to ATL on an earlier flight without a cost of $200/pp. I had booked in good faith with Delta and didn't expect a 36 min. delay. Any suggestions?

Hang up and call again. Delta is obligated to rebook you because of the involuntary schedule change. Use those words.

That's exactly what my husband did, but at the Platinum Elite #. He was a Platinum member for many years, but not anymore. Though he's a million miler. Delta said, yes sir we will take care of it! Thanks for the post and encouragement!

My sister is flying from El Salvador to Atlanta. She has a connecting flight in Miami. I am uncertain about where to pick her up as it's an international flight. However, she will go through customs and board a different plane in Miami which makes me wonder if she should be picked up at the domestic terminal. Thanks in advance!

If she is flying American, which if she is connecting in Miami she probably is, you will pick her up at the domestic terminal,

    Thank you so much!! :)

Hi, i have a flight from Montreal to Rio de Janeiro with a stop in Atlanta. My connection between the flight is 1h20. Do i have enough time to make it? Do i need to pick up my luggage and go to the custom? THanks

You will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Montreal. All you have to do in Atlanta is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

  • connecting terminals?

never been to atl before. The terminals are all separate buildings apparently. is the plane train the only way to get from, one terminal to the other? or is there also some kind of walkway connecting them?

Those are concourses, not terminals. There is a walkway in the same tunnel as the plane train, but it's much faster to take the plane train, unless you feel like sprinting between concourses.

My wife and I will be traveling from Huntsville, AL to Montego Bay, Jamaica on Delta Airlines with a connection in Atlanta. This is our first time to fly internationally. Do we have to re-check our checked bag once we get to Atlanta or will it be checked all the way through to Montego Bay from Huntsville?

On your way to Jamaica you don't have to do anything with your bags, just go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. On your way back you will have to claim them to go through customs then re-check them at the transfer desk.

    Thanks!
