Hi, We will be arriving in ATL from PUJ at 5.30 pm via Delta. Our connecting flight on AA to LAX leaves at 7.10. Do you think 1 hour 40 minutes will be enough time to accomplish this? Thank you for your expertise!

On two separate tickets? No, that's pretty much impossible.

I have a 1 1/2 hour connection time into ATL from MBJ going to FSD. Is this enough time? Thanks

That should be barely enough time if your flight from Jamaica is on-time.

traveling with two children. When I arrive in ATL I just need to go to my connecting flight which is delta all the way. But on my way home do I need to obtain my luggage after going through customs before going to my demestic flint home? 3 hr layover

Yes, in Atlanta you will arrive in the E or F concourse, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and take the plane train to your departure concourse.

Will I have to pay for my luggage again at rechec?

We will be flying into ATL from ANU in the Caribean with Delta, connectiong to AMS on KLM. So international passing through so to say. I have read I have to go through customs and security checks again with this transfer. Is this correct? Even though we are ot actually "entering" te USA and not leaving the terminal? We have just under 3 hours connecting time so that should be plenty even if customs takes an hour (once spend 2hrs in customs line at JFK).

Yes, in Atlanta you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. 3 hours should be plenty of time.

Hi we are flying in from Memphis to Orlando with delta at 1030 am with a 40 min connecting flight we do not know airport is this enough time to get make next flight.

The plane train connects all concourses inside security. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time if your flight from Memphis is on-time. If it is late and you miss your connection. Delta has hourly flights from Atlanta to Orlando that you can be rebooked on.

Hi myself and my boyfriend are travelling from Nashville to Punta cana in Aug with our connection flight in Alanta. However we only have a 44min conection time, I have contacted delta airlines who have said that it it over the 40minute minimum connection time. However just 4 minutes over the minimum doesnt give me great confidence. How easy and quickly can you get around Alanta airport to get to your next gate when both flights are Delta, and will our baggage automatically follow us or do we have to wait to collect it? Thanks

You don't have to do anything with your baggage. Yes, 44 minutes is possible. All you have to do is take the Plane Train from your arrival concourse to concourse E or F where you will depart to Punta Cana. It shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes. Obviously there's little time to spare if your flight from Nashville is delayed.

Will be flying on southwest from bwi to atlanta with 45 min layover then connecting to orlando is this enough time with 2 kids?

Yes, that should be enough time. All Southwest flights are on the same concourse and all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

We are leaving ATL from gate T17 but the map only goes to T15. Where is T17? Is it after T15 even though it doesn't show on map?

Yes, they added gates for United at the end of the T concourse. T17 is now at the end of T. The map has not been updated.

We are starting in Akron, connect in Atlanta, then head to Peru today. How early do you suggest getting to the first airpot, Akron? Is the international flight considered the Atlanta to Peru leg?

Yes, the international leg is the second flight. The only thing extra you may have to do in Akron is they will probably check your passports when you check your bags. You can arrive a little over an hour before your flight in Akron. All you have to do in Atlanta is take the plane train from your arrival concourse to concourse E or F where you will depart.

US Citizen. Flying on one ticket-Delta-this August. Lay over in ATL is 1 hour-50 minutes. Recently discovered this info (getting baggage, immigration, security, rechecking baggage, etc.) about transiting in the USA. Do you think one hour-50 minutes is enough for a smooth transfer? Since I cannot get out of my present nonrefundable reservation, I was thinking that if it seemed too difficult (greater than 50% chance of potentially missing my connection), maybe I would change my travel plans in Peru-at this point still doable, but I would rather not.

Yes, 1 hr 50 minutes should be enough time.

Thanks ZAP from me and all else you help

Fly on Delta from ATL to PUJ, Will a 45 minutes layover be enough time for international trip to DR, I always seem to have issues with layover flights.

Yes, if your first flight is domestic that is enough time, but it obviously leaves no time to spare if the first flight is delayed. In Atlanta you just have to take the plane train from your arrival concourse to concourse E or F where you will depart.

Hey! I'll be flying soon from SCL (Chile) airport to LAX, with 2 hour layover in ATL. I'm a first time flyer (by myself, that is) and I'm a bit scared as of what I'll have to do once I get to Concourse F (the INT'L flights terminal) and how to get to the Domestic flights terminalto catch my flight to LAX. Will I have to pass through security again? What about flight check-in? How will I know what train/shuttle/whatever to take to the Delta Airlines terminal for domestic flights? I know this sounds silly, but I just need to feel safe and make sure that I won't get lost there, since the airport back home isn't as big as this one. Thanks!!

You will be checked in and get your boarding pass for both flights in Santiago. Once you arrive in atlanta you will be funneled to US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then follow signs for connecting passengers and re-check bags at the re-check desk, then go through security. Then take the plane train (the only train you can take) to your departure concourse. You can get your departure gate from the monitors after your clear customs or from delta.com or the delta app on your phone. You have enough time.
