We are flying from Grand Rapids, MI to Orlando with a 52 minute layover in Atlanta. Is that enough time to make our connection?

Yes, that's enough time if the flight from Grand Rapids is on-time.

We are arriving from Nassau into Atlanta then going to Nashville both flights Delta. Will we have to recheck our bag (only 1 check bag) in Atlanta?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Nassau. All you have to do in Atlanta is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate on the plane train. You don't have to do anything with your checked baggage.

arr ATL on DL/KL from AMS and connect to KL/DL 5352 PIT.- I am pregnant and need help with bags and can I get the terminal trolley to take me to the gate- can we pay to get the service.

There are no carts at Atlanta because the concourses are only connected by a train. Just request wheelchair service if you can't walk.

Hi, I'm travelling from montreal to Puerto rico both by Delta and my lay over in Atlanta is 2h 20min., I know I have to go from international terminal to domestic terminal S but I do not know if I have to pick up my suitcase and then go to the domestic flights or my suitcase will go directly to my next flight? please need advise, I'm travelling on december 22 with my daughter and I'm stressed

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Montreal. All you have to do in Atlanta is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have plenty of time. The Plane Train connects all concoruses inside security.

Thank you so much for your answer, so I should not have go to immigration again that is nice, and my bags should I have to pick them up o Delta will sent them to my next flight? you are very nice, thank you again.

Correct, all you have to do in Atlanta is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate, you don't have to do anything with your bags.

Zap, thank you so much and you are amazing!!!

  • Connecting flight in ATL

I'm flying into domestic term South and need to make my connecting flight to Punta Cana in the international term. My layover is only 45 minutes. Is that enough time or will I need to book it?

If all goes well, that is, your incoming flight is on time, 45 minutes is plenty of time. About 5 minutes to catch the PlaneTrain and 5 minutes to the int'l terminal. Of course, factor in the airline's required minimum boarding time before you're bumped. Delta normally required you be on board 15 minutes before scheduled departure.

  • Cancun - Atlanta - Amsterdam, ATL layover 1:45h

I'm travelling from Cancun to Amsterdam and layover time in Atlanta is 1:45h. Is this enough? All flights are operated by Delta. Thanks!

That is barely enough time. You will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate.

Thank you! What if I miss my connection flight? Will they re-route me to the destination?

Yes, they will book you on the next available flight to Amsterdam.

    Again, Thank you ZAP!

I'm flying in from Rome on Jan. 5th and wonder if the 2 hour connection time will be sufficient to go through customs and make my connecting flight to Columbus. I'd rather change flight now than be stuck in airport. Thank you.

Yes, that should be enough time if the flight from Rome is on-time.

  • 48 minutes layover !!!!!

Hi I'm travelling from Pittsburgh to France and my layover in Atlanta is 48 minutes only, is this enough time to switch from terminal S to I? First flight with Air France operated by Delta and second flight is Air France. Thank you

You don't actually have to change terminals - you just take the Plane Train from your arrival concourse to concourse E or F where you depart. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time.

  • Time to travel between terminal N and terminal S

I will arrive in ATL at 21:20 with turkish airlines (terminal N) and will depart at 22:25 with delta (terminal S). Is 1h 5 minutes enough? What if I decide to only have carry on luggage? Thanks!

You do not arrive in Terminal N. you will arrive in the International Terminal. You do not have enough time for that connection. If you have already purchased your flight from Turkey, plan on spending the night in Atlanta.

I have just a little over an hour to make it from a domistic flight to an international flight. How will I make it?

If both flights are on Delta then all you have to do is take the plane train from your arrival concourse to concourse E or F where you depart and board your flight. you have enough time.

Wanting to book a flight to PHX from Pittsburgh on Southwest. The flight stops in Atlanta; there is only 35 minutes b4 the connecting flight leaves. Will I have enough time between gates. Thanks

Good luck. Atlanta is a very large airport. I'm surprised Southwest booked you with so little layover. Your lifesaver will be if your connecting flight's gate is nearby your arrival gate from PIT. And you'll be out of luck if your taxiing time is lengthy getting to the gate. Try to get info ahead of time the gate you're arriving at and your departure gate; this way you'll be prepared to run if you have to get to another concourse.

All Southwest gates in ATL are close together.

Thx. It scares me,since I don't like to fly anyway. I hesitated booking for that reason & am hoping the gates are like 'next to each other' as in Pittsburgh

Thank you. That's is what I am hoping.

The Southwest website says they occupy Concourse "C" gates 1-7, 9, 10, 12-17 and 20-22. All of these are relatively "close" together.

  • lay over time

Is 1 hour and 45 minutes enough layover time before a flight to Narita, Japan. Coming from RSW to Atlanta.

Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate on the Plane Train.

Yes. As long as you have checked your luggage thru to your international destination, you do not have to leave the secured area to get from domestic to international flights. Depending on where your arrival and departure gates are you may not have time to shop or eat, but you should have plenty of time to get to your next flight.

I have a flight Delta 1360 from Birmingham, AL arriving at Atlanta 3:30pm terminal S. My connecting flight is Delta 1210, departing at 4:31pm. Do I have enough time to make the connection?

Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate on the plane train.

Flying Delta from FLL-ATL and Virgin Atlantic from ATL-LHR. Layover in ATL is 46 minutes. Will this be enough time to make the LHR flight, with or without checked baggage on the same reservation

Yes, all you have to do in Atlanta is take the plane train from your arrival concourse to concourse E or F where you depart. You have just enough time.

As long as you have checked bags through to your international destination. Carry-on bags not an issue, since you will not leave the secured area when moving between domestic and international flights. Travel between concourses depends on your arrival and departure gate locations. In order, Concourses are T, A, B, C, D, E, and F. Most, but not all, international flights depart from F. If you arrive at T and depart from F, they are the furthest apart, so don't dawdle ... go straight for your departure gate.
