I am flying from dc to atl to mexico city but there is only a 42 minutes layover in atl. is that enough time to go through whatever security or customs or passport control?4f

You don't have to go through security, customs, or passport control. There is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Plane Train connects all concourses at ATL inside security. You have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

I will be arriving in Atlanta at 8:30 a.m. and have 1 hour and 15 minutes to get to my connecting flight to PV. Is this enough time to navigate the airport and get to my gate? Do I have to pick up my luggage and re-check it?

All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate, nothing with your luggage. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security. You have enough time.

Hello, We are flying from Amsterdam on Delta 073 arriving at Terminal I. Then we leave for West Palm Beach on DL 1053 on Feb. 15. We have 2 h time in between flights, but as I am blind it may take us a tad longer (4 pers). How far is it from Terminal I to S, and how long do you usually spend in customs? Thank you.

You don't actually have to change terminals. You will arrive in the E or F concourse, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and take the Plane Train directly to your departure concourse. You should have enough time.

Flying into Atlanta from Toronto, have 45 min to get connection to Panama City beach, is that enough time.

Yes that should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security.

Hi there, we are arriving on a flight Delta 2369 at Terminal S at 17:04 and our connection to London leave 17:45 in Terminal I at 17:45 a 41 minute transfer window. Is the airport a large airport, is this possible?

Yes, Atlanta is large but you don't actually have to change Terminals. You will arrive in Concourse T or A and depart from Concourse E or F. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security at the middle and all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

I am flying into ATL from Wichita (ICT) and land at Terminal S. I have 2h35m to transfer to Terminal I for my flight to London (LHR). As this is such a busy airport and confusing to me from a look at the map I would like to know if it is terribly complicated to switch Terminals and how long (approximately) it should take to do so? Including Security checks of course. Thanks!!

You don't actually have to change terminals. You will arrive in Concourse A, B, C, or D and depart from Concourse E or F. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have plenty of time.

Approximately how long does it take to get from Int Termal to Domestic terminal AFTER immigration, baggage collect, customs ect....Thank you

After re-checking your bags you will go through a special security line for connecting passengers and take the Plane Train directly to your departure concourse. From the point when you clear back through security to reaching your departure gate should take no more than 10 minutes.

    Many thanks

Thank you.

Yes, 3 hours is plenty of time. You don't actually have to change terminals. After re-checking your bags you will go through a special security line for connecting passengers and take the Plane Train directly to your departure concourse.

Hi our Virgin flight will be arriving at Terminal 1 and our connecting flight be a Delta flight leaving from terminal S. 1. will we need to recheck our luggage 2. how long between the terminals Thanks Ria

You don't actually have to change terminals and that "1" is actually an "I". You will arrive in the E/F concourse, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and take the Plane train directly to your departure concourse - no need to actually go to the "S" Terminal. 90 minutes is the minimum International to Domestic connection time in Atlanta but I recommend 2 hours.

Hi - I will be flying with Air France from Brussels to Las vegas with a stop in Atlanta. On the e-ticket it says the Brussels - Atlanta flight will arrive at Terminal I and the Atlanta - Las Vegas flight will depart at Terminal S. How do I go from terminal I to terminal S and what about customs, luggage etc. I have a little less than 2 hours to change planes.

Both flights will be on Delta, not Air France. In Atlanta, you will arrive in the E or F gates, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and then take the plane train to your departure gate, which will likely be in concourse T, A, B, or C. You don't actually have to go to the "S Terminal". You should have enough time.

Hi I'm flying from Jamica to Atl landing at 16.05 with Delta and then transferring to another Delta flight to Liberia, Costa Rica at 17.55. Do I have enough time and will I have to go through immigration and collect bags (and re-check in) ?

Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. You should have enough time. You will need a US Transit Visa if you are a Jamaican citizen.

Thanks, I am a British citizen and have an ESTA, is that all I need and will it make a difference to the transfer time?

Sorry, one more question, is it the same terminal?

Yes, everything will be in the E/F concourse which are part of the International Terminal.

Hi, We are planning a trip from Ireland. Due to fly from Dublin on KLM flight KL6177 landing at 14.01 at Atlanta. Our connection flight then to Orlando is with Delta and departs at 16.00 DL2586. Will we need to collect our bags and recheck them in? Also will we need to to pass through immigration? Finally will this connection time be enough? Thanks

Both of your flights will be on Delta. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. All you have to do in Atlanta is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security. You have plenty of time.
