I have a 6 hr layover in ATL between a domestic and international flight. If I leave security can I go back they at the domestic terminal so I can take the airport train or do I have to take the shuttle and go thru security in the international terminal?
Will be arriving from PDX at terminal S, connecting to terminal S 2. Have less than 1 hr. Are those gates near each other?
You won't know your exact gates until the day of your flight and in fact won't even go to the domestic terminal itself. You will just go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Plane Train connects every concourse inside security. An hour is enough time.
Flying DELTA into ATL from RSW and i have 55 minutes to get to my international flight VIRGIN ATLANTIC into HEATHROW Is it possible .We arnt youngsters but can get a move on thanks
Yes, that is possible. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security and all you have to do in Atlanta is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.
Hi, my parents are arriving in Atlanta from Sao Paulo at 5:49 and departing to Toronto at 7:31. I know they have to do US immigration and customs but will they have to claim and re-check baggage as well? In case they don't have to pick-up baggage they do not need to go through security again?
They should not have to claim their bags. They will still have to go through security to access their departure gate after clearing customs.
I'm coming from Chicago on Southwest, arriving in ATL at 1015am, departing ATL for Punta Cana Dominican Republic at 11. Is this enough time and will I have to go through customs?
There is no US Customs when leaving the US. If both flights are on Southwest all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
Arrive in Atlanta, Sep. 13 on Delta flight 3053 at 7:08, Terminal S. Leave to Paris from Terminal I at 8:20. Do I have enough time to make the connection? How far between the terminals? Do I have to walk or take the train?

Thanks for the help.
You don't actually change terminals. You will arrive in Concourse B, C, or D and depart from Concourse E or F. All you have to do is take the Plane Train from your arrival concourse to your departure concourse. You have enough time.
We arrive to Atlanta 2:00pm from Paris. Our connection flight is at 5:50pm to Lima with Delta. Do we have enough time for the connection? Do we need to pick up our baggage? Check out an in?
That should be enough time. If both flights are on the same reservation you won't have to claim your bags, but you will have to go through US Immigration, Customs, and Security.
I have a flight from Pittsburgh to Atlanta and then on to Venice, Italy. When I booked the flight I had an hour layover in Atlanta-- that has now been changed to 45 minutes. Is this enough time to make the second flight?
Yes, it's still possible but obviously now leaves no time to spare.
According to my flight details I'll arrive with DL131 at 15:35 at Terminal I and depart with DL468 at 17:03 from Terminal S.
Can't find those terminal numbers in the airport maps...
Is 90 min enough for immigration, customs and making the transfer?
You arrive in Concourse E or F, go through US immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and to your departure concourse on the Plane Train. 90 minutes is really cutting it close and I wouldn't recommend such a short connection.
Thanks for the quick reply :-)
Do you think 17:30 for the connecting flight (eg. Delta 2784) would be sufficient?
Not sure whether I'll still be able to rebook, though - it's actually tomorrow...
Leave atl through charlotte to Toronto on American Airlines which terminal in Atlanta do we go to
You go to the N Domestic Terminal. There is no American Airlines desk in the International Terminal.
