Hey, I'm flying from miami to Atlanta and then to Costa rica, i have an hour and half connection in atlanta before my flight to Costa Rica Flys. Do I need to claim my bag and drop it to Costa and do I need to go thru customs? Will I manage to do it in hour and half

There is no US Immigration or Customs when leaving the US. If all tickets are on the same reservation then all you have to do in Atlanta on your way to Costa Rica is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security.

Hi, I have a connection from jamaica arriving in atlanta at 13:03 on thursday and leaving for Amsterdam at 15:05. Both Delta bookings. If i don't make it through immigration in time does Delta put me on the next available flight? Thanks for any info you can offer.

Yes, that should be enough time. Yes, if you miss your connection Delta will put you on the next available flight to Amsterdam. There should be another one later that evening.

Hi I arrive in S terminal at 15.33 (Delta flight) and I need to make a 17.45 Virgin Atlantic flight leaving from the international terminal (no checked luggage). Is this enough time to get the connection train and clear security? Thanks!

You don't have to go through security or change terminals. You just have to take the plane train from your arrival concourse to concourse E or F where you depart. You have plenty of time.

    Thank you!

I'm arriving to Atlanta from Baltimore BWI with Delta at 4.59pm and the have to catch a flight to Paris with Air France at 5.50pm. Both tickets were sold by Air France. Is 50 minutes enough for this connection? Will it help if I don't check any baggage? Thanks!

All you have to do in Atlanta is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security. You have enough time if your flight from BWI is on-time.

    Thank you!

I will be arriving at ATL at 15.46 on a KLM flight operated by Delta Air Lines. My Delta airline connection departs to Medellin @ 17.30. 1. Is there enough time to make my connection 2. Will I need to go through USA security/customs

Where is your flight into Atlanta coming from? I can't answer your question without that information.

KLM Flight 6115 from Frankfurt, Germany

OK, that is Delta flight 15. You will arrive in concourse E or F, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate which will also be in Concourse E or F. You barely have enough time if everything goes perfectly.

OK, at least I know, thanks for your help

I have two delta flights booked: Charleston to ATL connecting ATL to Salt Lake City. I only have 40 minutes between the connecting flight, is that enough time and do I need to go through security again?

All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security. You do not have to go through security in Atlanta. You have enough time if your flight from Charleston is on-time.

I will be flying from Montego Bay, Jamaica to Atlanta then from Atlanta to Seattle. Both flights are through Delta. Will I have to go through security again in Atlanta and recheck my bags. If so, how much time should I have between flights

You will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate via the Plane Train. You want at least 2 hours.

We are flying from Cancun,Mexico to Atlanta Int with Delta and then on to London Heathrow with the same airline. We have 2hr 4m between flights. Will our luggage be taken care of and will we need to check-in?

You will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. Both gates will be in the E or F concourse in Atlanta. You have enough time.

I will be flying from Pittsburgh to Atlanta then from Atlanta to cancun. Both flights are through Delta. Will I have to go through security again in Atlanta and recheck my bags. If so, how much time should I have between flights

No, you will not have to go through security or do anything with your bags in Atlanta on the way to Cancun. There is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. Anything over an hour would be appropriate.

Will I need to gather my bags in the international terminal and check them in in the domestic terminal? Will two hours be enough time? It is all on a Delta ticket.

You can re-check your bags at the re-check desk in the international terminal immediately after clearing customs and then go through security and take the Plane Train directly to your departure concourse. There's no need to go to the domestic terminal.

Also you should have enough time.

we fly from Miami to Atlanta on southwest and then need to get on a flight to London on virgin atlantic. what is best way and how long should it take

If you have checked baggage you will have to go to the North side of the domestic terminal to claim your bags, then take a shuttle bus to the International Terminal, re-check your bags with Virgin Atlantic, and go through security. I recommend at least 3 hours for such a transfer.

I have a flight booked through delta from coming from Milwaukee with an estimated time of arrival at 15:56 and my connecting flight to Gulfport Ms departing at 14:40. Is this enough time to get to my next gate? The only bags I will have is my carry on.

    I meant 16:40 instead of 14:40.

Yes, that is enough time if the flight from Milwaukee is on-time. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security.

I'm leaving from ATL to Cancun with a layover in Chicago on Southwest. Will check in be at the international terminal for Southwest or domestic? I have heard it could be either one.

Southwest only has a check-in counter on the North side of the domestic terminal. They do not have one in the International Terminal.

I will be arriving from Minneapolis and need to get to Antigua. Is it possible to do in 60 minutes? Must I take a shuttle with my bag?

You don't take a shuttle or have to do anything with your checked bags. You just take the Plane Train from your arrival concourse to concourse E or F where you depart. You have enough time.

Thank you! This greatly puts my mind at ease!

We land at Atlanta on Virgin flight from London at 2.00pm. Will we have time to clear immigration and catch the 3.55 Delta flight to Orlando? I understand that our luggage will not go straight through and will need to be collected and transferred to new flight. All seems a bit tight.

Yes, that is correct. You do have enough time if everything goes smoothly. Delta has hourly flights from Atlanta to Orlando if you miss your connection.
