ATL is about to officially open the new International Terminal on May 16, this info may no longer work: The Domestic Passenger Terminal Complex at Atlanta Airport: Doors W1 & W2 lead to the escalators, and next to the elevator is the Delta ticket service center, followed in the center by the MARTA City Train. Beyond the MARTA train station is the Information desk. You are now entering the Arrivals lobby, starting with the Atlanta Convention & Visitors' Bureau and the Travelers Aid station. Food, drink and retail establishments surround the atrium, with an escalator in the middle to the third level Atrium which houses the USO. 1. Yes - all international arrivals need to go through the immigraton process. You will arrive either at the E or F gates of the new International Terminal (officially opening 5/16/12). After debarkation, passengers walk the corridor towards the escalators taking them to the Arrivals level, where they go through customs & Immigration, then proceed to the baggage claim area with 7 baggage carousels. (a) Connecting passengers recheck-in their bags by proceeding to the transit area past baggage claim and turning left to baggage recheck counters, then follow signs to Concourse F Plane Train station or pedestrian walkway connecting to concourse & E.

ATL's new international terminal opens May 11. 1. Arrivals at Concourses E or F have separate immigration & customs checkpoints. Thereafter bags are re-checked and transferred to connecting flights. Passenger has to pass through security check and then follow signs to the 'Plane Train' connecting international concourses E & F with all other concourses and the domestic terminal. Most likely your connecting Delta flight is out of Concourse A (with gates A1-A34), but look at the overhead screens on arrival to find your flight & gate number. Only after the new International Terminal opens on May 16, will the 'Plane Train' connect international concourses E & F with all other concourses and the domestic terminal. Presently the ATL's SkyTrain on dual-lane elevated 1.5 mile tracks, moves passengers between the Terminal Complex and the new Rental Car Center (a four-lane roadway across Interstate 85 also connects to the rental car center), with a stop in between at Georgia International Convention Center (GICC). It's ten-minute round trip with a 2.5 minute waiting time at the stations.

You arrive and depart from the South Terminal at ATL. On arrival look at the overhead screens to find your Delta /KLM flight to AMS indicating departure time and gate number (T, A, B, C, D & E gates + number) - use the APM people mover serving these stations. Just follow signs.

Concourse D has gates D1-20 & D21-46 - divided in the center by the APM train station.

Since you use the same airline for both flights, you will arrive & depart from the North Terminal. Upon arrival, look at the overhead screens to find your airline & flight number - it will indicate your gate. Then simply follow signs to your connecting gate. 45 mins is enough time.

Your party arrives at the North Terminal. You have two options: 1. use the free Cell Phone Lot with 160 spaces situated along South Terminal Parkway at east end of Park-Ride Reserve lot, accessible to the right of the parkway by a new driveway. Stay with your car until your party has collected bags and calls you to be picked up at the terminal curb. 2. Use the daily/hourly North Parking Deck and walk to the Main terminal's Arrivals area - meet your party in front of the information counter. Other parking options at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport: At present the following parking facilities are available 24/7 - all of which offer disabled parked closest to the terminal from each lot. (a) for Terminal North: North Daily & Hourly parking deck & North Economy lot;

You may want to stay for a while at your arriving Main South terminal and either meet your party there on the arrivals level in front of the main Information counter - or meet up at the new Consolidated Rental Car Center accessible via the continuously running ATL SkyTrain (a 5-minute trip) - the train also connects you with the Georgia International Convention Center. Your party will arrive in the Main North terminal.
