From Amsaterdam to Tampa vie AtlantaJan 18, 201210We are coming from Amsterdam by flight DL9374 to Atlanta and continuing to Tampa by flight DL2304. What should we do in Atlanta? Thanks.***posted on Wed, Jan 18[ Reply ][ Like ]1. As an international arrival, you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). Until 'Spring 2012' when the International Terminal opens, Concourse E functions as international terminal. After customs clearance & re-check-in of baggage, take the APM train to your departure Concourse & corresponding gates (D, C, B, A, or T), and arrive there in minutes. Watch the overhead screens for your Tampa connecting flight and see which gate you have to be in, (i.e., A gates A1, B2, C3). Count on 30-45 mins for customs clearance, etc. and another 20 minutes to your gates (at most).1039posted on Wed, Jan 18

Enough time to change?Dec 20, 201110Arriving on Delta 1234 in South terminal at 8:14 am. My next flight is AA 1735 to SJU at 9:45 am, I believe it's in the North terminal. With only a carry on, is this enough time to make it? Is there any route to change terminals without going through security again?RosieSposted on Mon, Dec 19

arrival & depart gatesDec 15, 201112I'm flying Delta and my tickets don't have what gate I'm arriving and departing from... Is there a way to figure it out? I only have a 45min layover here with 2 kids... eeeekkk!jstmeposted on Wed, Dec 142 people like this post [ Like ]Delta uses A, B, C D & E gates (D & E being international gates) - depending on where they come fron/go to. Your ticket should read, i.e., E27, A18, D33, C42, etc.) You can also check on day of departure by visting atlanta-airport.com - to the left check first Arrivals and add DL (Delta) enter, then move down screen and sort by DL again. - then do the same for Departures.HH39posted on Thu, Dec 15

International to domestic?Dec 12, 201110I am flying in from Mexico in March and connecting to an AirTran flight. Can I make the connecting flight in 1hour from the new International airport?EMJposted on Mon, Dec 121. AirTran departs from the North Terminal. You need to look at your ticket to see which gate you arrive at and depart from (The North terminal has gates T1-15, A1-34, B1-36, C1-57, D1-46 & E1-37. If you arrive at the South Terminal, you would have to transfer over to the North Terminal (flanked on either side of Main Terminal are North & South Terminals. The Automated People Mover train runs between the A through E concourses, in the center of their gates. 2. As an international arrival, you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). Note, however, that you may not be able to re-check-in your bag if you travel on more than one ticket issued by non-participating airlines, in which case you need to take your bag to your connecting terminal and check it in there. Count on this procedure to take 30-45 mins.1039posted on Mon, Dec 12

South Terminal to E27Dec 4, 201110I am arriving from Toronto (DL4025) at 8.51am I believe at South Terminal and have connection to DL531 to Cancun at 9.47am from E27. Is it enough time to make connection and what is the best way to get thereAlex_sauposted on Sat, Dec 3Today's arrivals/departures at ATL did no show either flight. However, keep in mind that for boarding there are six concourse buildings parallel to one another, with Concourse T being directly connected to the main terminal, and Concourses A, B, C, D & E being arranged successively in distance from the terminal. The center of each terminal has escalators to the train, with the gate areas on either side, and food & drink establishments, retail stores, services and lounges disbursed throughout each concourse. Concourse E, the farthest terminal from the Main Terminal. Look at your ticket which will show you the gate you arrive at (i.e., B-10 would be Concourse B, gate 10, etc.) you have plenty of time, as Toronto has U.S. customs clearance & you won't have to do that at ATL.HH39posted on Sun, Dec 4

Another timing questionNov 7, 201111We're arriving in Concourse A, and have roughly an hour to make a connecting flight in Concourse E. Is it going to be difficult to make the flight in Concourse E? Thank you in advance.RvmFF8posted on Mon, Nov 71 person likes this post [ Like ]

Flying to CharlotteOct 17, 201110I have a flight that says I am departing from Atlanta West B Hartsfield and the ticket says that this could be a surrounding airport. Is this located in Hartsfield as normal for me or is it located somewhere else? USAirways flight to Charlotte NCpsbposted on Mon, Oct 171. From the main terminal and the main security checkpoint you get to North & South security checkpoints and their North & South Terminals. US Airways are located in the North Terminal. The APM train takes you to Concourses A-E. Your Concourse will be B,with B gates (i.e., B10, B7) - look at your ticket for the gate number).1039posted on Mon, Oct 17

From B11 to C45 in 35 minutes?Oct 15, 201112Is it possible to make this second fllight that is scheduled 35 minutes after first plane lands? Also, will the luggage make it?Romns828posted on Fri, Oct 142 people like this post [ Like ]1. Make sure that you have your bags tagged with the codes of all 3 airports when checking in. In Atlanta, bags will be transferred to your next flight. 2. You can make the transfer from B to C gates by automated people mover. Unless you are an international arrival & need to go through passport & customs clearance and re-check-in your bags (taking up to 30 mins) you have enough time.HH39posted on Sat, Oct 15

Arriving South Terminal departing NorthSep 2, 201110will I be able to connect with an arrival of 922 PM and departure of 1040 PM. I am traveling from DFW / ATL/ Amsterdam/ final destination Nice , will my bags be checked from DFW to Nice ? Thank youmsposted on Thu, Sep 11. At DFW make sure your bags are properly labeled for ATL, AMS & NCE. Keep valuables with you onboard. Bags should arrive in Nice safely. 2. Familiarize yourself with the layout of the terminals so that you know where you arrive and where to and how you need to transfer. Bon Voyage!HH39posted on Fri, Sep 2

Can I get to my gate on time?Jan 21, 201231I am arriving from Paris AF 680 25 aug and my next fly Delta 300 to MSPL the same day at 10 p.m. It's possible to get this on time?Valposted on Mon, Aug 221 person likes this post [ Like ]I only see 8 & 9 thousand flight number listings for AirFrance - look at your ticket and see what flight number and which gates (i.e. A2, B3, C10) you arrive at. Both AirFrance & Delta are in Main Terminal South, but at different Concouses. Note that international arrivals need to get their checked bags first, go through customs clearance and re-check-in their bags (which should be tagged as through baggage at original departure airport). Then proceed to the people Mover (APM) which gets you to the concourse of your connecting flight.HH39posted on Tue, Aug 23I'm flying from Brazil to Salt Lake City making connection in Atlanta. Usually in that gate I make the connection to Salt Lake?Marcelloposted on Sun, Sep 25
