Hi, I will be arriving in Atlanta on DL 488 and need to depart on DL734, please can you give me directions on how to get from the DL 488 gate to DL734, and will 1 hour be enough time to get there? Thank you.
You don't know your exact gates until the day of your flight. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security inside security.
Hello. We are flying into Atlanta on a Virgin Atlantic flight due 14.55 at the International Terminal. We are connecting with Southwest flight 1273 to New Orleans departing at 18.10. Please advise how best to get from the International Terminal to connect with our Southwest flight. Many thanks.
You have to take a shuttle bus from the International Terminal to the N Domestic Terminal with your bags to re-check them with Southwest. It will be very difficult if not impossible for you to make that connection.
Wow. Thought 3 hours would be ample time. Thanks for this - will be very conscious of time and look to reschedule to the later flight if we need to.
I am looking at flying from Washington to the Bahamas via Atlanta ATL with Delta. Can you please advise
1. if 37 mins from landing on one flight ( at the Domestic terminal) and taking off on another flight ( Int Terminal ) be sufficient. Obviously I do not want to miss the connecting flight.

2. We will also have checked in baggage hopefully transfer from one plane to the other - is 37mins sufficient time also.

3. I also hear that on non US main land flights ( Nassau ) you need to be at the gate 45mins prior to take off. Can you please confirm typical last boarding time prior to flight take off.

if 37mins is not considered workable can you please advise the recommended time.

I would be very grateful for your considered reply.
They do not close the door 45 minutes prior to departure. This is a possible connection but it leaves literally no time to spare if the first flight is delayed.
Hello, I have a 2 hour 6 minute connection in Atlanta from Cancun to London. I will be at the International Terminal, but will I need to collect my bags and re-check them in? Or do I just go through security again and go to my gate? Thank you
Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, US Customs, and Security. Your bags can be routed directly to London but you have to confirm that with the check-in agent in Cancun.
I am travelling from Heathrow to Wilmington with a 1 hr 55 min layover in Atlanta. Is this long enough? I've never visited the USA before, will my luggage be checked through and do I have to go through customs/ security?
In Atlanta, you will go through US immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and take the Plane Train to your departure concourse. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
Our Southwest arrival from Punta Cana is at 6:45PM can we make a domestic El Paso flight at 8PM?
Considering the El Paso flight will be on Delta, no, that's not enough time.
This flight is a Southwest not Delta. Do you still think we will not have enough time?
Then it's still very difficult.
I have a domestic connection from atlanta to newark. Then a international connection from Newark to Glasgow. Do I go to the domestic terminal in Atlanta and will my bags be transferred to the International Connection in Newark for me? Also do I have to be in Atlanta 3 hrs or 1 1/2 hrs before the domestic part of the flight.
If you are flying United then you go to the domestic terminal - there is no United check-in desk in the International Terminal. Yes, you don't have to do anything with your bags in Newark on the way to Glasgow. You do not have to be at the airport 3 hours before your flight in Atlanta. I recommend 2 hours.
We have a connecting flight with a 49 minute layover in Atlanta prior to our flight to London. How do you recommend we get from Terminal S to Terminal I? The Flights are Delta 80 landing in Atlanta and Delta 28 to London. Thanks!
You don't actually have to change terminals. You just take the Plane Train from your arrival concourse to concourse E or F where you depart. You have enough time.
Hi- My family is traveling on Delta from Ord to ATL where we have a 43-minute layover to catch our international Delta flight to SXM (the flights were purchased together). If the first flight is on-time, will we make it? I'm hoping our luggage will be transferred for us and we won't have to go through security to make the connection. Is this accurate and do you have any time saving suggestions? Thank you so much- we can use all the advice we can get!!! This is making me super nervous- lol.
Yes, that is enough time if the first flight is on-time. Correct, you don't have to do anything with your bags or go through security in Atlanta on the way to St. Maarten.
Thank you for your reply! That makes me feel much less anxious.

Take care,
Rachel
Hi I arrive on Sunday at 20.39 to Atlanta from New Orleans my connecting flight to London is scheduled to leave at 21.33 from Atlanta, leaving me 54 mins - is this enough time?
Also will I need to collect and recheck my bags?

Thanks
That is enough time. All you have to do is take the Plane Train from your arrival concourse to your departure concourse. You don't have to do anything with your bags.
