Hi. I have a flight from Washington DC to Atlanta by southwest airlines that will arrive at 8:30 am in N terminal. I have another flight at 10:30 am by Delta from Atl to Kansas City that will take off from S terminal. How can I go from N to S terminal. I have only carry on, should I go through the security check in Atlanta again
If you only have carry-ons you can check in online for your Delta flight and go directly to your departure gate - you don't have to go to the "S" or "N" Terminals.
I am flying from cancun to atlanta and from atlanta to amsterdam, arriving at f9, bagage at f7 and departure at f3. I will have 1,5 hours, will i make it?? And more importantly; do i have to recheck bagage in this case?
You will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and to your departure gate. You have just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
You will not have to recheck your bags since you have another international flight. You only recheck your bags when you're connecting somewhere in the U.S
Jp, that is only true in DFW, IAH, and MIA. It is not true in Atlanta, unless something has changed very recently.
Flying Delta from St. Louis MO to Destin FL. With a layover in Atlanta of 1 hour 35 minutes. This is with a baby. Our flight out of Atlanta to Fort Walton airport is also Delta. Do we need to pick up our baggage in Atlanta and be re-checked? Or will it go right on over to our next flight out of Atlanta? Also are all the Delta terminals in the same area? Or is it possible we will have to hurry quickly our next gate?
Thank you!
You don't have to do anything with your bags in Atlanta. Delta uses 5 different concourses in Atlanta for domestic flights. They are all connected inside security by the Plane Train. You have plenty of time if your flight from St. Louis is on-time.
If I travel with Delta from Bogota to Montreal do I have to claim my baggage and the recheck?
I have 2 hours lay over entering terminal F and leaving terminal D...will be there enough time?
Yes, you do. You will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and take the Plane Train to your departure concourse.
Thank you very much!
I'm a British citizen flying from Manchester Airport to Atlanta. I then have 1h35m to make my connecting flight from Atlanta to Tucson. Will I have enough time to do this? I booked through Expedia and assumed their systems would leave me enough time to make the connection but now I'm not so sure, especially if I have to pass through security and check in my luggage all over again.
It's just enough time if everything goes smoothly. You will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and take the Plane Train to your departure concourse.
Must be joking it took us 3 hrs from Delta international flight disembarkation to gate for Southwest.
Hi,

I have 40 min layover in Atlanta, which I know is tight. However, for this reason I'm only flying hand luggage.

I was wondering if anyone knew which terminal flights in from Fort Walton (VPS) in FL usually come in at, and where flights to Detroit leave from? Both with Delta. Thanks!

Delta domestic flights can use Concourses T, A, B, C, or D (and occasionally E). They are all connected inside security by the Plane Train. You have enough time if the flight from Ft. Walton Beach is on-time.
I'm taking a flight with delta (expressjet delta connection) to Atlanta and then a flight to Tokyo (narita airport). Do I have to get my luggage back in atlanta and register them again? Will I have to go through the custom posts again?
Thank you
You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Montreal. All you have to do in Atlanta on your way to Tokyo is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You don't have to do anything with your bags.
How much time it takes to walk between Gate D9 and A12? Will it be faster if I take train given that I have very close connecting flight to catch?
Yes, it would be MUCH faster to take the train. With the train it will take 10-15 minutes.
Hi, I'm flying from London to Kingtson, Jamaica on 9th January. My flight arrives at ATL T I at 14.30 and my Delta flight to Jamaica departs at 16.25. Do I have to go through US immigration and then collect my hold luggage before heading to the Kingston flight departure gate as I am only transiting? If I do, have I got enough time to transfer?
Many thanks.
Is your first flight on Virgin or Delta? Yes, you have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, and go to your departure gate. You have enough time if everything goes smoothly.
I will arrive from Frankfurt by Lufthansa at 15:00 and take a flight with Delta to Cancun at 18:10. Is this time interval sufficient for transfer?
That should be enough time if everything goes smoothly. You will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through Customs, exit into the International Terminal, re-check your bags with Delta, and go through security and to your departure gate.
