  • MCO - ATL - AMS

Hi, I fly into ATL from MCO tonight (Delta) and fly out on KLM to AMS. I've 1hr 35mins. Is that likely to be enough time? Will I have to pick my luggage up as I did on the way in? Many thanks.

You will not have to claim your bags in Atlanta on your way to Amsterdam, there is no US Customs when leaving the US. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate using the Plane Train. You have enough time.

    Thank you Zap

I arrive at ATL gate T-1 and have only 40 mins. btw landing and departing again out of B-4. will I be able to make this connection. Only carry on bags but 2 kids.thx

It's possible if the first flight is on-time. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security.

  • Terminal south to Terminal North
    Sep 28, 2016
I am flying in on Delta to the South Terminal, My Husband is flying in Frontier in the North terminal 2 hours later. Will I be able to go from the south terminal to the north without going back through security?

They are the same building. The North and South baggage claims are just two sides of the same building - you can walk between them. Additionally you could even meet him at his departure gate on the D concourse after you arrive.

  • Knoxville to Atlanta to San Diego

Anyone know which gate/terminal Knoxville Delta flights fly into and which they fly out of going to San Diego? My time is very limited and I'm hoping they'll be close!

Delta uses concourses T, A, B, C, and D for domestic flights. It could be at any of them. They are all connected inside security by the Plane Train.

So an hour would be plenty of time to get from one to the other, if no delays?

flying from GRR to Atlanta & then to Nassau, Bahamas & have almost 1 hr. will that be enough time? will I have to go to a different terminal? If I make it do you think my checked baggage will?

Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You don't actually have to change terminals. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security.

I am flying from Manchester into Atlanta Gate B10, from there I have to find GateA28 to board to Pensacola. Do I have to take a train or anything?

I'm guessing you mean Manchester, New Hampshire (a flight from Manchester, England would not arrive in B). Yes, you will have to take the Plane Train from B to A. It connects all concourses inside security.

  • Tampa - Atlanta - Seoul (Incheon)

I'm flying out of Tampa and landingn in the S Terminal in Atlanta (on Tuesday, 27 Sep). I have a 3 hour layover and then I leave out of I Terminal (at least that's what my itinerary says) to head to Incheon International Airport in Korea. What is the process for baggage recheck and customs? Will I have to drag all my baggage all over the airport? I've just had a really bad experience in LA and want to be prepared.

You don't actually have to change terminals. If both flights are on the same reservation, you don't have to do anything with your bags in Atlanta on your way to Seoul. All you have to do is take the train from your arrival concourse to concourse E or F where you depart.

  • Intl vs Domestic

Going to Cancun from Atl What terminal do I use?

If you are flying Delta you go to the International Terminal. If you are flying Southwest you go to the Domestic Terminal.

  • MAN to ATL to MCO
    Sep 25, 2016
Hi, I'm a British citizen travelling from MAN to ATL to MCO I land in ATL at 15:05 and the flight to MCO leaves at 17:00 The flight is virgin connecting to delta so will this be enough time given i will have to go through security and collect/drop off baggage etc? Thanks

That should be just about enough time if everything goes smoothly.

When or how can I find out which concourse my Virgin Atlantic flight from MAN will land at next summer? I'll then be connecting to a Delta domestic flight to MCO which I think will depart from the domestic terminally.

When next summer is it you're going goosey ? I am also doing the same next summer and was wondering the same thing.

July . Looking at your flight times, we nearly booked that flight but found another flight an hour later so that gave us a 3 hour layover before we depart for MCO

  • Time between concourses
    Sep 23, 2016
Flight arrives at gate B16 at 9:57am departing from A5 to start boarding @ 10:10am departs @ much time do I have between concourses? Better to walk or take plane train? Not familiar with Atlanta plane train. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's best to take the plane train. You should have enough time if the first flight is on-time, but it obviously doesn't leave a whole lot of time to spare.

  • Terminal N
    Sep 23, 2016
Hello Im flying from atlanta hartsfield int apt Terminal N. To charlotte NC and then abroad could someone tell me if terminal N in fomestic or International Airport? Thank you

I'm guessing you're flying American? If so you check in at the Domestic terminal, there's no AA counter in the International Terminal.

Hello Thank you for the response!Well it says British Airways but operated by American Airlines Im going to London but flying from Atlanta with a connection at Charlotte NC and it said Terminal N which got me confused with internationl or domestic?

Yes, it's the North side of the Domestic Terminal. You check in with American Airlines (which is the very last check in counter on the North Side).

    Perfect! Thank you!

  • Help please!
    Sep 22, 2016
Hi everyone! I have a layover/connecting flight to ATL at terminal A and have 36 minutes to exit and find terminal D. Is this enough time? Is it better to take the tram or walk all the way to my gate?

A and D are just concourses, not Terminals. It is fastest to take the train by far. This is possible if the first flight is on-time.

  • International to Domestic Connection
    Sep 20, 2016
Hi there! I'm returning to the US from a vacation in France and I'm due to land at ATL from CDG at 1715 on 8 November. My connecting flight from ATL to MOB leaves at 1901. I travel with only a carry-on and I have Global Entry. Is this doable? The tickets were all purchased through Delta although the CDG-ATL leg is an Air France. Thanks!

With carry-ons only and Global Entry, yes, that should be enough time.

    Thanks so much!

  • Terminal s

Help - I am arriving at terminal B and have 45 minutes total to exit and find terminal S. Is this enough time?

And please tell me where is terminal S? Thank you

Atlanta doesn't have a Terminal B. If both flights are on Delta and the fist flight is domestic all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security.

    Thank you ZAP

Zap, you obviously don't know what you're talking about. Atlanta does have a Terminal B, but they call them concourses. T,A,B,C,D,E,F. Delta is on the same terminal/concourse.

You just said it yourself - it's a concourse, not a terminal. The two terminals is the North/South domestic building and the International building.

Hi everyone I'm travelling to Knoxville TN from London Heathrow with Virgin/Delta which involves a change of flight at Atlanta. As an international passenger with hold luggage, is an hour long enough between the Virgin Atlantic flight landing and the Delta flight leaving for me to transfer?

Yes, that is enough time. All you have to do in Atlanta is take the Plane train from your arrival concourse to concourse E or F where you depart.

Thanks ZAP - very helpful - do you know whether or not I need to collect my hold luggage during the transfer, or if this is done automatically for me at Atlanta? Both there and on the way back to London?

Also I'm aware I will need to go through security as a non-US citizen - how bad a delay does security add at ATL as part of that hour layover???

You will not have to go through any special security in Atlanta on your way to London. I don't know where you heard that but it's not true. You also don't have to do anything with your bags in Atlanta on your way to London.

Sorry I misread and thought you were just talking about the trip from Knoxville to London, on the way from London to Knoxville, in Atlanta, you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then go through security and take the plane train to your departure gate.

Also, an Hour is not enough time for an International to Domestic connection in Atlanta. The realistic minimum is 2 hours.
