17-yr old has a 90-minute layover between arriving from Paris and boarding domestic flight to Norfolk in South Terminal. Is this enough time to get through customs/immigration, claim and recheck bags, and go through security in South Terminal?
That is just enough time if everything goes smoothly. She will arrive in Concourse E or F, go through US Immigration, claim her bags, go through security, re-check her bags at the re-check desk, then take the Plane Train directly to her departure concourse. She doesn't actually have to go to the South Terminal.
Good to know, thanks. Her ticket says "south terminal" as the point of departure for Norfolk flight, but I am not familiar with the ATL airport so wasn't sure where everything was in relation to each other. Is the "re-check desk" the same as checking in for anyone just going from ATL to domestic locations or is there actually a different place for international inbound travelers making domestic connections?
We are scheduled in Sept to fly Delta from MCO to ATL and connect to Delta from ATL to AMS. My wife is disabled and we have scheduled assistance between flights. However just noticed that the layover is only 40mins. Will assistance get us there on time?
I have a 61 minute layover, arriving on Delta Boeing-757 (Terminal A, I assume?) and connecting to Virgin. is this enough time? How long does the tram take from Terminal A to F? If not Terminal A, where does Hartsfield generally park their 757s?
You could arrive at T, A or B. The Plane Train takes less than 15 minutes to get to F. You have enough time if the first flight is on-time.
A friend of mine who is Brazilian ia pretty anxious about her flight from Rio to Atlanta and then her connection to Orlando. The flight arrives at 6:42 from Rio and the departure to Orlando is at 7:51 Is that enoigh time. Can someone walk me through the.process. How does she claim her baggage and checks it.to Orlando?
She is right to be anxious. That is not enough time unless the flight from Rio arrives quite early. The baggage claim will be right after she goes through US Immigration, then she will go through customs, then re-check her bags with Delta, then go through security and take the Plane Train to her departure gate.
My daughter is enrolling at Layola College in New Orleans. She is flying solo from LHR to Atlanta and then connecting to New Orleans. The transfer time in 3 hours. Is this realistic to manage customs and immigration and still make her connecting flight?
