Outbound, have 1 hour and 14 minutes on a Saturday both are Delta flights. Return is from AMS thru MSP with 2.5 hours and both are Delta. Thank you

Oops. Question is with checked bags, enough time?

Yes, that is enough time. On your way to Paris, all you have to do in Atlanta is go from your arrival concourse to your departure concourse on the Plane Train.

Hi, I'm looking to travel with Delta to BNA from LHR via ATL. Looked at some flight options but wondering how much time I should leave for the connecting flight? Also, would I have to collect my bags after going through immigration and recheck them or would they automatically be taken (this happened once before with AA at JFK). If not is getting the bags and navigating to my next flight easy? Thanks, I have never done it alone before.

Yes, you have to go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, go through security and take the Plane Train to your departure concourse. You'll want at least 2 hours.

Sorry, I'll be booking with Delta but flying Virgin Atlantic to ATL then Delta for ATL - BNA

Thank you! I posted the second part just as you posted :)

Yeah, the process is the same.

Thanks, so 2 hours 10 minutes should be enough time?

I am flying in on delta from Johannesburg in December at 645 am, I have a connecting flight to fort Lauderdale at 9am. Will I make connection in time considering it is December which is a busy time. Or do you suggest a later flight to fort Lauderdale.

    Yes, that is enough time.

I arrive in Atlanta with Virgin Atlantic from Manchester UK at 14.55, 1h50 layover, then flying with Delta to Las Vegas. I'm worried that this is not enough time! Will I need to collect bags and go through customs etc?

Yes, in Atlanta you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, and go through security and take the Plane Train to your departure concourse and gate. That is just enough time if everything goes smoothly.

I am flying from Pearson Airport in Toronto and have 1 hour to make my connection to Orlando. Is that enough time/

Yes, that is enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. All you have to do in Atlanta is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security.

Delta changed my flight schedule. Now we land at 11:16 AM and have flight to Nofolk VA iat 12:05 PM. Can we really get to our flight on time? Have never been to ATL airport, so may get lost.

Where are you flying into Atlanta from? If it's domestic that's possible.

Omaha to Atlanta, then Atlanta to Norfolk.

Then yeah, you can probably make that.

OK...maybe I'll get lucky and be the same terminal for both. Thanks!

I'm flying into ATL on Delta to NRT and have a 1 hour 6 minute layer is that enough time to catch my flight to NRT

Coming in from Greece scheduled to land at 2:20pm with Lufthansa. Domestic flight with Southwest departs 3:35pm. Is this (1hr 15mins) enough time to clear customs? I will have checked bags to claim. And then check in again at Southwest?

No, that is completely impossible. You will have to re-check your bags with Southwest in a different terminal from where you arrive. You need at least 3 hours for this connection.

    Thanks!

Hi there, I am arriving ATL from DOH via Qatar at terminal F and then plan to take a Delta flight through domestic terminal with a 2 hour layover. Is that enough to clear immigration & customs, and then check in again at Delta. Thanks

With checked bags, no, that's not enough time. You could do it without checked bags because then you could go through security after clearing customs and go straight to your departure gate on the Plane Train without having to take the slow shuttle to the domestic terminal.

Arriving from BUF to ATL and then catching a flight to San Antonio. Both are Delta flights. Is 38 minutes enough time to make the connections?

It's possible but it leaves absolutely no time to spare.

we just had schedule change and now only have an hour an 10 mins to connect and clear customs. We will be flying in from Cancun. Is this enough time?

No, that is not enough time for an International to Domestic connection in Atlanta. Call your airline and reject the schedule change and ask for an alternate flight or a refund.

I am considering a flight from GSP to MSP with a 37 minute layover in ATL. Is this enough time to make my MSP flight?? Seems very close, but hopefully the proximity of GVL to ATL and the short flight will reduce potential for delays....Thnks!

It's possible, but it leaves absolutely no time to spare in case of a delay.

Hi We are travelling from cancun to atlanta and then onto London Heathrow. Flight is with Delta to ATL and then Virgin to LHR. Arrving at ATL 17:18PM and then have a 2 hour layover until our flight to LHR. Is this enough time to get from one flight to the other? Will we have to claim our bags and then recheck them in? Thanks!

Yes, that is enough time. Yes, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, and go through security and to your departure gate.

  • Short transfer time from domestic to international flight

Have reservations with an arrival time in Atlanta 52 minutes before scheduled international departure. Same airline (Delta) and checking one bag through. True that there is a shuttle that avoids having to go through security again?

It's a train and yes, it runs inside security. All you have to do is take the Plane Train from your arrival concourse to your departure concourse. You have nough time.

HI there, I was due to have a 2hr30 connection (LHR - ATL- CHS) but Delta have schedule changed my domestic let (ATL - CHS) and now it's 1.30 exactly. IS this enough time to clear immigration & drop bags? Flight from Heathrow lands at 3.30pm - is this a busy time of the day? Any feedback welcome!

It is enough if everything goes perfectly. That is a busy part of the day.

Iam flying on delta from Fort Lauderdale to Atlanta then onto Manchester with virgin, what happens to my bags do have to recheck them or are they automatically transferred and I only have a stop over of 1 hour 22 min is this enough time

You don't have to do anything with your bags in Atlanta on the way to Manchester. All you have to do is take the Plane Train to concourse E or F where you depart and board your flight to Manchester. You have enough time.
