We will be arriving in Atlanta at 9:02 am on March 4 with a 9:30 am connecting flight to San Juan. Is the gate where we board to San Juan close so we don't miss our connecting flight

    What airlines are you flying?

Delta 1069- to Atlanta 559 to SanJuan

It will be difficult. Delta uses close to 100 different gates at ATL. They're all connected inside security, but they can be far apart. If your first flight is on-time you might barely have enough time.

I was afraid of that is there any way I could find out for sure?

You won't know your exact gates until the day of your flight. They could be in Concourse T, A, B, or C. However, also note that Delta has 3 more flights to San Juan that day that you can be rebooked on if you miss your connection, including one under two hours later at 11:25. Also note that DL 559 leaves at 9:40, not 9:30.

    Thank you

I am arriving from Miami on a Delta flight arriving at 7:50pm and have a BA flight from Atlanta to London leaving at 21:55. is this enough time to make the connection, and what is the distance between terminals?

Did you buy two separate tickets or your tickets together? Will you have checked baggage? I can't answer this question unless I know that.

We are arriving 11/6 -2015 from Amsterdam with KL6075 and we are landing at terminal I . We have 2 h to get plain KL5356 to Orlando from terminal S. Please give us information to get there as fast as possible

Note that both flights are operated by Delta. You will arrive in concourse E/F, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then go through security and take the Plane Train to your departure concourse. You should have enough time.

Thanks :-) Pleas can you also tell us if it's a gate for faster transfer With child , 8 years ?

No, you don't get to cut the line because you have a child with you.

arriving on delta and transfering to another delta flight is 45 mins enough time?

Yes, you just have to take the Plane Train from your arrival concourse to your departure concourse, but it leaves no time to spare in case your first flight is delayed.

According to the Airline Ticket ( We are arriving in at ATL with a 43 min layover to catch an international flight) Terminal S to Terminal I --- is that enough time.

You don't actually have to change terminals, you just have to take the plane train from your arrival concourse to concourse E/F where your International flight will depart. You have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

Hi. I bought a ticket from Mexico to Madrid with layover in Atlanta of 1 hour 49 minutes. Will this be enough time to catch the last plane? Thank you

Yes, that should barely be enough time. You will arrive in concourse E/F, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the transfer desk, and then go through security and to your departure gate, in the same concourses.

probably not. we had 90 minutes last night and it took more than 60, just to get through immigration. Then grab bags and through customs, 5 minutes, recheck bag, 2 minutes, then go through security again, about 300 people through a single security line. another 20 minutes, down to the train, 2 minutes, over to B terminal, 3 minutes, up to B, ran to gate 34...end of the building of course...arrive at landing + 90 minutes and gate was closed even with 'final boarding' still showing on sign. us, along with 20 others were closed out and had to stay in Atlanta overnigjt. Delta is evil.

Flying in from Montreal, Canada into Terminal I and I would then need to head over to Terminal S for a domestic US flight (both are Delta flights). There's a 1 hour 10 min layover. Is this enough time to get to the next terminal?

You don't actually have to change terminals. You just have to take the plane train from your arrival concourse to your departure concourse. All concourses are connected inside security by the plane train. You have plenty of time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Montreal.

I arrive from SD at gate can how long will it take to get to gate E12 tfor flight 837 to Honolulu?

I arrive from Louisville on delta flight 866 to concourse C, I have 42 minutes to catch flight 837 to Honolulu from E concourse. Do I have ample time?

That should barely be enough time. You just have to take the Plane Train from concourse C to Concourse E. However, it doesn't leave much time if your first flight is delayed.

  • Time to be together!

Myself, husband and 2 sons arrive in ATL from MSY. Three of us travel on to Costa Rica 2.5 hours later and eldest son goes to SEA, then YYJ 30 mins later. All flights booked with Delta. I presume all of us do not need to pass through security again, but is there somewhere we can all sit together until our international flight- when eldest son can then go to the Domestic terminal- or do we have to separate on arrival?

You don't have to go to the "domestic terminal" or "international terminal" . After you arrive you can all go to the departure gate for your flight to Costa Rica in concourse E or F via the Plane Train. Once you board your eldest son can take the Plane Train to his departure concourse. All gates at ATL are connected inside security by the plane train.

Thank you for being so helpful :)

  • Is layover time adequate

Flying from Cozumel on May 10th and arriving on Delta at 5:24 PM to make a connecting Delta flight at 7:15 PM. Is 1 hour 50 minutes enough time to go through customs and make the connecting flight?

Yes, that should be enough time. You will go through immigration, customs, and bag re-check all in concourse E/F, then security and you will then take the plane train directly to your departure concourse.
