Hi I am flying into atl from jnb and according to the flights i land at terminal f02, and need to go through customs, collect baggage and then go to terminal s for a flight to dfw, i cant find terminal s on a airort ma, wher and how do i go/procced ?

F is not a terminal, it is a concourse. You will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then go through security then take the Plane Train to your departure concourse. You don't actually have to go to "Terminal S". You won't know your departure gate/concourse until the day of your flight.

I am flying in from South Africa and have 1h40 to go through customs, pick up baggage and check baggage etc for connecting flight to dfw. Do I have enough time or must I take a later flight.

That should be enough time. There is a separate security checkpoint for connecting passengers from international flights, so that should save you some time.

  • 47 minutes to connect

Arriving at South Domestic(concourse not specified) on DL and leaving on DL to Puerto Vallarta out of T2 (DL says "International gate T2" - I assume that's in concourse T though not in the Intl Terminal?) Can we do that in 47 minutes? Head for the plane train?

You will arrive in concourse T, A, B, or C and depart from concourse E or F. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security. You have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

Currently booked on DL2066 out of Norfolk schduled to arrive 18:20hrs (Terminal S) with an onward connection to Manchester UK on VS110 departing 19:10hrs (Terminal I). Multiple ticket holder. Will I be able to transfer in 50mins?

If you purchased separate tickets and they do not tag your bags through to Manchester, then no, you have no chance of making this connection. You need to get an earlier flight to Atlanta, preferably one that arrives no later than 16:10.

How to get from gate e33 to t2 at atl

Yes, the plane train connects all concourses inside security. However if your arrival into E is international you'll have to go through customs and immigration first.

I land in ATL from LAX with a connecting flight to South Africa, with a 43 min lay over. Is that enough time to switch gates?

Yes, that should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. The plane train connects all concourses inside security.

Hi. I have two hours between my flight from london to o'hare. Is that enough time? Which terminals do virgin atlantic flights arrive and depart from? Please assist

Your Virgin Altantic flight will arrive in Concourse F, then you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then go through security and take the Plane Train to your departure concourse.

I am flying from Omaha to St. Lucia. Layover in Atlanta is only 45 minutes. Is that enough time to catch my next flight?

Yes, but it obviously doesn't leave much time to spare in case of a delay. All you have to do in Atlanta is take the Plane Train from your arrival concourse to concourse E or F where your flight to St. Lucia will depart.

I am flying in from Austin tomorrow on DL 686 and flying back out to MSP DL 2087. I have 37 minutes between them. Will I have enough time to make my connecting flight?

Yes, that is enough time if your first flight is on-time. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security.

  • Baggage Claims

I am flying in from RDU (DELTA) on Friday and I am wondering what the closest way to get to baggage claims. I have trouble (knees) with walking long distance. I did this same route on Delta as well last year and it seemed like it took forever to get to baggage claims. Any suggestions?

The only route to the baggage claim is via the Plane Train. Delta uses about 100 different gates at ATL so it can vary significantly the distance you will have to travel to baggage claim. If you have a lot of trouble walking you can call Delta and request wheelchair service.

Hey I am travelling from dallas to orlando and have a stopover in atlanta, is a 1h 5m stopover enough time to transfer from T1 to TS

Atlanta doesn't have a T1 or TS. All you have to do in Atlanta is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate via the Plane Train, which connects all concourses inside security.

Coming into Gate T have 35 min to get to gate B18. Enough time? and what is the quickest way to get there? Thanks

Yes, that is enough time if your first flight is on-time. The only way between those gates is the Plane Train, which runs inside security between all the concourses.

I'm flying into Atlanta from the UK (Manchester) & have 1hr 25 mins to catch a flight to Nashville. Will this give me enough time, providing the flight isn't delayed of course?

Yes, it is enough time but you will have to hurry. It is 5 minutes below the recommended connection time.

Hi I am flying in to atlanta airport on march 18th at 15.55 and on to Fort Lauderdale at 17.15 and returning on the 8th April at 14.45 to catch a flight to Amsterdam at 15.43 is the time ok for the conections

Assuming you depart from AMS to ATL, you would arrive at the International Terminal and depart from one of the domestic terminals, depending on which airline(s) you take. Your transfer time on arrival is extremely short. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/atl - click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS' & pay attention of 'International Arrivals, and transfer procedures, etc.

You will be pressed for time on your arrival (assuming you initial flight to Atlanta is from Amsterdam) as you will have to go through US Immigration, claim your luggage, go through US Customs, recheck your bags at the transfer desk, then go through security and take the plane train to your departure gate. On your way to Amsterdam you have enough time as you only have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate on the plane train.

Re returning via ATL: One thing that can help is US CBP's Mobile Passport Control program to get through customs faster. Here's the link: www.mobilepassport.us
