  • Connecting between Terminal N and Terminal I
    Dec 10, 2013
Tomorrow I'm taking DL975 from Portland (arrived Terminal N Gate E29 today) connecting to DL38 (departing Terminal I Gate A4 today). I'll have 55 minutes to connect, which is apparently allowed by Delta but seems tight to me. It would be great if my checked bag makes the connection, too! Any tips for making the connection? I recognize the gates tomorrow are unlikely to be the same as today, but figure the terminals will be the same?

That should have read DL38 will depart from Terminal I Gate F4 today...

You do not have to go between any two terminals. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. All gates at ATL are connected beyond security by the plane train and are reachable within 20 minutes of each other.

    Thanks for your advice.

  • 50 min?
    Dec 9, 2013
Is is possible to get from concourse T to F in 50 min? I have no bags to check but Im catching an international flight. Is this possible? Also, how much time does it take to get from T to F on the plane train? Thanks in advance!

If it helps, I'll be arriving at atl on flight dl 1183 (orf to atl) then connecting to dl 681 (atl to sdq).... since I only have a little time, I'm trying to figure out the best way to navigate the airport. Reading all the post below certainly helped :-), but since I do not actually know my gate yet, all I can do is make plans A, B and C... Thanks again!

You probably won't arrive at T - those are usually flights on bigger planes. You'll probably arrive at A or C. All gates at ATL can be reached within 20 minutes from each other. You should have enough time if your flight from Norfolk is on time.

Thank you SO much! This site and all of your answers have been super helpful in lessening my worries :-)

  • Flying from Amsterdam - ATL - El Paso

How it works this connection? At which Terminal will i arrive, I know have to go to terminal S..Thanks

Atlanta Airport has no Terminal 5 (most likely it is Terminal S - the South Terminal which is used only for ticketing & baggage check for Alaska & Delta airlines. You will arrive at the International Terminal, at either Concourses E or F, where you need to go through passport check, pick up bags, go through customs & re-check-in your bags where indicated. The Domestic Terminal have Concourses T, A, B, C & D with corresponding gates; After customs clearance take the Plane Train to your connecting Concourse. The overhead screens will indicate flight & gate number of your connecting flight.

Quiet, good food and plentiful outlets. Good coffee and pastries, sandwiches. Tucked behind two escalators and shard with "Simply Books" this place is the only place I go at ATL

  • Location of Delta arrivals/departures for domesticate flights?
    Nov 20, 2013
Hi. I'm flying from Kansas City to Miami, with a two hour layover at ATL. What terminal(s) in ATL will I be using for both arrival and departure? Is two hours enough time to get from the one to the other? If they are in different terminals, what is the quickest way to go? Thanks!

Delta operates flights from numerous concourses all of which are connected via the plane train inside security. 2 hours is more than enough time to make any domestic transfer on Delta in Atlanta.

  • Connecting from Santa Ana to Montreal

I have a 52min layover arriving on Delta from California and connecting to an international flight to Montreal also on Delta. What terminal do I arrive in and do I have enough time? Do I stay secure or have to go through security again? Thanks so much.

You will arrive in one of the several concourses (likely T, A, or E) and also depart from one of those concourses. All gates at ATL are connected beyond security. The Plane Train connects all concourses underground. You will not have to go through any security or immigration procedures in Atlanta.

  • Delta from Clt to Atl to Paris
    Nov 11, 2013
We are flying to Paris (from Charlotte) on Delta/Air France on Thursday. We arrive ATL at 7:47 and depart at 9:00. On our return flight, we have only an hour layover in Atlanta. Is this enough time on both ends?

On your way there that should be enough time. All you will have to do is take the plane train from your arrival concourse to concourse E/F for your departure. On the return I don't think that's enough time as you will have to go through US Immmigration, claim your bags, re-check them, and go through security before taking the plane-train to your departure concourse. Delta has numerous flights from Atlanta to Charlotte that you can be re-booked onto with a much more comfortable connection

The food is consistent Five Guys, but the staff makes it an adventure. They are both fun and helpful!

My wife is flying to London Heathrow from Houston TX via Atlanta on Delta airlines Flight no DL5110 connecting with flight DL84 could you tell us what terminal she will be arriving in at Atlanta and what terminal she will be leaving from and what is the distance and time between terminals

She will arrive at one of the concourses (it appears usually concourse E) and depart from an International concourse (E or F). If she has to change concourses she does so with the plane train, which runs inside security. All Delta gates at ATL can be reached from one another in less than 30 minutes.

The concourse she will arrive at you say E is that the same as the International E concourse

Yes, it is. Note that she may also arrive in C or D though. Delta connection has nearly a hundred gates at ATL.

  • Connection Flight

Our flight from Raleigh to Atlanta lands only 1 hour before we leave for Costa Rica on an International flight. I booked the flight through Orbitz for my wife and I and we are not checking any bags. Just carrying on. Being that the flight is on time, will we make our connecting flight?

On arrival at ATL take the underground 'Plane Train' which stops at the center of each Concourse. The International Terminal has Concourses E & F with corresponding gates - get off at either E or F (overhead screens will indicate flight & gate numbers). You have enough time.

Thanks! Will we need to go through security again being that it's an international flight?

No, there is no security inspection when going between concourses

We will be flying back from NAS through ATL and have only a 90 minute layover, will we have enough time to make our connection?

Yes, you will pre-clear US immigration in Nassau so you will only have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If they're not in the same concourse you'll use the plane train which connects all gates beyond security.
