  • Connection Flight

Our flight from Raleigh to Atlanta lands only 1 hour before we leave for Costa Rica on an International flight. I booked the flight through Orbitz for my wife and I and we are not checking any bags. Just carrying on. Being that the flight is on time, will we make our connecting flight?

On arrival at ATL take the underground 'Plane Train' which stops at the center of each Concourse. The International Terminal has Concourses E & F with corresponding gates - get off at either E or F (overhead screens will indicate flight & gate numbers). You have enough time.

Thanks! Will we need to go through security again being that it's an international flight?

No, there is no security inspection when going between concourses

We will be flying back from NAS through ATL and have only a 90 minute layover, will we have enough time to make our connection?

Yes, you will pre-clear US immigration in Nassau so you will only have to go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. If they're not in the same concourse you'll use the plane train which connects all gates beyond security.

I have 40 minutes to catch my International KLM / Delta flight to Amsterdam is this enough time

If your first flight is domestic and on-time you will have enough time. You just have to take the Plane Train from your arrival concourse to E/F.

  • transer time between gatee

I am flying from orlando to atlanta with delta then taking airfrance to paris. I only have 1 hour for the transfer. Is that enough time if i send my luggage all the way from orlando directly to paris

Yes, that should be enough time. You just have to take the Plane Train from your arrival concourse to concourse E/F where your Air France flight will depart.

  • Transfer from Las Vegas flight to London bound flight
    Sep 23, 2013
Hi Im arriving at Atlanta from Las Vegas on 1st October with a connection then back too London. I have one hour to get on the London bound plane in Atlanta, where would I arrive (both flights booked together with Delta at same time) and whats typical times to get to international departure gate. My checked luggage would be automatically transferred wont it?, help appreciated, Julian (UK resident)

Yes, on the way to London your bags will be automatically transferred. Your flight will depart from concourses E or F and could arrive at pretty much any of the concourses (although likely A or B)

coming in ondelta from little rocck connecting toBA flight to london whts the easiest way for elderly

Were all of your tickets bought on the same reservation? If they weren't and you have checked baggage you'll have to claim it, then you have to take a shuttle bus that connects you to the International terminal where you can check your bags with British Airways. If you don't have checked bags, or they are checked all the way through to London, you can just take the plane train from your arrival concourse to Terminal E/F where your British Airways flight will depart. Make sure to get your British Airways boarding pass as soon as you can, preferably before you leave Little Rock via their website.

  • no smoking in ATL terminal D as indicate
    Sep 2, 2013
Your app says there is smoking near D 16. However I was told I would need to go to terminal C or E. please update your app. I would have stayed where I started at B longer. I had a 2 hour layover due to a delay.

  • Connecting flights possible?
    Aug 30, 2013
I have a flight Monday Sept 2 from Fort Lauderdale to Atlanta on Delta concourse D and then a international connecting flight one hour later on Korean (concourse E) Airlines. Is that possible to make?

If your first flight is on-time, yes, it is possible. It should only take about 15 minutes to get between your gates on the plane train.

Would my luggage go all the way from Fort Lauderdale to my final destination in Cambodia with a plane change in Korea? Or do I have to get my luggage in Atlanta and route it to my final destination? Thank you for your help.

Were all your tickets bought on the same reservation? If so yes, you shouldn't have to touch your baggage until you get to Cambodia. You definitely won't have to claim your baggage in Atlanta if that's the case.

  • International connection
    Aug 26, 2013
I am arriving from Panama with Delta and connecting in Atlanta to Amsterdam. I only have 1 hour and 30 minutes. Is this enough time to make the connection? Thanks for your help

You will really have to hope your first flight is on-time and you will have to hurry. You will clear US immigration, claim your baggage, go through customs, re-check your baggage with Delta, and then go back through security all in that time.

Thanks for your reply. In case my first flight is on time....will the 1 hour and 30 minutes be enough to do all those processes you mention? Or should i consider change the ticket?

I would try what you have - it looks like the Panama City-Atlanta flight gets in around 1 PM and if that's the case then you're on the ATL-AMS flight that leaves a little after 3 PM? If so, then if you do miss your connection you can just be rebooked on one of the 3 later flights to Amsterdam.

  • connecting flight to orange co.
    Aug 13, 2013
I am landing in atl on the 31st..flight flight from atl. to orange county i757.can someone please tell me the gate or concourse I need ahead of time.I have 51 mins to catch the connecting flight .Everyone tells me I am gonna have to run to the plane.HELP.........

that's flight 1757 to orange county.....

If your first flight is on-time you won't have to run. You won't know the exact concourses and gates until the day of your flight (Delta uses most of the concourses). However, all concourses at ATL are connected underground via the plane train which runs inside the secure area. If you move quickly you can get between any two gates at ATL in less than 20 minutes.

  • Never flown internationally

Hi, I'll be flying Delta from MCO to ATL and then ATL to Frankfurt on Lufthansa. I have a two hour layover. Will this be enough time? Do I need to go through any security in ATL? I will NOT be checking any bags.

No you will not have to go through security. You just have to take the plane train from your arrival concourse do the departure concourse - E or F.

  • Connecting flight to London
    Aug 6, 2013
Hi there, perhaps you could provide some advice? I will be landing in ATL on a domestic flight from Las Vegas (using Delta), and then have 1 hour to connect for an international flight to London (using Air France). Is this enough time? Will I need to re-check my bags or go through security again? Many thanks in advance

both Delta & AirFrance belong to the Skyteam Alliance - your bags will automatically be tansferred. You arrive at ATL at Midfield Concourse A/B, divided into A & B gates at its center, at A gates and simply walk over to B gates.

    Great, thank you very much!

  • Nervous about Plane Train
    Aug 6, 2013
Hi, can someone ease my fears? Flying from DAL to ATL with 48 minutes to get to Concourse F and get onto flight to St. Lucia. Is the Plane Train the best way to get from one concourse to the other? I've read that it takes less than 20 minutes but if our flight is delayed at all, we will miss it. Will we have enough time to make our flight? It's the only one available each day :-( Stressed!

Is there any way to find out what gates we will be using (other than the day of?) I believe Delta flies into South Terminal, we'd have to get from there to Concourse F quickly. Is there a direct way to contact the Flight to let them know we are on the train on our way? I doubt they would wait but if we are 3 minutes out, they might :-)

You arrive at Terminal 1, (South & North terminals have no gate areas), Delta uses Concourses A - D with corresponding gates. On arrival, look at overhead screens to find your connecting flight & gate number for Concourse F (F gates), reached by the Plane Train only. You can make it in that time, unless your incoming plane is delayed.

    Thanks so much!

  • Connecting Flight
    Jul 29, 2013
I have a layover for 51 minutes in ATL, I was wondering if there was any way to figure out which terminal I would be arriving at and which I would need to get to in order to board my new flight. I am coming from Port Columbus International Airport on Delta 1276 and need to get on my connecting plane in ATL Delta 4884. If anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Your flight from Columbus will probably arrive in concourse A or B and your flight to Myrtle Beach will probably depart from concourse C or D. All the concourses are connected by the Plane Train, which runs underground between the concourses. You can get between any two gates at ATL in less than half an hour.

  • Connection from Las Vegas to Paris
    Jul 29, 2013
We shall be returning from Las Vegas on Delta flight 1702 landing in Atlanta at 16.50. We need to get connecting Air France flight 681 to Paris. Can anyone explain procedure/terminals etc. Many thanks

You will arrive in one of the Delta concourses, likely T, A, B, C, or E and will depart from E or F. If you have to transfer between concourses the plane train runs beneath the concourses and connects them all within half an hour. You will not have to go through any immigration or security in Atlanta.
