OK I am flying from Tri City to Atlanta to catch a connecting flight to manchester...The time between landing in Atlanta and the time my flight to Manchester leaves is 48 minutes, now i have been told by the agent that this is a legal flight and people have done this flight before....Question, in the event that everything is ok from Tri City and I still miss the flight will Virgin rebook me on another flight?? Thanks

Yes, if you miss your connection you will be rebooked on a later flight to Manchester, likely through Amsterdam or Paris. All you have to do in Atlanta is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security.

I wont have to pay for more tickets. ?

    No, you will not.

    Thanks for your help

  • Miami Montreal with connection in Atlanta with DELTA
    Aug 11, 2016
Hi there, my mom has a flight from Miami to Montreal next Monday, I'm a little bit worry about the time she has for the connection in Atlanta, is just one hour, all the flight is with Delta, I would like to know if Delta works like others airlines, I mean they know my mom is checked from Miami, will they wait her if she has some delay in the transit to the gate? She has not experience in airports, Could she ask some kind of assistance to the ground personal? my fear is she could lost the connection. Thank you very much for your help.

They will not wait for her, but she has enough time. All she has to do is go from her arrival gate to her departure gate. The Atlanta airport is very large but the layout is very simple, every concourse is connected at the middle by the Plane Train, which runs underground.

Thanks for your response, I have another question, I see in my moms ticket thet she will arrive to Terminal S and she has to connect in Terminal I, I suppose the I terminal is the international one, but in the map of the airport i dont see any S terminal could you clarify this to me, is to explain her

Ignore it. She doesn't have to change terminals - she just has to go from her arrival concourse to her departure concourse.

Arriving on Delta 3699 @ 08:54 and departing on Delta @ 9:35. would I have enought time?

Yes, that is just enough time if everything goes smoothly. You just have to take the Plane Train from your arrival concourse to concourse E or F where you depart.

    Truly appreciate your feedback!

  • DL to AA in 55 minutes?
    Aug 10, 2016
Arriving on DL at 2:35pm and connecting on AA at 3:25. Carry on only; can I make it or am I crazy?

It's possible with carry-ons only. It obviously depends on the Delta flight being on-time, but if you check in for your AA flight online all you have to do is take the plane train from your arrival concourse to concourse T or D where you will depart on AA.

    thank you!

Just found out inbound to ATL is delayed from EWR. Leaving 8am instead of 7am; ETA 10:15am. Outbound to ELH leaves at 11am. enough time?

that is enough time if the flight from Newark arrives at the stated time. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security.

Thanks. So far, arr info is only Domestic South...too early for gate info. Fingers and toes crossed...

  • enough time

I originate in Melbourne FL airport and arrive in Atlanta airport and continue on to Manchester England. Is there enough time if there is 1.5 hrs in Atlanta. do I clear customes in Melbourne or Atlanta?

There is no US Customs when exiting the US. All you have to do in Atlanta is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate in Concourse E or F on the Plane Train

  • Do I have enough time.
    Aug 9, 2016
I am coming in from Fort Walton to the south terminal, not sure of gate but leaving from International terminal and have 1 1/2 hours. Is there enough time?

All you have to do is take the Plane Train from your arrival concourse to concourse E or F where you depart. You have enough time.

  • Time to make connection
    Aug 8, 2016
Plane arrives from Dublin @ gate E17 @ 6:27PM. Connection departs gate D30 at 7:56pm. Pre-check and Global entry all involved. Is there enough time to go through customs and make the connection?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. All you have to do in Atlanta is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate on the airtrain. You have enough time.

Sorry, I mean Plane Train, not Airtrain.

  • delta to frontier
    Aug 8, 2016
Flying in from Cancun mexico arriving at 10:30 need to get on a flight to RDU on frontier airlines leaving at 11:40. Is this an impossible connection to make? The tickets were booked separately to save money but wondering if that is not enough time ti get from Delta to Frontier terminal

Yes, that is completely impossible, especially if you have checked bags.

  • Transfer to Southwest
    Aug 7, 2016
Arriving from Costa Rica on Delta and have one hour to get on a Southwest flight. I have Global Entry and will be carrying on -- no checked bags. Is this possible?

If you check in for your Southwest flight online before leaving Costa Rica and your Delta flight is on-time, since you have Global Entry and no checked bags, it's possible. But everything has to go perfectly.

  • T6 to D9 Connection
    Aug 5, 2016
Hi all, am flying into ATL and due to a delayed flight will arrive at 1:45 pm today into south terminal gate T6. My flight departs from gate D9 at 2:12 pm. Will I make my flight?

It's possible if you are able to get off the plane quickly.

  • Dublin-> ATL->DFW
    Aug 4, 2016
I fly out of of Dublin tomorrow morning and was just notified by Delta that they bumped up my connecting flight leaving Atlanta. I now have a layover of an hour and seven minutes. After reading several other forums abut pre-clearance and customs, I'm worried that I will have to clear security and customs again with my bags (I have one checked) and then run to my gate to catch the connecting flight. I was originally under the impression based on Dublin Airport's website that my bags would be checked through to DFW and I wouldn't have to go through customs again. Assuming I will have to get my bags again, is an hour enough time to de-board, go through customs, drop my bag off again and still reach my new gate. Is any of this correct? I really can't

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. All you have to do in Atlanta is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security. You have enough time.

Actually, you will clear immigration in Houston and depart from gate H9, ultimately missing your flight and being stranded in Atlanta

Can I get from gate T3 to gate H9 in 30 minutes?

Atlanta does not have a gate H9

  • Enough time?
    Aug 3, 2016
Hi. Tuesday, Ausgust 16, I fly from Baltimore to Bloomington, IL. Depart BWI @ 1:45 with arrival in Atlanta at 3:33. (40 minute layover) before departing at 4:13 for BMI. Is that enough time? On the way home we leave Bloomington at 5:48 and land in Atlanta at 8:30PM before departing for Baltimore at 9:30PM. The flights to and from Bloomington are regional jets. Will I be able to make both of these connections?

It's enough time if everything goes perfectly. Obviously leaves no time to spare if the flight from BWI is delayed. The return connection is a bit more comfortable.

actually you will miss you flight and you will have to rebook with continental air. cancel this and fly America west
