coming in from ORD thru ATL domestic- needing to catch a flight to UVF from international terminal gate A04 in 1 hr - will that be possible if all on time? What is quickest route/

You will know your exact gates day of departure. All gates at ATL are connected beyond security with the Plane Train that runs underground between all the concourses. You don't have to go from a "domestic terminal" to "international terminal".

how long to get from domestic terminal south to terminal 2?

Atlanta does not have a "Terminal 2". It has a gate T2, that is directly connected to the Domestic terminal.

I have 45 mins to catch my connection from Terminal T! having landed at Terminal S. what is quickest route please?

You don't arrive at Terminal S or the International Terminal. You arrive at one of the concourses, T or A-F. The Plane train connects all concourses and is the best way to get between them. You can get between any two gates in ATL in less than 25 minutes.

have a flt from HPN to ATL DL5030 arrives 12:37pm. Need to transfer to ATL to NRT DL295 departs 13:45pm How is this to be done so we do not miss the connecting flight?

All you have to do is go from the concourse you arrive in to Concourse E/F via the Plane Train, which runs underground beneath the concourses. It should not take more than 15-20 minutes to get between the gates.

To be more specific, you will depart from concourse F and likely arrive in D or E.

Hi, I'm arriving in Atlanta with a layover time of 1:15. I need to connect from gate B2 to gate E16 in this time. How long should this take and what is the fastest way? Thanks.

Take the Plane Train - should take 15-20 minutes.

I'm thinking about buying a ticket where I'd be connecting in Atlanta, coming from St. Louis on Delta and then flying KLM to Amsterdam with a one hour layover. Is one hour a long enough layover to get to the international terminal? Thanks very much.

Yes, that should be long enough if your first flight is on-time. However, if there's another STL-ATL flight a little earlier, I'd pick that one instead.

Hi, I'm arriving in ATL and continuing on to CRW. My connection time is 1:08. I think my flight arriving in ATL will be in concourse A, my connection in concourse D. Will I have enough time to make my connection, with Plane Train beig downstairs, etc. I haven't been thru ATL in about 6 months, so I'm a little rusty. Please advise.

Yes, you can use the plane train to get between any two gates in under a half hour.

I am connecting from 1 southwest flight to another southwest flight and have an hour. Will that be enought if i walk instead of taking the plane train. We land at 10:35 and depart at 11:35.

All Southwest flights not operated by Airtran are on the same concourse, C, so you wouldn't have to take the plane train anyway.

My daughter is arriving from Chicago (18h30) heading to Johannesburg (19h30). how does she get to Gate E18 inless than 15 minutes?

Well, from the times you posted, she has 60 minutes, not 15. She can take the PlaneTrain from the concourse she will arrive in (likely A, B or C, but possibly T or D) to concourse E. It can be done in less than 20 minutes.

My daughter and her friend are flying solo for the first time tomorrow. Their flight arrives at ATL gate C7 and connects at D11. What's the simplest way to advise them to travel between gates that can be done in the 45 minute window they have between flights? Thank you, A worried mom

They just take the Plane Train 1 stop from C to D. It's very simple and can be done in that time. Their gates may change before tomorrow, so they should be prepared for that, but the process is still the same, take the plane train between concourses.

My fear is that they will find that confusing or miss their stop. Would it be possible for them to just walk between concourses?

There's a walkway through the same tunnel that the train goes through. However, I think you really underestimate your daughter. It's a very simple system.

  • Terminal S to International Terminal

My flight from West Palm Beach, FL gets into Terminal S at 4:50 pm and I leave for Madird from the international terminal at 5:50 - how do I get to the international terminal? how long should it take? will I have to go through customs etc. again?

You will not arrive in "Terminal S" you will arrive in one of several domestic concourses. You will then just take the plane train from your arrival concourse to Concourse F for your international flight. There will be no customs or security in the international terminal. You'll go through immigration in Madrid.

Coming to Delta for a flight to PBI West Palm Beach, do I have the person bringing me drop me off at Domestic or direct to Internationnqshgal terminal?

Does the "planetrain" go all the way from T to Concourse F?

Yes, the plane train goes to every concourse, T to F. Since PBI is domestic, get dropped off at the Domestic terminal.

  • Intl conx time at ATL F to domestic

I am returning from Jamaica to Houston with a connection at Atlanta where we will clear US Customs. We only have an hour and 15 minutes due to a schedule change. Is this enough time to get through and make a connection? All on Delta. But there is a much later connection but 4 hour conx if we change to this.

Honestly, it's probably not enough time. I'd request the later flight (which you can get changed to for free due to the schedule change). However, if you stick with your original connection, you can try to make it, then get put on that later flight if you miss it. The risk being if the later flight is full you'll get stuck in Atlanta.

I took your advice & changed to the later conx. Thanks for the help! Better safe than sorry.

  • CLEAR CUSTOMS, CLAIM BAGGAGE, ETC.

HI YOU ALL, I`M FLYING SUNDAY MAY 19 FROM PANAMA, ARRIVING AT THE INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL, I SUPPOSE, AND CONNECTING TO MONTREAL. I HAVE 1:21 BETWEEN ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TO GO THRU CUSTOMS, CLAIM BAGGAGE, HAND IT OVER FOR CONNECTION. NOT SURE IF I HAVE TO PASS SECURITY CHECK TO TAKE THE OTHER FLIGHT AND IF I WILL HAVE TIME ENOUGH. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

ADDITIONAL INFO: FLYING DELTA ON BOTH LEGS. ARRIVAL TIME IS 1:24 P.M.

Your transfer time at ATL will suffice. After debarkation, passengers walk the corridor towards the escalators taking them to the Arrivals level, where they go through customs & Immigration, then proceed to the baggage claim area which has 7 carousels. (a) Connecting passengers recheck-in their bags by proceeding to the transit area past baggage claim and turning left to baggage recheck counters, then follow signs to Concourse F Plane Train station, which connects all concourses (with gates E, D, C, B, A & T).

Enough time to get from gate A6 to gate E29 plane scheduled arr atl 9:00 at gate A6 next leaves fron E29 at 9:45 if all on time. Enough time or should I resched?

If your first flight is on-time and you hurry it should barely be enough time. You take the plane train almost its entire length. I wouldn't re-book as long as there are later flights to your destination that day out of ATL.
