Fargo Hector FAR Airport Overview

Fargo Hector International Airport FAR serves the city of Fargo, North Dakota, and its surrounding areas.

The Airport is located within city limits and has direct access via Interstate 29/81 (exit 67).  It is recommended that you arrive 75 minutes before your scheduled departure for a domestic flight, and 2 hours before an international flight. However, Allegiant Air recommends arriving at the airport at least two hours prior to scheduled departure.

With an estimated 728,799 passengers in 2012,  the Airport is served by  major airlines offering direct flights to a number of U.S. hubs, with connections worldwide.  NOTE:  Low-fare airline Frontier offers 3 weekly flights to/fro Denver on Airbus A319.

The passenger terminal at Hector International Airport opens at 4am and closes 30 minutes after the last flight arrival.  Note that passengers need to be checked in under 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure, as ticket counters close at that time.   Departure gates include five remote gates and three close departure gates.
The Terminal has undergone major construction in the past years, and concessions were recently renovated.
The Airport Information Center (tel. 701-241-8168) can page a passenger if the Center is staffed.

Amenities and services inside the terminal include a gift shop, restaurant and lounge. A game room is on the main level. Coffee & snack counter is next to gate 3 in the departure lounge, and there is a Subway fast-food available. Small work stations are available throughout the terminal with free internet access & 120V power connections. Lost & Found is next to the gift shop.  For US Customs service call 701-241-8124.

Rental car counters from major rental car agencies are located in the Arrivals area of the passenger terminal.

To get from Hector International Airport to your destination you have the option of renting a car, or taking a taxi, a bus or train:
