- HHH Airport Overview
Hilton Head Island HHH is located on the Island of Hilton Head and at the southern end of the triangle comprising South Carolina. I-95 (Exit 8) is the closest Interstate Highway on the mainland. HHH's passenger terminal and ticket counters open at 4:30 am and close with the last flight in. Two Airlines serve the Airport: U.S. Airways Express (to Charlotte) and Delta Connection (to Atlanta) with many daily departures, offering connections throughout the country and the world.
HHH Airport offers amenities of a big city airport without the hassles--no traffic jams when looking for a parking space, no mile-long hike from a parking garage to the terminal, and no long lines at the ticket counter. Centrally located at mid-island and just 15 minutes from everything the Island has to offer--Harbour Town, the ocean, golf, tennix, fine dining and excellent shopping--HHH Airport is a great choice.
Transportation from the Airport: The hotels/villas in Hilton Head Island do not provide shuttle service. Most arriving passengers have pre-arranged rental cars or take a taxi upon arrival. All rental cars, of the five on-site companies, are within 200 feet of the terminal building. Taxi cabs line up at the taxi stand to the right of the terminal exit door for each scheduled airline arrival.
To get to the Airport: From the mainland or north end of the island, take 278E (William Hilton Parkway - Business) to Beach City Road. Turn left. The airport entrance is 1 mile down Beach City Road on the right.
From the south end of the island, take 278W (William Hilton Parkway) to Mathews Drive. Turn right. Follow Mathews Drive until it dead-ends into Beach City Road at a stop sign. Turn right onto Beach City Road. The airport entrance is 1/2 mile down on the right.
