Guest Services at Honolulu HNL Airport

Other services offered at Honolulu Airport:
General Information is located in the lower-level, baggage claim area of the terminal. Maps, regional information, bus schedules, and brochures are available, as well as a courtesy paging phone.
Volunteer Hospitality Ambassadors are on duty during busy times to provide assistance.

Visitor Information Program (VIP) - Tel: 808-836-6413; Fax: 808-836-6689.
The VIP staff, located at booths throughout HNL, are available to provide travelers with assistance and visitor information.

There are 15 Visitor Information Booths, located at various areas of the airport:
- Outside international arrivals exit
- At Baggage Claims B,C,D,E,F,G,H
(There are two booths at Baggage Claims G, H)
- One portable VIP booth at Baggage Claim E
- Second level, 'Y' concourse between Gates 14, 23
- Second level, Diamond Head end of main lobby
- Second level at the Ewa end of the main lobby
- Second level, Interisland Terminal lobby.

Charging Stations:  (many of them occupy the former telephone stands):
(a) at the Main Terminal, at:
- Central Concourse, near Gates 14 and 23
- Diamond Head Concourse, Near Gates 10 and 11
- Ewa Concourse, near Gates 26, 30, 31 and 32
- Main Lobby, near Gates 12 and 24,, and across from Food Court
(b) at the Interisland Terminal, at:
- North and South ends of Terminal
- Terminal's Center

Cultural Entertainment at HNL Airport:
Cultural Gardens, Art in the Airort, Statehood Mosaic Mural, PATA Gallery of legends, Historic Display, John Rodgers PN-9 aircraft.

Gas station is located on-Airport grounds.

International Travelers at Honolulu HNL Airport

All international arrivals - with the exception of those who went through U.S. Customs clearance at participating airports - need to go through passport control, pick up their bags and go with them through Customs clearance .  If they continue their journey  they need to re-check-in their bags where indicated, before proceeding to to their connecting flight's gate.

NOTE: Prior to departure make sure that your original airline will transfer bags to your connecting flight - if not, you need, after customs clearance, take them to your connecting terminal and  check them in at your connecting airline counter before proceeding to your gate.

Lost & Found at Honolulu HNL Airport

If you lost an item on your airplane, contact your airline's lost & found department.

The Lost & Found office at HNL Airport is opposite of the Main Overseas Terminal, on the ground level of Parking Lot D ( the Overseas Parking Garage); open weekdays 7:45am-4:30pm.

If you lost an item at TSA Security Checkpoint, call (808) 831-2312
If you lost an item at the terminal, please contact Lost and Found at (808) 836-6683 weekdays, between 7:45am-4:30pm

Mail Center / U.S. Post Office at Honolulu HNL Airport

1. The US Postal Service is adjacent to the Airport, directly across the Commuter Terminal (tel. 800-275-8777.
2. Postal drop boxes at at Main Terminal near gate 13, and past security checkpoint 2; at Intr-Island terminal near security checkpoint.
3. The Busines Center located at Overseas Terminal's Center Lobby, provides mailing services.
4. A FedEx drop box is in front of the Post Office

Postal drop boxes are located in the main terminal near gate 13, and just past security checkpoint 2; & at Interisland terminal near the security checkpoint.

Pets / Animals at Honolulu HNL Airport

The State of Hawaii Department of Agriculture requires passengers arriving with animals to declare them on the Agricultural Declaration Form distributed inflight to Hawaii. The Department of Agriculture also requires dogs and cats be quarantined, and special permits to be obtained for other pets.

Note that airline policies regarding pets vary widely and it is highly recommended that you contact the airline prior to making a reservation. 

A Pet relief area is outside the Arrivals area of the Overseas Terminal.

Smoking at Honolulu HNL Airport

Smoking at HNL Airport is permitted at the following terminals & their areas:

Overseas Terminal at:
Ground Level - International Arrivals Building (IAB) median between the IAB and Inter-Island Terminal.
Ground Level - Diamond Head Group Tour Area - Uncovered area.
Ground Level - Ewa Concourse public accessible sidewalk but not within 20 feet of entry ways.
Level 2 - roadway median fronting Ticket Lobbies.
Parking Garage, level 5 - but not within 20 feet of entryways and elevator/stairwell landings.
Uncovered parking lots.
Interisland Terminal, at:
Ground Level - Makai Group Tour Area between the Interisland Terminal and the International Arrivals Building in the Overseas Terminal and away from curbside pedestrian traffic.
Parking Garage 7th Floor - but not within 20 feet of entryways and elevator/stairwell landings. 
Commuter Terminal, at:
Roadway median fronting the Commuter Terminal.
Public parking lot.
