Horta HOR Airport Overview

Horta Airport HOR is vital to the economy of Portugal's Faial Island, and connects to smaller aerodromes in the outlying islands, as well as to Lisbon Airport on the mainland.

The Airport is located in the parish of Castelo Branco, 9.5 km from city center of Horta, on Faial Island, which is part of Portugal’s Autonomous Region of the Azores, an archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean. The Airport 

With an estimated 190,000 passengers in 2012, Horta Airport is served by SATA Air Acores, SATA Internactional, and TAP Portugal, offering flights to Corvo, Flores, Lages, Lisbon & Ponta Delgada.

NOTE:Check in for fights within the Schengen Zone 90 minutes before schedule; for non-Schengen Zone 2 hours; for all othr inter-continental flights 3 hours.
 
The passenger terminal at Horta Airport offers the following amenities: A travel shop ‘Just’ in pre-security, open 7am-7pm; the ‘Peter’ coffee shop and snack bar is in both the pre-security and post-security areas, open 7am-7pm.; a CTT Post Office; and an ATM cash machine are in pre-security. Rental car desks are in the Arrivals area.
 
Parking at Horta Airport is available in Parking Lot P1 across from the passenger terminal.
 
To get from the Airport to your destination you can rent a car or take a taxi.  The taxi stand is outside of the Arrivals area of the passenger terminal. You can also call 24/7 at +351 292 391 300.
