• LEX Airport Overview
  Bluegrass Airport (LEX), close to the City of Lexington, Kentucky (famous for the Kentucky Derby), has one of the most beautiful airport approaches in the country. LEX serves over one million passengers each year and occupies approximately 1,000 acres. The airport offers commercial flights to destinations worldwide and also provides a variety of corporate and general aviation services including U.S. Customs cargo inspection, flight instruction, charter aircraft, airplane maintenance, aircraft storage and more. Airlines serving LEX Airport are American, Continental, Delta, Northwest, United and US Exress. Blue Grass Airport has prepared an Airport Master Plan to provide a comprehensive overview of the airport's anticipated needs for the next 20 years. This plan includes recommended improvements to the airfield, terminal, public parking, general aviation and other support facilities. It provides a detailed forecast of future levels of aviation activity, the airport's ability to provide necessary capacity to accommodate the anticipated levels of aviation activity and preliminary capacity enhancing alternatives for long-term development.

  The Club at Blue Grass - Location: Concourse B, Third level. Hours: Monday-Friday, 5 am-9 pm; Saturday & Sunday, 10 am-6 pm. Relax in our executive lounge while waiting for your flight to leave. The lounge is comfortably appointed and includes complimentary snacks and beverages, personalized assistance from airport staff, flat-screen televisions, quiet computer workstations, photocopier, fax machine, telephones, state-of-the-art meeting and conference areas and the best view at the LEX airport!
  
  Free access is provided to any member of the following airline clubs: American Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Northwest Airlines, United and US Airways. Passengers who are not members of an airline club may use the lounge for a $5 daily fee. Booklets of passes may also be purchased by calling 859.425.3100. MEETING FACILITIES -Location: Second and third level (The Club at Blue Grass). Take care of business right at the airport. Host a business gathering in one of our private meeting facilities or press room, inside or outside of security checkpoint. Comfortable facilities and reasonable rates make the airport a logical alternative to time consuming travel between the airport and your office. Facilities include state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment such as video conferencing, teleconferencing, TV/VCR/DVD, presentation boards and an image capturing system.

Greet visitors upon arrival by meeting them at the airport's Welcome Center. Perfect for local corporations and area organizations, the Welcome Center provides an opportunity to meet groups in a designated area by the baggage claim. Respond to e-mails, surf the internet, check the status of your flight or view the weather from any location in the airport.   First Aid Location: First level An officer of the Department of Public Safety is on duty 24 hours a day to provide first aid services. For assistance at the First Aid office or in any part of the terminal, simply pick up one of our convenient house phones.

  Blue Grass Airport works hard to make the travel experience easy and safe for all of its passengers. The airport is fully accessible to individuals with disabilities and staff is on hand to assist you in any way possible. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your experience at Blue Grass Airport more comfortable.
  
  Airlines: When booking your flight with an airline, be sure to let the airline know of any special needs or assistance you may require. Airport skycaps are on hand to provide wheelchair assistance if needed.
  
  Car Rentals: Most car rental agencies offer vehicles with hand controls if given 72 hours notice prior to arrival. Contact your rental agency for reservations and additional information.
  
  Elevators: Elevators are conveniently located on each side of the airport terminal by the security checkpoint and baggage claim. In addition, elevators are located in the parking garage. All elevators have Braille and raised numerals.
  
  Parking: Convenient parking spaces are reserved in all parking lots and the garage for those with disabilities. Vehicles displaying handicapped parking placards or license plates will be charged $8 per day regardless of lot location.
  
  Restrooms: All airport restrooms have an extra-wide stall with side railings and are accessible to individuals with wheelchairs or walkers. A family/unisex restroom is also available.
  
  Security Checkpoint: Individuals requesting access through the security checkpoint must have a boarding pass. If you need assistance to your gate, a friend or relative may request a pass from your airline. Passengers with disabilities should advise Transportation Security Administration (TSA) staff of any special needs prior to screening.
  
  Service Animals: Service animals are welcome throughout the airport while assisting their owners.
  
  TDD Phone: A public TDD phone is available for the hearing-impaired on the first level of the terminal.
  
  Wheelchairs: Skycaps are available to provide wheelchairs and additional assistance to and from your airline gate. If you encounter problems locating a skycap, please visit the Information Center or ask at your airline ticket desk.
  
  

• Smoking at Blue Grass LEX Airport
  Smoking Lounges - Location: First level and third level.
  Blue Grass Airport is required by state law to be a smoke-free facility. Ventilated smoking lounges are located on the first level of the terminal by the airline ticket counters, on the first level of the terminal beyond security checkpoint and in the Club at Blue Grass on the third level.

• Travelers Assistance at Blue Grass LEX Airport
  U.S. Customs The U.S. Customs office is located outside of the terminal in the air freight facility (accessible via Airport Road) and is open Monday-Friday, 8 am-12 pm & 1-5 pm. Customs service is available by appointment after 5 pm or on weekends. For questions on customs' regulations and to make after-hour arrangements, call 859.425.3111. • Guest Services at Blue Grass LEX Airport
  INFORMATION CENTER: Location: First level—lobby. Hours: Daily, 6 am-10:30 pm. Get the answers you need at the airport Information Center, conveniently located in the lobby of the terminal. Let us make your travel experience easy by providing general airport and flight information, paging services, travel assistance, notary services, postage stamps and fax and copy services. In addition, printed materials such as flight guides, airport newsletters, foreign language guides and wireless internet brochures are also available. The Information Center can be reached by calling 859.425.3114.
  
  CHILDREN'S PLAY AREA: Location: First level — lobby, second level — airline gates. Let the kids have some fun at one of the airport's play areas. It's a great chance for you to rest while waiting for your flight and the perfect chance for kids' imaginations to soar.
