Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport CDG--also known as "Paris Roissy" is not only the largest airport in France, but also busiest airport in Europe, only second to London Heathrow. It is located 14 miles NE of Paris and served by roads and rail to the "City of Light", Paris.
RER rapid TGV train service reach central Paris in about 45 minutes, Disney World in ten minutes and Lille and Brussels in an hour. Regular RATP buses, taxis and limousines also operate from Paris CDG Airport, and road access from Paris is on the A1 via Porte de la Chapelle.
CDG Airport has three modern terminals offering quality facilities and services--among them great restaurants, bars and shops, bank and currency services, business services, first aid, visitor and special needs amenities, to name a few.
The three terminals at de Gaulle Airport are connected by free shuttle buses and handle over 200,000 passengers daily. Terminal 2 currently has five concourses and undergoes an expansion to an eventual capacity of 50 million people by 2010.

Terminal 2 has two lounges with wireless Internet access and well-suited for travelers wishing to conduct business during their travels.
Meeting Rooms and facilities:
The Business Center in Terminal 1 offers eight meeting rooms, which can accommodate up to 15 people. Fax and copy machines are available at offices and lounge in Terminal 1.

Upon arriving in France, you are allowed to carry unlimited amounts of currency; however, declare to French Customs any currency, negotiable instruments or securities exceeding the value of €7,622.45.
Duty free purchases during your stay in France: You can reclaim Value Added Tax (TVA) from your purchases of either: you live outside of the European Union, or you are over the age of 15.

Leaving CDG Airport by Car
(a) To Paris, Porte de la Chapelle
- Take the A1 highway - takes 20-30 minutes.
(b) To Paris, Porte de Bagnolet
- Take the A3 highway to exit sign "Paris-Est", merging into A1 - takes 20-30 minutes.
CONNECTING TO ORLY AIRPORT - Check your receipt if your luggage was checked through to your final destination; otherwise follow the "Exit Baggage Reclaim" sign to retrieve them.
1. Landing at Paris-CDG Airport and connecting flight at Paris-Orly Sud:
(a) Arriving at CDG1: follow the “Exit-Baggage reclaim” signs. 2 Choices:
--After passing through the police and customs controls, make your way to exit 34 on the Arrivals level to catch the Air France coach for Paris-Orly Sud. This line serves Paris-Orly Sud 6:30am-10:30pm weekdays, and 7am-10:30pm weekends, at 30 minute intervals. Fare: €18.00 (subject to change).
--After passing through the police and customs controls, take the CDGVAL to the RER station. Look for RER line B to “Saint Rémy les Chevreuse”. Get off the train at “Antony” station. Then, ORLYVAL will take you to Paris-Orly Sud Airport. This line operates every day 6am-11pm, every 5 to 8 minutes, and usually takes one hour. Fare: €17.20 (subject to change).
(b) Arriving at at Paris-CDG2 A through G: follow the “Exit-Baggage reclaim” signs.
Arriving at Terminal 2G--make your way to terminal 2C or 2D by catching the free N3 shuttle (every 5-7 mins, 5:30am-11pm). 2 choices:
--Make your way to exit B1 for halls A and C, exit C2 for halls B and D, exit 3 Galerie level for halls E and F, to take the Air France coach for Paris-Orly Sud. This line serves Paris-Orly Sud 6:30am-10:30pm weekdays and 7am-10:30pm weekends, every 30 minutes. Fare : €18 ( subject to change.)
--Go to “Aéroport Charles de Gaulle-TGV” railway station. Look for RER line B to “Saint Rémy les Chevreuse”. Get off the train at “Antony” station. De Gaulle Airport has three Terminals, Terminal 1, 2: concourses A - F and Terminal 3. The new Terminal 2G is for small airplanes only (under 100 seats), who can taxi right to the terminal.
Terminals 2E, 2F and 2G are within the Schengen Zone.

ASSISTANCE TO PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES at DeGaulle Airport: CDG Airport is completely ADA-compliant.
CDG provides assistance for disabled and reduced mobility passengers. Upon landing and getting off the airplane, you are greeted by a CDG representative and assist you on request with your transportation. However, you need to notify the airport at least 48 hours before arrival. In order to best serve you, it is also essential to inform your airline or travel agent of your needs when reserving your flight.
To guarantee the best quality of service and reduce waiting as much as possible, it is essential to inform your airline or travel agent--at least 48 hrs. prior to arrival-- of your needs.

Dogs are not allowed at CDG Airport, unless they are in a secure kennel. Check with your airport as to their regulations. Check with your vet as to needed shots and documentation, as well as with the embassy of your destination country for all requirements.

SECURITY REGULATIONS:
Forbidden objects on aircraft:
- anywhere on the aircraft, including the hold: explosives, flammable liquids, corrosive or toxic products, etc.
- in the cabin: firearms, knives, sharp or blunt instruments, disabling or incapacitating sprays, chemicals, hazardous biological substances, etc.

Liquids, gels, pastes and aerosols on aircraft:
New security measures laid down by the European Commission came into force on 6 November 2006 at all European airports.
The contents of bottles, tubes, jars, etc. must not exceed 100 ml (3.4 oz) and must be carried in one resealable transparent plastic bag with a capacity of no more than 1 litre (1 quart) and measuring approximately 20cm x 20 cm (8in x 8in).
Food for babies and young children, as well as medicine in sufficient quantity for the trip is permitted. Passengers may be asked to prove the authenticity of these products by tasting a small quantity or presenting medical evidence such as a doctor's prescription, a druggist's certificate, etc.
Security screening of passengers and their carry-on baggage:
To facilitate screening at security checkpoints, passengers must take off their coats or jackets, remove all items from their pockets and place them in the trays provided, before proceeding through the checkpoints.
Laptops and other large electrical appliances may be carried into the aircraft cabin, but must be removed from their protective covering and presented separately for x-ray screening.
Passengers should present the following items to security staff separately:
- the 1-litre plastic bag
- sealed bags containing duty-free liquids, gels, etc. purchased in duty free shops
- medicine and baby foods
Security staff carry out their duties in accordance with regulations laid down by the government. To facilitate security screening, please follow their instructions carefully and give them your full cooperation.
All liquid products purchased in Aéroports de Paris' duty free shops are allowed on board your aircraft
Passengers wishing to carry on board any liquids, pastes, gels, creams or aerosols in quantities exceeding 100 mls (3.4 oz) must buy them in the airport duty free shops. In certain cases sales staff will place these products in a tamper-evident transparent plastic bag with a receipt showing the date of purchase.
Passengers who will be traveling to an airport in the European Union, Switzerland, Iceland or Norway can take their tamper-evident plastic bag into the cabin with them on the next flight.
Passengers who will be traveling to an airport to a country other than the ones stated above should consult their airline for further information.
