• ICT Airport Overview
  Dorothy would have had a much easier time returning home from Oz if she flew into the Wichita Mid-Continent Airport ICT, the largest airport in Kansas located on the west side of Wichita. Several major airlines service the airport including their affiliated regional jet services. ICT airport provides nonstop flights to eleven destinations, with the most daily flights departing for Dallas/Ft. Worth. The main terminal, last renovated in 1989, funnels into two long and narrow concourses. In 2004, the airport celebrates its 50th year of providing Kansas residents and visitors with air travel options besides ruby slippers. Wichita Mid-Continent Airport is presently starting their second phase of construction - the new aircraft parking ramp - a key component of the overall $150 million project slated for completion in 2012. Construction of the new terminal building starts in Summer 2009.

  BUSINESS SERVICES AT ICT AIRPORT:
  
  The Business Center is located next to Sarah's Ice Cream and includes a copier, ATM and change machines. The Business Center also includes a Shoeshine Stand.
  
  A conference room is located on the mezzanine level of the terminal - perfect for meetings and press conferences. Catering is also available. Call HMS Host at (316) 946-4962 for reservations.

• Internet Access at Wichita Mid-Continent ICT Airport
  FREE INTERNET ACCESS AT ICT AIRPORT:
  
  To access the service you will need a standard Wi-Fi (802.11b) wireless Internet LAN card. Many newer devices have this card pre-installed. If your computer is not equipped with an 802.11b card, one can be purchased from any local computer retailer.
  
  To access the Internet you will need to have a web browser such as Microsoft Explorer or Netscape Navigator installed on your device. The SSID name for the wireless Internet service is "free".
  
  Once you have a wireless card and a browser you simply need to plug the card in your laptop, power up your computer and experience the World Wide

• Mail Center / U.S. Post Office at Wichita Mid-Continent ICT Airport
  Mail-back services at ICT Airport are provided by Excess Items Express.
  
  If a prohibited item is confiscated by the TSA and you want to ship the item back home: As you proceed through the security screening, take that item to Sarah’s Ice Cream and they will mail it you via U.S. Mail, UPS, Federal Express, etc. Excess items will provide all mailing resources, i.e., postage, envelopes, packaging, etc., to meet the needs of the items. Items may be delivered by Emu Express, Inc. if deemed cost effective. You have the option of picking up items at Sarah’s Ice Cream. Mailing cost: $2.00 – plus (US mailing, UPS, Federal Express). Holding: $5.00 up to 14 days; $30.00 up to 30 days.

• Main Terminal / Concourses at Wichita Mid-Continent ICT Airport
  ICT AirportTerminal Information:
  
  The Mid-Continent information booth is staffed with community volunteers who have been trained to answer questions and provide directions. The Mid-Continent information booth is located in the main area of the terminal.
  
  The Wichita Convention and Visitors Bureau provides tourist information at the information booth.
  
  Hotel and ground transportation phones are located opposite the baggage carousels.
  
  The Terminal has two levels, the Ground Level and the Concourse Upper Level.
  
  The Baggage Claim is located on the east side of the terminal. All passengers pick up their baggage at this location.
  
  Hotel and ground transportation information boards and phones (11) are located opposite baggage carousels.
  
  Once you have retrieved your luggage, proceed directly out the doors to curbside for commercial transportation.
  
  Short-term parking is available directly north of curbside pickup.

• Pets / Animals at Wichita Mid-Continent ICT Airport
  Pets are not allowed at ICT Airport, unless they are in a secure carrying case. TRAVELING WITH PETS: - Airline policies regarding pets vary widely and it is highly recommended that you contact the airline prior to making a reservation. Here are some helpful tips for traveling with pets:
  
  Tips for Traveling with Pets:
  
  · First, contact your airline to find out the rules and regulations they have on pet travel.
  · Do not tranquilize your pet, as the effects of tranquilizers on animals at higher altitudes can be unpredictable.
  · The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has set up rules and regulations for the transportation of live animals, and your pet is required to be at least eight weeks old and fully weaned before traveling by air.
  · Whenever possible, book a direct, nonstop flight and avoid holiday or weekend travel. Try to plan schedules that minimize temperature extremes.
  · The kennel that you use must be sturdy, properly ventilated, and large enough for your pet to freely be able to stand, turn around and lie down.
  · Get your pet comfortable with the kennel prior to flying; this reduces stress on your pet.
  · Give your pet food and water within four hours before your flight. You will have to sign a certification of the time when you last offered food and water to your pet.
  · Give yourself plenty of time for check-in so there is no rushing and everything is done properly

• Guest Services at Wichita Mid-Continent ICT Airport
  GUEST SERVICES AT ICT AIRPORT:
  
  Information Desk, staffed by volunteers, offers paging and information services.
  
  The Mid-Continent Courtesy Crew - a group of outgoing, energetic, fun-loving people who provide excellent customer service at Mid-Continent Airport. You will find them walking throughout the concourses and terminal area searching for people who may need information, directions, and assistance. The Courtesy Crew provides a human interaction not found in larger airports. Shifts run from 5:30 in the morning to 11:30 at night.
  
  A conference room is located on the mezzanine level of the terminal and is perfect for meetings and press conferences. Catering is also available. Call HMS Host at (316) 946-4962 for reservations.
  
  The Flight Deck is located on the west concourse and is a place for passengers to relax while waiting for their flight. It is equipped with plug-ins for laptops and for recharging cell phones. This room is furnished with lounge and rocking chairs, and gate seating.
  
  The Shoe Shine is located in the business center for a quick and professional shoeshine.
  
  The Skycap service available in front of the terminal building. You can pull up to the curb and let the Skycaps unload your luggage. Although this is a free service, tips are customary.
  
  Luggage carts are available in the Baggage Claim and on each concourse.

  Massage chairs are located in the terminal and concourses for your relaxation. Cost is $1.00 for three minutes of massage.
