I am visiting Tokyo and would like to leave one of my luggage at the airport for about 18 hours while I am in Tokyo. Is there a service in Terminal 1 where I can leave one bag for that time?

I suggest you e-mail to Narita Airport atnaal@na.jp.

My son inherited a hand-carved hunting knife and would like to place it in his checked baggage to get it back to his home. Is that allowed?

My baggage delayed since Dec.17. 2012 til now. it has been located in London heathrow airport and forwarded to New York JFK .here is the tag DCA BA 291477

You need to contact your airline or its baggage handler - google British Airlines for baggage (lost, missing, handlers).

I will fly from USA to Europe. Does anybody know if I can carry the electronic part of my juicer (Omega 8006) in my carry-on which is about 9 lbs? I could put it in my checked baggage as well but it may get damaged there. But I am not sure if I am allowed to carry it with my carry-on with a good packaging.

Assuming it fits in your carry on you can bring it

How much does it cost for extra baggage? What is the limited amount of luggage before you have to start paying? Are we allowed to put food in our luggage?

Each airline has its own rules and fees. In general each of the first two bags under 50 pounds is charged. Each bag thereafter has a higher charge; there are extra overweight charges. You need to open your airline site and click on baggage (or luggage) related links. Also note that if transferring to another flight, you may also incur new charges. (with much luggage you may want to contact the airline's cargo department or a shipper like FedEx.

VUELING airline lost my baggage 3 weeks ago! They ruined my honey moon!! Dindn`t gave me any compensation or money for the next twenty days I was going to be abroad! So I spend my travel dressed on supermarket clothing paid by myself. I´m still waiting for they to contact me or compensate me..Never fly UELING!

Seriously since I have been using SuperSmartTags my luggage has gone missing twice but recovered within hours. Great idea to but these tags before travelling.

Any suggestions as to how to ensure that the straps of a backpack do not get caught in the conveyor belt?

If your Airport has a baggage wrap service (clear plastic wrap) - it would usually be just before the security check. Otherwise, if you can't put straps inside, use tape to secure them or (if backpack fits under your seat or into overhead compartment) use it as your carry-on bag.

  • Odyssey of the Minds Pins Lost

Hi, I have lost a bag of Odyssey of the Minds Pins (OM) that I have exchanged with the participants during the OM competition. These pins are pinned on the Iowa state towel, kept in my checked baggage. I suspected that the pins and the towel has been removed from my checked baggage at the Chicago Ohare Airport this morning when I am flying back to Singapore via Mineapolis and Narita airports. Please let me know how I can recover my lost items. Thanks.

You may want to contact O'Hare Airport's TSA at 773-377-1210.

I am flying to the UK this summer. I will have a overnight layover of about 10hrs in DFW. Dose anyone know how early I can check my bags in? I already know I have to be there at lest 60mins befor not a problem since I will just be staying at the airport. Thanks

At the Airport make sure your bags' tags indicate all three airport codes. On arrival at DFW you need to go through passport check, pick up your bags, go through customs clearance and then re-check-in your bag (if airline transfers) or go to your connecting airline check-in counter and check it in either on arrival or in the morning. You can contact the airport as to when check-in counters open at http://www.dfwairport.com/contact/index.php

I am flying Jet Blue connecting with another Jet Blue. Arriving 7:53 connecting flight leaving 8:42 will my checked bag make the connection or should I only do carry on?

Which Airport?? If it happens to be JFK, you will arrive and depart from Terminal 5. Your checked bag will automatically be transferred to the connecting flight - checked bags are not free. If you can pack light, it's to your advantage.

do you know how far the Lufthansa airline is to the United at frankfurt airport and what terminal>

    1. Lufthansa serves Terminal 1, Concourses A & B, while United serves in Terminal B. 2. Level 3 of Terminal 1 - the Pier /Concourse level - houses Piers/ Concourses A, B & C, and a transfer tunnel connects A to B. The SkyLine train runs between Concourses A, B/C.
