Carrying food through securityNov 14, 201222Can I carry through security some pies and pudding on my trip over thanksgivingVinniejackposted on Sat, Nov 10[ Reply ]1 person likes this post [ Like ]Really it depends on the mood of the security guy and whether he has any common sense. In general they worry more about liquids than solids. A water bottle is required to be chucked on the off chance that the laws of physics have spontaneously changed, but you could probably get away with stuffing a loaf of bread full of c4 so long as it still looks like bread. Really just depends who you get on the day.mwposted on Wed, Nov 141 person likes this post [ Like ]

connectionsAug 8, 201210Vist to london from wa state via alaska air line then international flight BA london. how to get there by underground airport train?arposted on Wed, Aug 8Presuming you arrive at SeaTac Airport in Seattle (SEA): (a) if arriving on a domestic flight or from a Canadian Airport with U.S. customs clearance) you can proceed to your departing flight; U.S. international arrivals need need to go through customs clearance procedure first. Alasa uses Concourses C & D with corresponding gates, and Satellite North with N gates; British Airways uses Satellite South. I strongly suggest you open www.ifly.com/sea and click on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS, then scroll down to the text and read about procedures, terminals & transfers.weaug12posted on Wed, Aug 8

RentalJul 10, 201210I am coming home for R&R and I need to rent a car for 2 weeks how early do I need to reserve it? Also what do I need to do as far as renting it?boyce22posted on Tue, Jul 10I presume you are coming home from military duty - in which case I wish you the greatest of time while being on R&R. As to rental cars: You did not mention the airport you arrive at - each airport has different rental agencies and while most of them have rental car counters in the arrivals area, some large airports have them in a separate building. It is always good to reserve in advance, particularly in summer time. My suggestion is you open www.ifly.com then enter your airport name; therefter click on "Flights & Hotels" in the top menu, and select 'Rental Cars'. Good luck to you - have a great time.tujul12posted on Tue, Jul 10

connecting timeJun 21, 201221My flight from Los Angeles (LAX) flight 653 arriving in Washington (IAD) 21:12 Departure to Frankfurt (FRA) 22:01 Flight: 932 is enough time for connecting flight in Washington? I'm sorry for my english thanksMarRovposted on Wed, Jun 201. Make sure your at LAX that your airline will transfer bags at IAD to your connecting terminal/gate - not all airlines do, in which case you would have to carry it to the connecting terminal and check it in there. 2. As you only quote flight number and not airline, I cannot tell you to which terminal you will have to transfer to. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/iad, then click on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS, scroll down beyond the map to find terminals, gates and how to get around.wejun12posted on Wed, Jun 201 person likes this post [ Like ]

Transfer from one Flight # to anotherJun 20, 201210when you transfer from one Ft# to another (same airline) do you stay in the same terminal?CNposted on Tue, Jun 19That depends on which Airport you arrive & depart from. Some Airport's airlines use more than one terminal for different destination or for domestic or international flights, or they depart from the same terminal but from different Concourses - all of which might involve taking a shuttle bus or train. What is the name of your Airport(s)?wejun12posted on Wed, Jun 20

Transit in JFKJun 18, 201211The family and I (2 children under 8) will be transiting from terminal 7 to terminal 4 in JFK. Will we need to go through security in terminal 4 before entering departure area?BFree98posted on Sun, Jun 17At JFK, the AirTrain runs on average every 8 mins and is free between all terminals; however it departs/arrives in pre-security areas. Yes you need to go through security check again - children do not have to take off their shoes).mojun12posted on Mon, Jun 181 person likes this post [ Like ]

Pick passengers at Lambert Int'l, StLJun 14, 201210Can I wait for our arriving passengers inside baggage carousel area, Terminal 1, Lambert Int'l., St. Louis? Thank You in advanced.JC Missouriposted on Thu, Jun 14At STL, it may be a good idea to ask your party which airline & flight number they arrive at and be at the carousel serving that airline (see overhead screens) - or arrange to meet at nearby information counter. However, there is another option - use the free Cell Phone Lots (one is a mile west of Terminal 1, half a mile east of Cypress Rd, on Lambert International Blvd., the other is only a third of a mile east of Terminal 2 on the north side of the Air Cargo Road) featuring airline flight display boards. Stay with your car until our party has collected luggage and calls you to be picked up at the terminal's curb.thjun12posted on Thu, Jun 14

connection flightsJun 14, 201210I have a travel from PR to Lexington. I switch with another airline in Orlando (AA to United). I take only a hand bag so i don't need go to baggage area. In this case, I need go outside(to the counter or check point) again to ask my tickets to my another flight?mrodposted on Wed, Jun 13If you have one ticket for both AA & UA flights (stating separately arrival and departure times and gates) you need not go to the United Airline counter to get your boarding pass. Otherwise, you need to go down to the departures level's airline counter, get your ticket & boarding pass and go through security before connecting to your next flight.thjun12posted on Thu, Jun 14

enough timeJul 20, 201241I will get to SFO from CMH at 12.20 PM at terminal 1 (southwest airline) and will need to go to international terminal, which will depart at 2.10 PM. Will it be enough time to do check in, custom, etc?MCposted on Fri, Apr 271 person likes this post [ Like ]Why are you worried about customs departing SFO? You go through customs at your int'l arrival. As for terminal 1, you couldn't be any closer to Int'l. Exit Terminal 1 to the main concourse, go left and keep bearing left. The first terminal you get to is International departure. You only need to go through security again.Joelposted on Fri, Apr 27To get from Terminal 1 of SFO to the International Terminal, you need to take the red line of the Airtrain - an automated people mover in the unsecured areas of the terminals (to boarding areas A or G). When arriving at the International Terminal, you need to go through security check again before proceeding to your gate. Customs clearance is only for international arrivals. You have sufficient time.saapr12posted on Sat, Apr 28how long does it take to go from terminal 1, get your bags and go to terminal 7 and check infeb01@707rjmposted on Wed, Jul 11
