Is there an age limit for a child to fly alone? Any special requirements to arrange a flight for a 10 yr old child?

    1. Open www.ifly.com - at top choose "Travelers Tips", click on "Airport & Flying Resources" and on "Children flying alone". Or peruse your airline site.

Do I need a medical form stating I have a pacemaker?

Without medical form, alert the official at the security checkpoint.

How early before departure should I arrive? BOS/Jet Blue Booked a flight & (semi)longterm parking/8 days Departure time & parking check-in on my E-Ticket are the same 9:00am can I assume I can arrive to the Thrifty Parking afew hours earlier than my flight?

You need to be checking in at BOS in Terminal C (gates C11-42) one hr before scheduled flight; Don't know where Thrifty Parking is - if it's outside the Airport, add another hour. If it is in the new Economy Parking Garage at the intersection of Service Road & Prescott Street (follow signs from inbound roadway), a shuttle bus makes the round to the terminals every 15-20 mins, 24/7.

I am considering a flight on 12/12/12, leaving London at 9:40AM arriving Miami 2:25 PM - connecting to Tampa at 4:05PM. Is this enough time to clear customs and make the connection? Thanks

Miami's customs clearance procedures are very efficient - but count on 35-45 mins for this and another half hour to connect to your domestic flight gate - for the rest of the time, explore the amenities & services in this great airport.

  • Transittime at Newark International airp

Is 1 hour and 45 min. enough time :arriving from Norway at terminal B Sunday August 26th at 1pm-go on to LA from terminal C 1h 45min. later. I do not know the gates.

    1. At your original departure airport, make sure to task if your airline will transfer your bags to the United Airways Terminal at Newark EWR Airport - not all airlines do. Your checked bags need to indicate all 3 airport codes on their tags. 2. As an international arrival, you you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag. 3. Thereafter, take the Airtrain on the Concourse level of Terminal B, at post-security & close to gateway B2, to Terminal C where you arrive on its upper level center, post-security. You have enough time.

We arrive on Continential/United from Kansas City and will have 50 minutes to get to the international gate to fly to LHR (London). I don't have gate information yet and worried that we will not have enough time to make our plane. Will be have enough time?

You did not mention the Airport name you arrive at / depart from to London. It depends on if you need to change Terminals, and which transportation you would have to take to get there.

We are arriving UA from Calgary, Canada to Houston in April @ 6:12pm then connecting to UA flight to Ft Lauderdale @ 6:54. I am really concerned this just isn't enough time. Leaving on a cruise the following day so time is tight.

Presuming you went through U.S. customs clearance in Calgary, your time to your connecting flight would suffice: 1. At IAH, United uses Terminals A (TA) (gates A1-30; TB (gates B60-88) & TC (gates C14-45. Look at your ticket to see which gate you arrive at/ depart from.

So is the sunport closed because of winds or what? My kids were due in today at 3pm from St. louis, but were denied passagebecause of delays and the airlines inability to guarantee that they could get home today. What gives?

i am uk citizen wanting to get to south carolina. i have a long layover in philadelphia. is it possible to leave the airport before my connecting flight onwards to SC?

    1. As an international arrival at Philadelphia International Airport, you will arrive at Terminal A West (TA-West), where you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). Count on at least 35-45 mins for this procedure. Make sure you know the terminal and gate number for your South Carolina transfer - look at your ticket and at overhead screens upon arrival. To familiarize yourself with PHL Airport, open www.ifly.com/phl and click on "Terminal Map" - under the map are terminal details and how to transfer. Also, when you open ifly.com/phl, scroll down toward the end to see the transportation options (ask Information for time it takes to get to the city & back to the airport before deciding to leave the airport.

This regards TPA. I'm arriving at Airside A and have family arriving at Airside C a couple of hours after I arrive. Can I go to Airside C to wait for them without going back through security?

Tampa's gate areas are in so-called Airside Satellites, which surround the Landside terminal - connected by a monorail (Airside F is for international flights. Unfortunately, you need to go through security check.
