I am flying from Regan National airport to IAH on my way to Mexico. Do I have to go through customs security in IAH since Regan is not International?

You do not have to go through customs when you LEAVE the country, only when you enter. You will go through customs for the country you are traveling to when you arrive there.

I am travelling to Costa Rica from Toronto, with a 1.5 hour connecting time. Looks like we fly into Terminal B and fly out of Terminal C. Do we have to go through customs in Houston or will that be done in Toronto? Will we be able to make our connection?

Use the US customs clearance at Toronto. You will arrive at Terminal B and depart from Terminal C - take the TerminaLink Train running inside security to T-C. Terminal C is for United Express - operated by its regional partners ExpressJet, SkyWest, Shuttle America & Trans States. You have plenty of transfer time.

You will pre-clear US immigration in Toronto. You could arrive in Terminal A, B or C in IAH. You will depart from Terminal E. The TerminaLink train connects all terminals at IAH beyond security. You should have plenty of time.

flying into O'Hare 28/12 en route to LAS. Can we leave the airport having arrived from UK to visit Chicago before onward flight to LAS?? we are fliying with AA

Yes, you can take the CTA 'L' Blue Line Train into the city (Clark & Lake station) or the youthful Bucktown/Wicker Park neighborhood (Damen station). It takes about 45 minutes to get from O'Hare to those stations, so keep that in mind. You should get back to ORD about 80 minutes before your flight to LAS.

I will fly in on flight 371 from AMA and connect to flight 2787 in Denver going to Philly where are these gates I will be using

While your arrival via Southwest Airline is at gate C-49, your departure is not yet listed; however, if by same same airline, just walk to your connecting gate (Concourse C has gates C28 - C39 and C40 - C49 on either side of the center.)

  • 1 hour connection time - enough time???
    Jul 10, 2013
Hello!!!! I am flying to San Diego through Rome and Jfk. In Rome i have a connection time of 1 hour and i have to switch terminals from terminal 1 to terminal 3. Its my first time flying outside EU and i am very stressed about it. Do i have to pass security check? Do i also have to check in my luggage again? Is 1 hour enough for all these? Please help me!

Is your flight from Rome to JFK on Alitalia or Delta? If it's on Delta you'll actually have to go to Terminal 5. What airline are you flying from JFK to San Diego?

Arriving at terminal 1 from Brussel, have 3 hours 25 min layover before domestic flight from terminal 2 (Dec 21st). Would that be enoguh? Are there customs at terminal 1 or will we have to first og to terminal 5?

International flights from Brussels arrive in Terminal 5. You will go through immigration there, then re-check your bags, then take the ATS to Terminal 2 and go through security. What airline are you flying from Terminal 2?

The flight info says terminal 1 arriving with Brussel airlines operated by United. Leaving from terminal 2 with United but operated by Gojet to jacksonville.

Your first flight will arrive in Terminal 5 - all international flights (except precleared ones from Canada, the Bahamas, and Ireland) arrive in Terminal 5. Your GoJet flight to Jacksonville could depart from Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. After you land if you have a mobile phone you can check the flight status for your United flight - concourses B and C are in T1 while concourses E and F are in T2. Whatever flight info you're looking at is incorrect.

I will be coming from Raleigh landing 707 am leaving for Syracuse at 802 am. Will I have time to make connecting flight. What terminal will I be arriving at and leaving from. United Airlines

What airport are you connecting at?

Assuming you use United for both legs of your flights, you simply walk over to your next gate. United is in Terminal 2, at Concourse D, gates D1-9. If arriving by AirTran or Southwest (a Terminal 1) at Raleigh-Durham Airport, you would need to take the purple shuttle bus #3, to T2, then go through security check at T2 before proceeding to your A gate - but an hour will do.

tujun - he's not connecting in Raleigh. He's coming from Raleigh.

    Sorry Washington Dulles

Your first flight will likely arrive in C/D and your second flight will likely depart from A. You can take the mobile lounge between them.

Flying from MOB to NY - on US Airways 2540 connecting flight from CLT- what gate do I arrive at CLT and what is departure gate for flight 1910 to LGA - then I have to meet friends arriving at Terminal B Concourse D - I arrive at Terminal C - best way to get to Terminal B Thanks- this is May 25, 2013

At LGA US Airways uses Terminal C (gates C15-44) - your boarding pass & the overhead screens in the terminal will indicate gate number). At CLT there is only one passenger terminal with Concourses A - E. On arrival go down to the baggage claim and meet your party near the information counter.
