  • CLE->DUB

    I am flying into Chicago from Cleveland (United-Terminal 1/2) and have 90 minutes to catch my Aer Lingus flight to Dublin (Terminal 5). Should I change my flight so I have a longer layover? Thanks!

    Do you have checked bags? Are all tickets on the same reservation? If everything is on the same reservation that should be enough time. You will take the ATS Train to T5 and go through security. Of course, if you can change to a longer connection, I probably would just to be safe.

    I'm flying from Toronto to Nice with a 2 hour and 20 minute connection in Frankfurt. Do I have to collect my bags and go through immigration in Frankfurt?

    In Frankfurt you will go through Schengen passport control but as long as all tickets are on the same reservation, you don't have to do anything with your bags.

These are two separate tickets. I will have just carry-on baggage and about 2 hours and 15 minutes layover. Will I make it?

  • What is Sufficient Transit time in LAX for International Flights
    Dec 28, 2015
    Hi, I am planning to fly from Toronto, Canada to Tokyo with a stopover at LAX. The incoming flight is Air Canada (Terminal 2 at LAX) and the departing flight is All Nippon Airways (Terminal TBIT at LAX). The time to connect is 90 mins. Is this enough time and do I have to checkout and recheck-in my bags at LA? Thanks.

    If both flights are on the same reservation you won't have to do anything with your bags in LAX. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. In LAX All you have to do is exit Terminal 2, walk to the International Terminal and go through security. You should have enough time.

  • FCO to PIT via JFK
    Dec 2, 2015
    I arrive at JFK at 6:55pm from FCO and will have the flight for PIT at 8:28pm... unique reservation with Alitalia-Delta... will 1h 33m be enough to transfer from T1 to T4 for the fly to PIT? Thanks!!! Fly is on dec 8th!!

    That should be just enough time if your flight from Rome is on-time. You will arrive in Terminal 1, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the re-check desk, then take the AirTrain to T4 and go through security.

    Is the re-check desk just after US Customs?

    Yes, it is.

    Thanks a lot for the help! One last question: is the air train to T4 free?

    Yes, transfer between terminals is free.

    Thanks a lot!!!!
