connecting timeNov 11, 201110I plan to travel on Jan 9th,2012 from SNA to YUL. My plan AC5171 from SNA will arrive at ORD (T1) at 12:37 and I'll have 38min to get AC8654 from ORD(T2). Can you please tell me if I'll be on time before I book the fligt? (I have only carry-on luggage). Thank You.LTTposted on Fri, Nov 11[ Reply ][ Like ]While Montreal Airport has a US customs check (no need for international arrivals inspection at the US), 38 mins is not advisable, particularly in winter, causing possible flight delays. Also, note that T2 has a gateway splitting into E & F Concourses - each with 14 gates, gates F11A, B & C being on lower level. You can connect between T1 & T2 in the secured area (not at gates), but it's complicated.HH39posted on Fri, Nov 11

Going through CustomsNov 6, 201120I will be flying from Puerto Vallarta to Calgary Canada through Phoenix. When I go through customs (1)where should I line up--with US citizens or the other line and 2: do I have to pick up my bag or will it go directly through to CalgaryJRposted on Fri, Nov 4All international arrivals (including US citizens) need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes).PilotJoeposted on Sat, Nov 5I always receive conflicting answers when I ask if Canadian passport holders should line up with the US citizens. Sometimes I am told yes and other times I am told to enter with foreign immigrants. Usually when that happens I have little time to get to gate. Any sugesstionsJRposted on Sun, Nov 6

Bumped per Federal Regulation/Law?Nov 3, 2011210Unbelievable but true.... I think this may be new even to all you seasoned travelers? I live close to San Diego and have recently been so shocked by what Alaska Airlines has done that I had to write. This may be a first for you, it was to AMEX.... We booked First Class Round trip tickets to and from Maui, via San Diego through AMEX. We have all our documents, printed paper tickets etc. in their nice blue pouch. My boyfriend, away on business, received a call yesterday from Alaska Airlines. Basically, they proceeded to cite some Federal mandate, refusing to tell him what it was, that gave them permission to Bump us off our paid First Class seats! They gave us 2 totally unacceptable options....one being stay 2 more days....we pay for our hotel and fly out 2 days later! He has already paid the AMEX bill! AMEX claims this is all coming from Alaska Airlines and even though they had one of their exec's call one of Alaska Airline's exec's....no go. We have not taken a vacation in 5 years...have never been to Hawaii...first trip....paid and re-confirmed all these arrangements and now this. We basically will be forced to leave 2 days early to get the same direct flight from Maui. Could a politician, or celebrity have decided he/she wants our direct, non-stop, First Class flight from Maui to San Diego to be back for Monday morning?! We feel this is totally unacceptable....we also feel discriminated against. They claimed they bumped us because we were the last to confirm our seats in first class. How can that be, there were other seats available when my boyfriend picked our seats! Have you ever heard of this....do you know of a Federal law that allows the airline to bump someone with a paid ticket off in favor of 2 others with no explanation? Thanks for any help. We are considering going to the local news about this....let them take pictures of everyone in first class and see who, of influence, has manipulated the system to their own advantage. THANKS¡¡¡¡¡besposted on Mon, Oct 24Note that all flights from Schengen countries arrive at A-Gates, and all flights to non-Schengen countries depart from B-Gates (exception: Brussels Airline flights to Africa). You arrive at A gates and your connecting flight is at B gate: At Concourse A follow 'Transfer B' signs to elevator / escalator and go to level; walk through the tunnel & take escalator to level 2; follow signs "transfer B' follow corridor and go through passport control; then take escalator to Level 3, follow corridor to shopping area at start of Concourse B; pass security control and proceed to your gate. - Hurry. In case your connecting flight is at T gate (look at your ticket): At Concourse A, follow signs to the T gates towards the end of Concourse A, go through passport control and proceed to your T gate.1039posted on Mon, Oct 24

Van Galder bus from UW Memorial UnionOct 20, 201105The Janesville, WI based Van Galder bus leaves from Madison and stops at the Park and Ride on the way down to Chicago (through Beloit). It goes to O'Hare on some runs, Midway on some runs, downtown Chicago on some runs, and to Rockford on some runs. It is a very reputable bus company; and a change-of-pace from Greyhound because the coach is more spacious.gsposted on Thu, Oct 205 people like this post [ Like ]

connecting to international flightOct 18, 201110I'm arriving on Brussels airport from Spain at 18:30 pm. I have to transfer at 20:15 pm to a flight to Addis Abeba. Will I have enough time between flights?? Any ideas what terminals I will be using?? THANKSmbesaposted on Tue, Oct 18you need to look at your ticket to see which gates you arrive at and depart from. The huge terminal has two Concourses (or "Piers"), A & B. Concourse A, ground level, after security check-point, offers some shops & restaurants and Gates A28 to A39. The first level also has some shops & restaurants and access to gates A40 to A72 and to gates T61 to T72. The second level is a service level with some airline lounges. 6. Concourse B, accessible from the Departure level, houses gates B01-B98, and the transfer bus to the T Gates. Pier B is divided into Pier B Departures and Pier B Arrivals.MUCposted on Tue, Oct 18

Intl Arrival connecting to domesticSep 22, 201120I'm arriving on Continental international flight connecting to Continental domestic flight, all at Terminal C. Do I have to leave security zone and re-clear security after leaving customs/immigration? Many thanks.cwposted on Thu, Sep 22Assuming you leave from EWR (Newark Airport): 1. All international arrivals need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). Count on 30-40 minutes for this procedure. The C gates consist of gate areas C1, C2 & C3: gate area C1 arranged in a Y-shape with gates C70-75, C80-88 & C90-99 on each side; gate area C2 has gates C101A-115A-B (15 gates); gate area C3 has gates C12-130.1039posted on Thu, Sep 22I'm arriving on Brussels airport from Bilbao (Spain) on Oct 30 al 18:30 pm. Is there enough time t do that?eyeflyposted on Wed, Sep 211. Unless you have gone through US customs clearance by participating airports in Canada and the Caribbean, you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and re-check-in bag (the tag should indicate layover and final destination Airport Codes). Count on 30-40 minutes. At TB take the Airtrain (close to gateway B2) to Terminal C where you arrive post-security, upper level. TC has 3 gate areas: gate area C1 arranged in a Y-shape with gates C70-75, C80-88 & C90-99 on each side; gate area C2 has gates C101A-115A-B (15 gates); gate area C3 has gates C12-130. ProceduresSep 19, 201110I need to know the procedures for international flying out of Houston. I'm flying to into Terminal C and leaving from Terminal E, same airline. Will in need to pick up my bag and then re-check it? I only have an hour layover. Is that enough time?tcedwacwposted on Mon, Sep 19No time to waste! If arriving at gates C29-45 and transferring to Terminal E,walk towards gates C14-24 & proceed straight on to TE. The International Arrivals building (part of TE)at IAH can be accessed from both TE and TC, with separate US Customs. Arriving passengers go through customs & take the escalator down to Baggage Claim Level 1. From there they go through Exit Control and enter to the right the baggage recheck area. Then proceed to your departure gate. TE's gates have on one side E-12-24, on opposite side E1-11.HH39posted on Mon, Sep 19
