Is it better to go southwest & layover in MDW, go American Layover in MCO, or go a United Layover in Dulles?
Where are you flying from and to?
From Charlotte to Seattle the layovers are in the morning (overnight flights) except southwest.
The MCO layover may be a bit tricky since American doesn't actually fly from Seattle to MCO - that flight is on Alaska. IAD is in general a very simple airport to do a layover in but isn't very nice (all United mainline flights are on the same concourse). MDW is nicer, but very crowded and delay prone.
I am flying into MIA from MCO and will arrive in Miami at 11;30 AM using American Airlines, then my next flight is MIA to BOGota Colombia at 2pm on LATAM Air. I know they are both part of OneWorld, BUT do I still have to get my bag from Baggage Claim, go ALL the way to the front of the airport and re-check in my bag and go through security all over again? This is my first international flight, and I am really confused as to how to go about the connecting flight without screwing anything up.
If everything is on the same reservation then you just have to go to the LATAM gates which I believe are in J on the south terminal, go through security and to your departure gate. You should have plenty of time. You shouldn't have to do anything with your bag.
I am thinking about booking a Jetblue flight from CHS to JFK that lands at 11:39 AM. I am not checking any bags and need to make it to a Korean Air flight by 2 PM for Thailand. Will I have enough time? Do I need to go through security again?
Yes, you will have to go through security again, but other than changing terminals that's it. You have enough time as long as the Jetblue flight is on-time.
We will have an 8 hour layover on our way from Chicago to Madrid. We are planning to go into the city. How much is a taxi from Newark airport to Times Square and how long would it take? Is a taxi our fastest option?
It would take over an hour and cost $60 each way. I don't recommend it. For the limited amount of time you will be there, it's honestly not worth it.
As you can see I've a connection flight from DFW to LAW coming from FRA. Do I need to get my luggage in DFW and re-check? It' s not much time to get the connection flight ( from Terminal D to B ) and I've had some knee surgeries, so I'm not a very fast walker at this time :-)
Hi we are flying into Newark from Manchester and then transferring to a flight to Orlando. we have 2hrs 10 mins between the flights when arriving and 1hr 12 mins between flights when we return home. do these timescales give us enough time ? also what terminals do we arrive and leave from and what is the best way to travel between them. Thank you - all advice is much apperciated
Hi - sorry forgot so say, we are flying with United Airlines on all flights.
