  • How to reach from International to Domestic Terminal?
    Oct 16, 2014
    1
I will be arriving From Dubai to Atlanta (Flight DL7 ) at Terminal INTL. I have next Flight to Washington DC (IAD) (Flight DL 201) which is from Terminal S. So how will I reach to Terminal S , from Terminal INTL? Is there any service I should know about, please? Thanks.

You don't actually have to go to the S Terminal. Pleas look at the map. you will arrive in Concourse E or F, where you will go through US Immigration, claim your baggage, and go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk with Delta. Then you will go through security and then take the Plane Train directly to your departure concourse. There is no need to go to the actual S terminal.

hi, i will be arriving at terminal A and have to take another flight from terminal C, i have 2 hrs and 20 minutes. how much time does it take to change terminal?

That should be plenty of time - United runs a shuttle bus inside security between the two terminals. It shouldn't take more than 25-30 minutes.

I am flying into DFW from Cancun with a final destination of Cleveland. We arrive at 8:35am on an AA flight and depart DFW at 10:10am (1:35 minute layover) also on American Airlines. Will that be enough time to make it through customs and onto our connecting flight?

  • baggage carts for passengers $5.00

Why does msp airport continue to charge an exhorbitant price ($5) to rent baggage cart for a few minutes. If we ask a porter for help he will expect a $5 tip. I have traveled here and in Europe and China and rarely found an airport that does not make carts available for free.

Yes, that should be enough time.

I'm transferring form Domestic (American Airlines) to Intl (Qatar Airways) and the time is only 1 hour. My ticket is not booked seperately and its a combiled ticket to my flight to India. Will it be possible to change in 1 hour.

Yes, it is possible. All you have to do is take the SkyTrain from your arrival terminal to Terminal D and walk to your gate.

  • I have a connection in Atlanta arriving from Mexico and only 1 1/2 hrs

I am arriving to Atlanta from Cancun to the International terminal and have 1 1/2 hours to go through migration and customs recheck baggage and go to my gate will it be enough, all the flights are with Delta

Yes, that should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. After you clear customs and re-check your bag there is a special security checkpoint just for people connecting off of international flights and that leads directly to the plane train which will take you to your departure concourse.

  • which amtrak station is nearest Logan airport

I'm flying into Boston (Logan) and want to take the train to Portland, ME...which station should I use

The Logan Express bus service runs between Boston Logan Airport and the Woburn-Anderson train station. Note however that the Woburn-Portland train only operates 4 or 5 times per day, including a gap of 6 hours between trains in the afternoon.

Hi- we have a 10 hour layover in Atlanta - flying with delta. Is it possible to leave the airport for a few hours? Thanks

  • chicago o'hare long stop over time

on sun 10th Aug, I fly from Tampa to Chicago O'Hare and have 4.5hrs stop over before next flight to Dublin, Ireland. Can I leave the airport to visit a relative who lives near the airport? My bag would be checked thro' from Tampa to Dublin. How would this suggestion work with re-entering departures and security.

Yes, you can leave, but unless your relative lives VERY close to the airport I don't recommend leaving. To get back through security you will just have to show your ORD-Dublin boarding pass.

Thankyou Zap, that is very helpful. As a matter of interest, how long would it take to get through security?

I'd want to be back at the airport 70 minutes before my flight.

  • Switching flights with a dog with 1 hr layover
    Jul 19, 2014

I am flying from Washington, to Norfolk, Virginia, on the 23rd of July. I have a 1 hr and 5 min layover in Dallas. I am bringing my small dog. He already has his health certificate and carrier. The first flight is 4 hours long, and the second is 3, so I will need to take him to a pet relief area between the two flights. My concern is that I have to find time to pay for his ticket for each flight, as well as get him to the pet relief area, and find my way back through security, with in one hour. I am absolutely unwilling to place him in the cargo hold. This layover will be from 11:55- 12:50. What can I do to ensure that I can make this flight on time, with my dog in the cabin with me? I am willing to switch flights if possible. Please let me know how I may deal with this situation. The gate numbers are not yet posted, but I am flying on Wednesday the 23rd. My assumption is that this is not a busy day, and based off of this chart I am assuming the actual security check point won't have a wait time longer than 25 minutes tops. How might I find out about the other wait times and travel times? Thank you.

Unless you purchased two separate flights you won't have to pay a second cabin pet fee in Dallas. Security wait times at DFW are generally short as there are many many checkpoints. Just take the dog outside right after you arrive - you should have plenty of time to get back through security before your next flight.

    Thanks!!!

If the kennel with dog can fit under the seat in front of you, your airline may allow you to bring the dog onboard free. Check with your airline. Google ahead for airport map to see where pet reliefs are located. (As of August 2013 the Pet Relief area at DFW was at Terminal E, area 34.) American AL uses A, B, C & D terminals!

Ignore sajul - he is incorrect.
