Toronto to San JuanApr 2, 201310I am considering a flight from Toronto to San Juan in December that connects through JFK. The layover is only 45 minutes but we can go through US customs in Pearson airport in Toronto so we can avoid that at JFK however the flight from Toronto arrives in terminal 2 and the flight to San Juan departs from terminal 4. Is the 45 minutes enough considering we don't have to clear customs? Both flights are with the same carrier so the bags should go all the way through.CDN girlposted on Tue, Apr 2[ Reply ][ Like ]Both flights would be with Delta I assume? If so it's possible to make the connection, but be aware that JFK is pretty delay prone. However there is an airside shuttle between Terminal 2 and Terminal 4 so you can make the connection without having to go back through security. So, assuming your first flight is on-time, it's possible, barely.ZAPposted on Tue, Apr 2

Is this Connection Possible?Mar 31, 201310Here's how a tour agency booked my 82-year old Mom thru Dullus: Sunday 4/07 arrive from Cleveland 11:40AM at gate A3G. Depart Dullus on UA for JFK at 12:17PM from Gate D4. Only 37 min. Is this even possible? I'm thinking not ...JoeJrposted on Sat, Mar 30At IAD Dulles Airport, the Underground Aerotrain runs in a continuous loop from the main terminal's post-security area to the center of the midfield concourses A/B (A gates) and C/D (C gates), takes minutes, but presently does not serve the D gates; A gates are connected by walkway to the main terminal, and the shuttle bus to the D gates is located on the Main Terminal's lower level (to the right of the passenger walkway to A& B gates). I don't consider 37 mins adequate time for anyone, let alone an elderly person. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/iad, then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.sumar13posted on Sun, Mar 31

connection from 8 to 6Mar 29, 201310I will be flying in to terminal 8 and then have a 30 minute layover until my next flight. Unfortunately looking into other flights with the same route etc., my connecting flight to HNL can be in either terminal 6 or 7. In either case will I have enough time to do either of these scenarios? Do I have to go through security again from terminals 8 to 7 or 8 to 6? Also with that tight of a schedule knowing these circumstances, would it be best to carry on or check luggage? Thank youamycposted on Thu, Mar 28Presuming you mean LAX Airport, 30 mins is definitely not enough time if you need to change terminals, where you need to go through security check at connecting terminal: While T6 & T7 are connected by underground tunnel, T8 is a short walkway from T7. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/lax, then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.frmar13posted on Fri, Mar 29

baggageMar 28, 201310i,m arriving in denver on frontier alines and i,m transfer to another frontier airline will i have to recheck by baggage or will they do that automatically?skrposted on Wed, Mar 27Your baggage will be checked through to your final destination. If both of your Frontier flights are domestic you don't have to do anything with your baggage and won't touch it until your final destination. If your first Frontier flight is international, then you will have to claim your baggage in immigration in Denver then re-check it with Frontier once you exit customs.ZAPposted on Thu, Mar 28

MIA: from Conc.. D to Conc.FMar 27, 201310Diners Club credit card offers Aiport Lounge service, located somewhere in Concourse F, but my AA flight leaves from Concourse D gates. How can I get from one side of MIA terminal to the other ?***posted on Tue, Mar 26At MIA, the 3 terminals surround the parking area in a semi-circle. The North Terminal has D gates, the Cenetr Terminal E, F & G gates. The Skyride Connector, a moving walkway on level 3, connects all terminals. The MIA Airport lounge Club America is on level 3 of Concourse F, post-security.wemar13posted on Wed, Mar 27

Time allowance between flightsMar 22, 201340How much time should I allow between International flight and connection to USAlpposted on Fri, Mar 22It depends where you're coming from and where you're connecting.ZAPposted on Fri, Mar 22As an international arrival in the US you need to go through passport check, pick up your bags, go through customs clearance, and (if continuing your flight) re-check-in your bag where indicated. That can take up between 40 & 60 mins; if you need to change terminals for your connecting flight, you need time to get there and go through security check before proceeding to your gate - could be another hour. I strongly suggest you open www.ifly.com, add your Airport name or Code on top, then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text for airport & terminal information.frmar13posted on Fri, Mar 22Coming from Flight from Frankfurt to Toronto to Minneapolis I have 1hour and 6 minutes if flight from Frankfurt is on timelpposted on Fri, Mar 22I would budget at least 3 hours. You'll have to clear Canadian immigration upon arrival, then go to the US departures area, then clear US Immigration and security procedures all in Toronto. The advantage being that your arrival into Minneapolis will be like a normal domestic flight in the US.ZAPposted on Fri, Mar 22

IPL imperial county airportMar 20, 201320I live in europe, usually I take a fligth from here to (IPL) imperial county, the itinerary has 1 or 2 stop, either new york - los angeles etc... I'ts been days I am triying to find a fligth and none of the search engines as e-dreams, expedia, momondo or any small company found it, I been calling to the airport but the answer machine keeps telling me is close or you are far from your desk. Kindly let me know if the airport is close or the fligth IPL - los angeles or any other stop to IPL doesn't exist anymore... if so let me know if there any other way to arrive to the airport form another city. I'm desperate please help!!!***posted on Tue, Mar 19Starting next month, a new airline will be flying to IPL called SeaPort Airlines. You have to book your flights with them on a separate reservation and their flights to IPL will go from San Diego instead of Los Angeles. Alternatively, if you don't want to take SeaPort, the San Diego airport is a 193 km drive from Imperial and the Palm Springs airport is a 160 km drive from Imperial. http://seaportair.com/ZAPposted on Wed, Mar 20

luggage service terminal 1Mar 19, 201310One of guests, Mr Gaston Vanduyseadem, is arriving tomorrow, March 20, with Brussels Airlines, flight 501, at 2.05pm at JFK and due to his physical condition, he will need assisitance wiht luggage handling from terminal 1 to terminall 5. He has a flight with Jetblue at 5.30pm, leaving from terminal 5. Can it be arranged that a luggage service is waiiting for him when he arrives at gate 1? Obviously, he wil pay for this serivice. Please let me know, so we can inform our guest before his departure tomorrow morning what he can expect upon arrival.LeMeridienBposted on Tue, Mar 19Your guest needs to contact his first airline to arrange for transfer. If that is too late, he needs to advise his flight attendant of his upcoming need. I suggest that he open www.ifly.com/jfk, then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text (re international arrivals procedure, and terminal transfers (P.S.: I have Brussels Airline listed as being at Terminal 8.)tumar13posted on Tue, Mar 19

Changing Airlines in JFKMar 18, 201320We will be flying on Air Canada from Quebec City (YQB) to JFK with ether a transfer in Montreal or Toronto. In JFK will be taking Turkish airlines to Istanbul Here are my questions 1) Is it possible to check the bag all they way through to Istanbul even with two bookings that way will not pay the 25$? 2) Second will we have to go through US custom at JFK and recheck our bags with Turkish? If so how much time is recommended ThanksYQBposted on Sun, Mar 17You generally aren't able to check a bag through when you purchase two separate reservations. You will clear US immigration in Montreal or Toronto, not JFK. If you purchase the tickets on two separate reservations, you will have to claim your baggage at the regular domestic baggage claim in JFK and re-check it with Turkish. I'd want at least 2 hours to do that, preferably 2.5.ZAPposted on Sun, Mar 17Also note that Air Canada arrives at Terminal 7 of JFK Airport, while Turkish Airlines uses Terminal 1. Look for the sign for the 'Airline Terminals Train' which makes its continuous loop around the terminals; however it stops in the unsecured areas, meaning you need, after checking your bag in with Turkish, to go through security check at Terminal 1 before proceeding to your connecting gate.momar13posted on Mon, Mar 18
