  • Enough time for layover?
    Jan 29, 2015

Im flying with United from Managua, Nicaragua to DCA but I have a connecting flight on IAH with 1 hour and 40 minutes connection. I know im supposed to go through customs and collect my luggage, but what do I do after I collected my bag to go catch my other flight? Do I have enough time?

After you collect your bag and hand your customs sheet to the officer you can immediately re-check it at the transfer desk. Then you will go through security and to your departure gate. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

So first thing after I get off the plane is going through customs, right? And after that collecting my bag, and so on?

I am a Contractor and I will be working in my local Airport next week, I will have to go through TSA screening so my question is "Am I allowed to bring Chewing Tobacco into the Airport?"

    Yes, you are.

  • Connecting to BJX

If I am flyiing out of toronto via dfw to catch a connector to Leon Mex how much time will I need to make the connection ( same terminal ) and do I need to go thru any more security/custom checks in the US or will that happen again when I land in Mexico?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. Note that your flight from Toronto may not arrive in Terminal D because of this. However, the Skylink train connects all terminals inside security. All you have to do in DFW is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. 40 minutes should be enough time. You will go through Mexican Immigration and Customs when you get to Leon.

  • Flying into Terminal B; have 46 min layover to get to C

Hi. I am booked on American Airlines and it says it is coming in to Terminal B, with a 46 minute layover and plane to change to Terminal C. I won't have any checked bags but is this even possible (assuming my flight in is on time)??

It will be very very difficult, you'll have to ride Route A all the way around and then go through security in Terminal C. I'd say it's almost impossible.

Were you able to make it? I have 45 minutes to get from Terminal B to C at La Guardia today? was the route A bus the best way to do it?

  • Dubai-Seattle-Victoria...enough time

I am flying from Dubai to Seattle on a 14 hour Emirates flight. The flight arrives in satellite S. My next flight is to Victoria, Canada from terminal C. The layover time is 1h 25 minutes. I have 2 questions: 1) Would I have to go through any customs? or immigration at Seattle airport? I am only going to be in transit. 2) Is 1 hour 25 minutes layover enough to catch the Victoria, Canada connection? I do have another option where Victoria connection is 6 hours 40 minutes later. I could take that one. I am also traveling with a 4 year old so I will have a stroller. Is it true that to go to S to C, I have to take the train 4 times? Your thoughts? Thanks

I want to board a flight via Icelandair through Reykjavik to Canada as a new immigrant. I have the immigrant visa but not yet the permanent resident card, only the COPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residence). Can I transit in Iceland without a Schengen transit visa?

I am planning to fly from Dublin to Seattle and can use the pre-clearance system, then after a cycling holiday in Usa, I want to visit a friend by flying Seattle to Kelowna in BC, Canada. It seems more efficient to return to Seattle to return to Dublin. As an Irish citizen, I will have to re-enter USA. So, how complicated will it be to re-enter?

Not complicated at all. Irish citizens just have to complete ESTA before their trip. Their second entry is actually easier as all their information will already be in the system.

Purple front with brown/tortoise shell ear pieces, prescription lenses on B concourse or C concourse on Jan. 28, 2014. Flying on Delta.

So you lost it nearly a year ago? Yeah, I don't think you're getting it back.

Is 45 minutes enough time to go from Terminal B (BOS-MIA) to Terminal D (MIA - BERMUDA)? c

I'm confused. You post asking about MIA but this post is in the forum for the Philadelphia airport. Which are you posting about?

If I am at the airport in the morning and my flight doesn't leave until 7:20 pm is there a place I can check my luggage so I don't have to sit at the airport all day?

There are no baggage storage facilities. However, depending on your airline you may be able to check your baggage in the morning if their counter is open. What airline are you flying?

    Frontier

Frontier has a 6 AM flight and doesn't have another until a little after noon, so their check-in counter may be closed from 6 AM until about 10 or 10:30.

  • International flights in and out, need to clear immigraton?

I arrive from Mexico and would leave to Spain three hours later. Do we need to clear immigraton and customs, or do we bypass and go direct to the connecting flight? I am traveling with American Airlines, both flights on the same ticket.

Yes, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk. then go through security and to your departure gate.

Daughter only has 30 Mins to connect from Seattle to HNL flight. At Seatac Airport. Both flights on Delta. Enough Time? THANKS!

It should be enough time, but obviously doesn't leave much time for delays.

Hi, I am looking at the following itinerary: ATL - SEA - NRT - BKK I arrive in SEA at 10:55am and my NRT flight departs at 11:25am. Do I have enough time to make my NRT flight? Thanks in advance for your insight!

That should be enough time. Both of your flights will be in the S Satellite. However, it obviously leaves very little time to spare in case of delays.

So, even though I'm catching an international flight (NRT = Narita, Tokyo) you think I can make it as long as there are not delays? I just wasn't sure about when they start closing the doors. Thanks!

  • How to reach from International to Domestic Terminal?
    Oct 16, 2014
    1
I will be arriving From Dubai to Atlanta (Flight DL7 ) at Terminal INTL. I have next Flight to Washington DC (IAD) (Flight DL 201) which is from Terminal S. So how will I reach to Terminal S , from Terminal INTL? Is there any service I should know about, please? Thanks.

You don't actually have to go to the S Terminal. Pleas look at the map. you will arrive in Concourse E or F, where you will go through US Immigration, claim your baggage, and go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk with Delta. Then you will go through security and then take the Plane Train directly to your departure concourse. There is no need to go to the actual S terminal.

hi, i will be arriving at terminal A and have to take another flight from terminal C, i have 2 hrs and 20 minutes. how much time does it take to change terminal?

That should be plenty of time - United runs a shuttle bus inside security between the two terminals. It shouldn't take more than 25-30 minutes.
