  • Dogs allowed in the airport pick up area?
    Dec 21, 2015

Hi, I'm picking someone up from the airport today. I will have my small dog with me, can I bring him inside?

Since you aren't traveling and won't have a container for the dog it technically probably isn't allowed, but since lots of animals go through airports while traveling, I really doubt anyone would notice or care.

We catch our flight in PIT @ 5:15am - our shuttle service at the hotel says they don't start until 4am and that the airport ticket counters are closed until then. Is this enough time to get 4 people thru without missing our flight?

Yes, they aren't lying to you. The counters and checkpoints don't open until 4 AM. there will be very few people at the airport that early. You'll be fine.

My daughter is flying from Dublin to Toronto to Chicago to Helena, MT. where will she go through customs? she has a long layover in Tornonto, but only 50 minutes in Chicago

She will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. In Chicago she just has to go from her arrival gate to her departure gate.

    Wonderful! Thank you so much!!

  • Connection time arriving from LHR, departing MIA

Hi, We're flying from LHR arriving at 1640 and then departing to CUN at 1830. I'm concerned that we may not have enough time - 2 hours. We are flying w/AA and its all 1 ticket. Do we need to go through customs & Immigration?

Yes, you will go through US Immigration, Customs, and Security but you should not have to claim your baggage because you are on an International to International itinerary. You should have enough time.

Ok thank you. Ive a US passport but my wife does not, will that make a difference? Is there an option to fast track if in business?

You will have a shorter security line in business. If your wife has never transited or visited the US on ESTA she will have to wait in a separate line for first time ESTA users.

great, well actually she is on her first ESTA (3years) but this is not the first time she has entered the USA on this this ESTA.

  • IAD International connections

I am flying into IAD from Raleigh on United and flying to Ireland on AerLingus with about a 75 minute layover. The ticket is booked as one ticket. Is that enough time to connect to the international flight? Flight arrives in IAD around 4pm and AerLingus flight departs around 5:20pm. Starting to worry we will miss connection. How difficult is it to transfer between terminals?

IAD only has one terminal. You just have to change concourses. You have plenty of time. The concourses are connected by the Mobile Lounges and AeroTrain.

i'll be flying from new delhi(del) to prague(prg) .my flight is a connecting one and it has a layover in amsterdam for 12 hours. will i need airport transit visa and can i leave airport premises of amsterdam?

You will need a Schengen tourist visa (or whatever appropriate visa you need for your visit to Prague), since Prague and Amsterdam are both in the Schengen area, you will go through Schengen passport control in Amsterdam.

Hi, my husband and I will arrive to DFW from LGA at 3:57 pm and need to take our next flight at 5:05 pm to Costa Rica with AA on Nov 4th. Is this enough time?

Yes, that should be plenty of time. The SkyLink train connects all terminals inside security. All you have to do in DFW is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate in Terminal D.
