We are flying with Delta and can check in 24 hours ahead of time. Does it speed up when you board by checking as early as you can? Say our flight is at 7:45am on May 31 and we can check in at 7:45am on May 30th but can't until 1:00pm on May 30th. Does that determine when we can board?

No, boarding groups on Delta are not determined by check-in time. Check in at any time within the 24 hour window that's convenient for you.

What happens if while you are waiting on your flight it is delayed to where you miss your connecting flight? Do they put you on the next connecting flight?

They can put you on the next available connecting flight, or if you know you will miss your connection, you can ask to be rebooked through a different hub if possible.

Thank you for the information. Sorry to ask but what does "Differnt Hub" mean ? Is that different carrier? Thanks

It means if the airline has multiple connecting hubs, they might fly you to a different city than originally planned, and you would make your connection there.

We are flying United out of Kalispell, MT and will be arriving in Denver on a small plane and catching a connecting flight to Orlando, FL. We have only a 35 minute layover. Do we have enough time to make our connection?

Yes, that should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. All United and United Express flights in DEN are on the same concourse.

my step is traveling from mexico to another overseas destination with change of flight through houston. will he still need a transit visa? if so how would that be obtained. he is traveling on a russian passport....

Since he is a Russian Citizen he will need a transit visa. To get one he needs to contact a US Embassy or Consulate. There is one in Mexico City. http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/other/transit.html

I'm a bit confused. If i fly from moncton to honolulu thru newark. On my way back home, where can I pass the canada immigration? Thank you.

On your way to Honolulu, you will go through US Immigration in Terminal C in Newark, claim your baggage, go through customs, and re-check it. Then go up to the departure level and through security and to your departure gate which will also be in Terminal C. On your return to Moncton, you will not go through any immigration in Newark and instead go through Canadian immigration in Moncton.

    Thank you very much.

  • Connecting on KLM in Amsterdam

Is 90 minutes enough time to connect in Amsterdam when flying from the US to Copenhagen as final destination?

That depends on on-time arrival at AMS. Arrivals from a non-Schengen (foreign) country: note that the passport will be checked upon arrival at, and departure from, Amsterdam Airport. On arrival, after passport control, follow signs to 'Baggage Hall' located on the ground level, retrieve your bags, & go through customs for security check. If you have nothing to declare, proceed to the Arrivals Hall through the green passage way. If connecting to a Schengen country, go through ticket control & security check; if connecting to a non-Schengen country, security check will be at the gate. Note that the transfer desks offer transfer information.

Im a number and when you get someone and you ask them a question they have to ask you 4 times to understand you and to even get the "Number" right not to say that my flight is the last flight of the day when you say that they still Ask What day is the flight leaving? Are you kidding me? Im at the D$@# airport trying to catch a flight What day Im just here to chill out and see what I can get into? FYI dont ask for a ticket number if you cant read my flight or speak english............

My wife is an international flight attendant and we use this site all the time to check if the aircraft arrived the night before to an airport for the early morning flight, to check gate changes, length of flight, and delays. I also keep track of my wife's departure/arrival times during her flights. Many times, Flight Tracker has info before the airlines posts it. GREAT service. Thank you iFly.com.

I echo your comment. I could not have said it better myself. On one occasion I observed my wife's flight make a complete circle over four states to avoid weather and then emergency land to take on more fuel. Flight Tracker was ahead of the airline status line. Keep up the GREAT effort.
