  • 33 minute layover
    Feb 23, 2015
we are flying delta from san diego to Minneapolis and only have a 33 minute layover to get to our next flight delta too, Minneapolis to Mosinee will we have enough time to make our flight and what about our checked baggage on the first flight is that enough time to get our luggage off the first plane and on to the second plane?

It's possible. The MSP airport is not that big and all gates are connected inside security, but it doesn't leave much time to spare for any delays of any kind.

  • layover time

I will be flying from Peoria il to O'hare with a two hur lyover befr flyibng to Dublin Ireland, will the laover be long enough for me to make the second fligh

Yes, it should be long enough regardless of what airline you are flying. If you are flying Aer Lingus to Dublin you will have to transfer to Terminal 5 using the ATS train and go through security, but if you are flying United or American you can just walk to your departure gate.

  • USA Immigration
    Feb 24, 2015
I am flying from Vancouver to LAX and will clear USA immigration in Vancouver. I have a connecting flight from LAX to Brisbane. After I collect my luggage will I need to go through USA immigration again before boarding my flight to Australia?

No. There is no US Immigration upon departing the USA. If you purchased two separate tickets you just have to take your bags to your second airline, go through security, and to your departure gate.

Thanks for your response. I have 2 1/2 hours between arriving at LAX and departing for Australia. I need to go to a different terminal for departure. Will this be enough time to collect my luggage and get to my departing plane. I know LAX can get very busy.

That should be enough time if your first flight is on-time.

  • Spokane-Seattle-Honolulu
    Feb 5, 2015
I´m flying to Hawaii from Spokane, with a 30 mins layover in Seattle before Honolulu. will that be enough time? I'm flying with Delta

Yes, that is enough time as all the Delta gates are near each other, however, it obviously leaves little room for any delays on your first flight.

  • Connecting flights
    Feb 3, 2015
I will be getting a flight from Indianapolis to DTW, then my next flight (DTW to Amsterdam) is only 54 mins after my first! Will I make the second flight in time? (I am a British Citzen, if that makes any differences) Thanks :-)

All you have to do in DTW is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, which are both in the McNamara Terminal. If your first flight is on-time you will have enough time.

  • Connecting flights in EWR
    Feb 9, 2015
I am flying in February to Newark from Halifax NS and was just notified that the flight is going to arrive later. This is going to give me just 55 minutes to catch my connecting flight to Honolulu. Is this enough time? I believe I have to change terminals but both flights are with United. Thank You.

That should still be enough time as long as your first flight is on-time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Halifax.

  • Seattle
    Jan 5, 2015
I hope to fly with Alaska Airlines from Kalispell Mt to Seattle continuing same day, same airline to Kelowna BC. Then 2 days later, Kelowna BC to Seattle (Alaska A) continuing to Dublin with America Airlines. Does Alaska A and American A flying to the same terminal at Seattle or will I have to make changes? Thankyou.

Seattle only has one Terminal. All gates in Seattle are connected inside security. However, if you are purchasing separate tickets and because you will have to go through US Immigration and Customs upon arrival from Kelowna, and because you will have to take your bags to the American ticket counter to re-check you need to allow at least 2.5 hours, preferably a little more for your connection Kelowna->Seattle->???->Dublin.

Thankyou, very helpful. Plan B: Fly Dub to Seattle via chicago (3hr15 layover) all with United on 23rd June. Then Kelowna BC to Dublin via Calgary (2.5 hr layover) & Toronto (3.15hr layover) all with Air Canada. Does any of this require a terminal change please.

If you fly to Chicago on Aer Lingus then you will have to change from Terminal 5 to Terminal 1, but you will have plenty of time. No other connections would involve terminal changes.

  • domestic to international
    Jan 4, 2015
Is 2 1/2 hours enough layover/connection time in Atlanta if arriving Delta domestic and going to Delta international on one ticket? Do I have to get my own bags?

That is plenty of time. All you have to do is take the plane train from your arrival concourse to your departure concourse. You don't have to do anything with your bags.

  • Kalispell MA to Kelowna BC, Canada
    Jan 3, 2015
Does American Airlines fly from Kalispell MA (USA) to Kelowna BC, Canada in July? Thankhyou.

American Airlines does not fly to either of those locations. The only airlines that serve both Kalispell and Kelowna are United Airlines and Alaska Airlines. Also, be aware that MA is Massachusetts. MT is Montana.

  • Check in international customs
    Dec 26, 2014
I am flying to Rome from Dulles with a layover in JFK. Where will I have to do international customs check in, at Dulles or at JFK?

You don't go through us customs when leaving the US.

We have a 14 hour layover new years day. 7am to 9pm. What to see and do!cannot find a visitor guide on the airport.

It's an airport, there's very little to see and do there. You can take the AirTrain and Subway into Manhattan. It takes about an hour each way.

  • Importing a cat into U.S.

  • Transfer Time same terminal
    Dec 2, 2014
I'm flying from buffalo into O'Hare on United landing at 5:11pm Saturday night Dec 6 terminal 1 and transferring to a flight to San Fransisco departing at 6pm from terminal 1 also. Is 49 minutes enough time to change planes in same terminal. I will only have a carry on with me. Both flights are with United, also what happens if the first flight is delayed a bit?

Yes that should be enough time. If your inbound flight is delayed and you miss your connection you will be rebooked on the next available flight to San Francisco. United has many of them.

at no charge? or will I have to play for the next flight?

Yes, there is no charge if the reason you miss the connection is because of a delayed United flight.

  • Kallispell Int Airport, Ma to Chicago
    Dec 2, 2014
Next July 2015, I want to fly direct from Kallispell Int Airport in Montana to Chicago. So far, I have not found any airline doing a direct service. Is it possible to fly direct to O'Hare or other Chicago airport?

United usually flies Kalispell-Chicago nonstop during the summer, but they have not loaded their seasonal flights for next summer yet. Check again in February or March. You won't miss out on low fares by not booking now.

Would the same apply for United from Dublin to Seattle flying end of June? Should I wait?

    No airlines fly Dublin-Seattle nonstop.

United has loaded their nonstop flights for the summer between Chicago and Kalispell onto their schedule. It will fly daily in June and July.
