Am planning to fly out of ORD on a Friday evening to Shannon, Ireland. 2 travelers at least 1 checked bag between the two of us. Was wondering if arriving around 1430 is enough time for a 1610 flight or would we be cutting it way too short? Thank you!
If it's the summer then I would really try to be there closer to 1410, but the International terminal isn't THAT busy in the mid afternoon, compared to late afternoon/early evening.
My seat will be assigned when I get to the airport unless I am willing to pay extra for a seat. Is it better to pay extra for a seat to guarantee that I will get one even thought I've already paid $400 for a ticket? Will it guarantee that when I change planes that that plane will wait for me if the first plane is running late?
Nothing can guarantee that a plane will wait for you (it probably won't). Whether or not you feel that paying for an assigned seat or not is worth it to you is your decision.
I am US citizen flying from LAX to Cabo. Do I need to get to airport two hours early? Or is it same security line as domestic where 1hr will do? Wasn't sure if the Trump stuff effects security lines now or not?
It's the same security line. Security lines have not changed at all recently. Note however that your airline may have earlier bag check cutoffs for international flights if you are checking a bag.
Our flight from Honolulu on Hawaiian Air (booked on Air Canada Web) arrive Vancouver at 7:10am....I have a connecting flight (Air Canada)to Calgary at 8:30am. Will this give me enough time to get through customs/immigration and get to my flight?
Yes, that should be just enough time if everything goes smoothly.
