transfer from JFK to LGANov 20, 201220My mom is arriving from overseas to JFK, and she has 3.5h to go throuth customs, grab bagadge and go to LGA(check in, check bagadge and sit in airplane) Is it enough time for her? and if she is late to the plane, what next? THANK YOUKrisposted on Mon, Sep 10As an international arrival at JFK your mom needs to go through passport control, pick up bags, and go through customs clearance (35-45 mins at non-rush hours) - These are her transfer choices from JFK to LGA: ETS Air Shuttle 718-221-5341; All County Express 914-381-4223; NYC Airporter 718-777-5111. Travel time 45-60 minutes. She needs to check in her bags at LGA, go through security, and on to her connecting gate. (To find out which terminal at LGA, open www.ifly.com/lga and click on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS, then scroll down to the detailed text.tusep12posted on Tue, Sep 113.5 hours SHOULD be enough time if she doesn't arrive during rush hour and has no major delays, but it will be very tight under the best of circumstances. Make sure she takes a taxi between the airports (budget $30-35 or so) otherwise there's no way she'd make it. As for the second part of your question - depends on the airline. I've been late for flights and have them just rebook me on the next flight with no problem, but I've also had to pay for a new flight. More of a chance for the former, but you never can be certain with themezanaposted on Tue, Nov 20

Terminal and Train ConnectionSep 11, 201210We arrive from Vancouver, Canada via Amsterdam to FCO. What terminal will we be arriving at? We plan to take FR1 train to Trastevere Station. What exit do we go through to find this train? Do we go through customs in Rome? Thank you.Arlene44posted on Mon, Sep 10On arrival at AMS you need to go through 'Non-Schengen' line for passport check; Your arrival and departure there depends on your airline. When arriving at FCO, you will exit at 'Schengen' line (domestic) - then proceed to the baggage claim. FCO Airport's train station is located in Terminal 3's concourse leading to the H gates. Sabina-Fiumicino line FR1 run every 15 mins and you can change trains at the following stations: Tiburtina, Trastevere .... I suggest you open www.ifly.com/ams to familiarize yourself with the arrivals/ departures system - click on "Terminal Map" at QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the text. (do the same at www.ifly.com/fcotusep12posted on Tue, Sep 11

Ground Transportation at LoganSep 10, 201211It's abysmal. No signage. No eay way to book shuttles to and from the hotel. For a major city in North America, I'm more than disappointe.MBRposted on Mon, Sep 101 person likes this post [ Like ]Many of the US Airports are now starting to make amends; case in point: BOS: 1. Construction of ConRAC, the Consolidated Rental Car facility at Boston Logan, is scheduled to be completed by 2013. 2. Terminals B, C & E renovations / upgrades, are tentatively scheduled to be completed June 2013). Upon completion, Terminal B will house United and Terminal C Jet Blue; both terminals will provide better customer service and a post-security connection between both sides of Terminal B and between Terminals C & E. This will eliminate having to go through secuirty check again.mosep12posted on Mon, Sep 10

How to get on the shuttle train at dca?Aug 26, 201210How to get to the shuttle train at dca which will take me to vietnam memorialstirfry777posted on Sun, Aug 26At DCA, the Metro station's yellow & blue lines are situated on an elevated outdoor platform covered by a canopy and connected to the concourse level of Terminal B/C. During Metro's non-operational hours on weekend mornings, you can take the Metrobus instead. On arrival, pass by at the information counter near the baggage claim area to get directions.suaug12posted on Sun, Aug 26
