Looking for transportation from home in Prunedale to Monterey airport

Aside from calling a taxi, you have the option of taking the Monterey Airbus, a door-to-door shuttle (tel. 831-373-7777 or montereyairbus.com.) On its way from either SFO or SJC airports it stops in Prunedale & Monterey Airport.

  • getting from EWR to Fair Lawn

I will be arriving on a Saturday evening (international flight) to EWR and need to get to Fair Lawn, NJ. what would be the least expensive way to do this? is it safe to take the NJ train (change at secaucus) at that hour? is there some kind of shared van that is available?

This is what I found at Wiki Fair Lawn, N.J.: "Fair Lawn is served by the Radburn and Broadway train stations on the New Jersey Transit Bergen County Line. The stations offer service to Hoboken Terminal, with connections at Secaucus Junction to Penn Station in midtown Manhattan and to most other New Jersey Transit train lines. New Jersey Transit buses include the 144, 148, 160, 164 and 196 routes to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in midtown Manhattan; the, 171, 175 to the George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal; and the 746, 758 and 770 lines, offering local service." In my opinion, it would be easiest for you to take the bus into NYC: 1. The Olympic Bus service to Manhattan is available to downtown and midtown; the bus to midtown makes its first stop at the Bus Terminal on 42d Street/8th Avenue and continues on to the Grand Central Station.

thank you for replying - i will look into this

Although I live in Southfield, for any trip lasting more than a couple of days, I drive to Ann Arbor and take advantage of the following deal they call AirRide: $24 r/t (prepaid) using Michigan Fllyer Park in the Fourth Ave parking structure for up to 14 days for an additional $2 (flat! not per day!).. The bus takes about an hour between the airport and downtown Ann Arbor. There are three stops. http://www.aata.org/pdf/AirRideFactSheet.pdf http://www.myairride.com/

I will be coming in to Terminal B. Where do I find the Downtown Shuttle?

Stop by at SAT's information counter. If the shuttle leaves at Terminal A, you can walk right over as the unsecured areas of the terminals are connected. The GO Airport Shuttle (210-281-9900) is the Airports only shared-ride hotel shuttle service, departing the Airport every 15 minutes.

    Thank you!

  • from JFK to Port Authority

Arriving 4:40PM (scheduled time, it would more likely be around 5:00PM) Terminal 4 from Europe.I have a tourist visa. I have to take the bus to Port Authority and the last bus for Philadelphia is leaving at 9:15PM. Would I have enough time? Thank You!

    1. As an international arrival at JFK, you need to go through passport control, pick up your bags, and go through customs clearance - count on 35-40 minutes for this procedure. Thereafter you have the following choices to get to either Grand Central Station (42d Street & Lexington Ave. or to Penn Station (34th Street & 8th Ave.) - depending where your scheduled train (Amtrak) will depart from: (a) 1. Car & Van Service: Airlink N.Y. 877-599-8200; ASl County Express 800-914-4223; Super Shuttle Long Island 800-742-9824; All County Express 800-914-4223; Connecticut Limo 800-472-5466; (b) The NYC Airporter Bus, tel. 718-777-5111 runs every 30 minutes and costs around $16. For online tickets visit NYCAirporter.com. The bus stops across from the Grand Central Station and you can easily walk over with your bags. I think the bus to Penn Station is a separate one. Count on 1.5 hrs from Terminal to GC Station. Your time seems to be quite sufficient.
