i need know if is possible sleep in hotel inside the aeroport i have a stop for 13 ore

Houston has two Airports: 1. Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport IAH for international flights, 2. Houston Hobby HOU for domestic flights. At IAH, the on-Airport 'Airport Marriott Hotel' is located in the center of the Airport terminal complex (tel. 281-443-2310 or 800-228-9290), linking the airside of the terminals to the hotel's dining & conference rooms. HOU has no on-Airport hotel.

A friend has a 4 hour layover arriving from SNA and leaving on an international flight to Scotland. Can we meet with him at the airport during his layover.

Yes, that might be enough time. Ticketing area of the international terminal is probably the best place.

  • Glasgow via Newark to either toronto yyz or buffalo buf

International flight from Glasgow UK united. To either buffalo or toronto as based in niagara Canada side 30th December with 2hr 10minute layover I need wheel chair. What is best connecting flight to choose and is this enough time and what is process

As to wheelchair or special needs accommodation, you need to contact United. You will arrive at EWR at Terminal C, where you need to go through passport check, pick up bags, go through customs clearance, and re-check-in bags where indicated. Your connecting flight to Toronto would be in the same terminal, while a United Buffalo departure may be out of Terminal A, reached via Airtrain, which takes no more than 10 mins, but you need to go through security check at TA before proceeding to your gate. At Buffalo Airport, Canadian and US travelers can take either the on-site Airport Taxi (1-800-551-4369), the Airport Express (1-800-604-1570) or the Airport Shuttle (1-888-402-6606)--among many other options. At Toronto you have more transportation options.

If both flights leave at the same time then just choose whichever destination is easier for you or costs less. Both will likely leave out of the same part of the terminal at Newark and both entail the same procedures in Newark - you will have to go through US immigration, claim your baggage, go through customs, then re-check your bags, then possibly go to a different terminal where United Express operates, then go through security and to your gate. If you fly to Toronto, you will go through Canadian immigration when you arrive in Toronto. You can request wheelchair service from United over the phone after you book your ticket.

I arrive on flight DL5165 with 51 minutes to get to next gate on DL 1166. anyone know if this is doable?

At ATL, Delta is using Concourses 1 through E (with corresponding gates). DL 5165 arrival is listed as gate C51, DL1166 at A34. The Plane Train making its continuous round, takes you to your connecting Concourse. You should have enough time.

    Thank you for the help

  • Short layover. Will I have enough time

My family is thinking about flying from Philly to Phoenix and then on to Maui in December. Philly flight gets in at 11:08 and Maui flight leaves at 11:40. Seems kind of close especially in December. Do you think it is enough time?

As PHX has 3 terminals and your transfer depends on which airline you take, I suggest you open www.ifly.com/phx - then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS, and scroll down to the detailed text.

That is tight, even though everything will be in the same terminal on US Airways. I would try to get on an earlier flight out of Philly.

  • 45 mins layover at DTW

Hi, I am going to Fly to Detroit from Columbus, OH with Delta, and my other flight will be to Amsterdam with KLM. I have just 45 mins layover. Do you think can i catch that plane in 15 mins? Because i guess i have to go International from domestics? and what if my first flight delay a little bit, i don't want to stay in an airport whole day and night to wait the next day plane. Any suggestions? Thanks.

On your way to Amsterdam, you don't have to do anything "special" for your connection. Just go from your arriving gate to your departing gate. Also, Delta flies 4 flights a day between Detroit and Amsterdam during the summer, so unless your booked on the last flight of the night, if you miss your connection you can just be rebooked.

Thank you for your response. So do you think can i catch that plane in 45 mins? and do you know the distance between the arriving gate and my departure gate? should i take a bus or subway? I try to check from the map but i cannot understand from the gate numbers. The problem will be if i miss that plane, after Amsterdam i have 2 more connections to my city so i will miss the other planes sequentially and i bought my last plane ticket separately from the others, so Delta or KLM won't cover the last one.

You won't have to take any buses or anything. If your flight from CMH arrives in the B/C concourse (which it probably will), there's a short tunnel that connects it to A. Your Amsterdam flight will leave from the center of A, near where the tunnel is. It shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes to get between your gates.

Thank you very much for your response.

layover time 2 hour 20 minutes. Is it sufficient ? internation flight from terminal D. how to reach from terminal A to terminal D? surface train or under ground? will United A will transfer the kuggage to Lufthansa?

You take the TerminaLink train between terminals which runs inside the secure area. Yes, if your tickets were bought on one reservation then United will transfer your bags to Lufthansa. You have plenty of time.

    thanks

Hi, I'm flying Tampa to Washington, Washington to Toronto United 5162 . Is 1.15 min enough to make a connection?

Yes, both of your flights should be on the C/D concourse so it should be a very easy connection.

  • Flight From LA to Hong Kong

Hi, my flight from Salt Lake City to LA in Terminal 5 at 10.35pm and I need to catch another flight in Terminal B at 12.45am from LA to Hong Kong , I'm wondering whether enough time for 2hrs ?

LAX doesn't have a Terminal B - I'm assuming you mean the Tom Bradly International Terminal. Yes, if your first flight is on-time that will be enough time, but you'll want to hurry if you have to claim bags and move them to the second carrier yourself. (if both tickets weren't bought on the same reservation)

Is an 1 hour and 15 min loyover enough time to exit security and smoke and get back through security?

Yeah, that's probably enough time. Especially if both of your flights are in the same terminal.

will be flying into IAD on SV035, arriving at 2:00PM. I will then have to catch DL2015 to SNA, leaving at 04:29PM. Will there be enough time to catch the flight to SNA?

Delta does not fly from IAD to SNA. Are you sure you're on Delta? Perhaps the Delta flight goes somewhere else first.

I get to PHX at 11 at night and mi connecting flight doesn't leave til 7:35 am the next day. What can I do for 8 hrs? Are there hotels (cheap ones) or rooms where I can rest? I won't be touring the city at those times for sure and I don't want to sleep on the chairs with my purse and carry on. I'm a student and I'm just looking for any suggestions

Hi i'm arriving at JFK at 17h50 and leaving the day after at 20h00. Will I need to leave the airport to find accomodation tfor the night? Will i need a visa? All ideas/solutions welcome

Open http://www.sleepinginairports.net/usa/newyorkjfk.htm#.UZjtt0qnfzY - it covers from sleeping on the floor, to hotels, and more. As to visa (if leaving the Airport) that depends on if your country is part of the visa-waiver countries. See http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/temp_1305.html

My route is Omaha-Detroit-Frankfurt (Germany) by Delta. Is it enought time 50 minutes layover in Detroit? Do I have to go throught security again after Omaha?

Your transfer time at Detroit depends on which Airlines you arrive & depart from. The McNamara Terminal is used by Delta & its SkyTeam partners (including Delta & Air France), while the North Terminal uses all other DTW airlines. Both terminals are at different locations, requiring a shuttle connection and going through security check. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/dtw, then click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS and scroll down to the detailed text.

Ariive&departure is from McNamara Terminal. Is it enough time 50 minutes? Do I need security check?

At DTW, the 1-mile long McNamara Terminal has 121 gates in Concourses A & B/C. A tunnel connects in the center between Concourse A (near gate 38) and Concourses B & C (at Gates C1 of the lower level). As Concourse A is the longest, the Express Tram stops at the South station near gate A11, the Terminal station in the center near the water feature, and the North station near gate A67. Concourse A has to the left gates A38-A1; to the right gates A40-78, and at its center the tunnel connecting to Concourse B to the left and Concourse C to the right. No need to go through security. You have enough time.

You will not have to go through security in Detroit.

    Thank you

My 72-year old husband and I have a connecting flight from San Francisco, California (International flight) on board ANA airline in Terminal 1 to Las Vegas, Nevada in Terminal 3. We only have 2 hours lay-over and will need to go through immigration and customs. This is the first time we will be travelling to the USA. Will need your advice. who can assist us given my husband's age.

You can likely ask ANA for wheelchair service if you need it. Your ANA flight will actually arrive in the International Terminal. There is both a secure-side and non-secure side walkway from the International Terminal to Terminal 3.
