  • Flying from Orlando to Dublin and back
    Feb 9, 2015
Hi, I am booking a flight from Orlando to Dublin in May. I usually fly with United connecting in Newark, however, there are no flights available for my travel dates. So, I am probably going to book with American Airlines. My question is: From Orlando to Charlotte there is a 1 hour and 33 min layover (May 9) and from Dublin to Charlotte there is a 1 hour and 44 min layover...will this be enough time?

Yes, that should be enough time.

  • International flight in 40 min
    Jan 26, 2015
Hi I have to make B25 to F9 in 40 min ,layover to get international flight? Will this time is suffice ?

That is enough time if your first flight is on-time, but leaves very little to spare in case of a delay. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security.

  • DO I need transit visa while layover in nassau bahamas?
    Feb 9, 2015
DO I need transit visa while layover in nassau bahamas from dubai-london-nassau-cayman island?I am indonesia passport holder

As far as I can tell you do need a visa, the Bahamas doesn't have a separate procedure for tourist and transit visas - However, if you are on a British Airways flight that stops in Nassau and continues to Grand Cayman you may not need to exit the plane and go through Bahamanian immigration, so in that case I would ask British Airways.

yes from Dubai via Iberia and layover 14hours in london and after that stop 2 in nassau via British Arways then go to GCM How about in london ,is it need transit visa 14 hours in airport?what can I do there? thank you so much for your help

If your connection in London is the same day and all Airside (meaning you do not have to change terminals), then you are exempt from needing a UK Transit Visa -

the detail of my flight like this : Iberia - Flight 4664 This flight leaves on Thursday and arrives on Friday. Operated by British Airways Take-off Thu 3:20p DXBDubai, AE08h 00m Landing Thu 7:20p LHRLondon, UK Economy |Boeing 777-200/300 | 08h 00m Connection LHR London, UK14h 30m British Airways British Airways - Flight 253 Take-off Fri 9:50a LHRLondon, UK12h 40m Landing Fri 5:30p GCMGrand Cayman Island, KY Economy |Boeing 767-200/300 | 12h 40m Flight BA 253 has following stops Arrive 20Feb 2:55p Nassau International Apt, BS (NAS) Depart 20Feb 3:55p

Since your connection is overnight I suggest asking the British Embassy or Consulate in your country of residence.

  • YVR-SEA-PVG, 1 hour enough?
    Feb 9, 2015
I plan to go to China from Canada and have to make a transfer in Seatle. flight to SEA will land on Terminal B and flight go to Pudong will take off on Terminal S. I have only 1 hour between these two flights and will it be enough? Plus, do I need to go through US custom in SEA and redo security screen?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver. As long as your tickets were purchased together all you have to do in Seattle is take the underground train from your arrival concourse to the S-Satellite for your departure gate. That should be enough time.

Thank you for your reply. How about the return trip? Will I pre-clear US customs in Pudong? My return trip is PVG-SEA-YVR, with 2 hours layover

No, on your return trip you will arrive in the S Satellite, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then go through security and take the underground train to your departure concourse. You will go through Canadian Immigration and Customs when you get to Vancouver.

Oops..... So do you think 2 hrs would be enough?

Yes, 2 hours should be enough.

  • Delta international flight
    Jan 25, 2015
I fly in to MSP on Delta from DFW at 10:35 and then fly out of MSP on Deltas at 11:32 to Narita Japan. Delta uses only Terminal one is that correct? So I just have to walk over to my next gate and not have to change terminals?

Yes, Delta uses the Lindbergh terminal for all flights. You just have to walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

  • 8:53am to 10:16am layover
    Jan 25, 2015
Is one hour and 23 minutes enough time to get through O'Hare and make connections between a United flight from YOW (Ottawa, Canada) to a United flight to Indianapolis (IND)?

Yes, that should be plenty of time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Ottawa. In Chicago all you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. All United gates at ORD are connected inside security.

  • 37 Minute Layover in ATL
    Jan 22, 2015
Preliminary gate assignments have me coming from Gate A18 to Gate B20 in 37 minutes. Am I screwed? Both flights are Delta.

No, that's definitely possible. The Plane Train connects those concourses inside security.

  • Storing baggage during a layover
    Jan 21, 2015
We have a long layover at ORD, and our baggage can't be checked through. Where can we keep our luggage, and would four hours between flights leave enough time to go to the outlets?

There are no baggage storage facilities at ORD. Four hours isn't really enough time to leave the airport to do anything. The check in counter for your departing flight will probably open shortly after you arrive.

  • clear customs at terminal D and take delta at Ter.l A within 2.5 hrs
    Jan 21, 2015
Hello, I am coming from Qatar at Terminal D. I have to clear customs and take train to terminal A to take Delta to Atlanta. This is not connection. This is the last flight. Is it possible to avail the flight to Atlanta within the given time?

That should barely enough time. After you clear Customs you will be outside the secure area. To check your bags with Delta you will have to take the Inter-Terminal train which runs outside security to Terminal A.

  • Arrive JFK 6 am and leave at 9 pm
    Jan 21, 2015
With a layover like this I would like to get the best idea to see at least one or two sights of NYC. I don't need it to take up 15 hours, just every 6 or 7 hours. Any jump-on-jump-off buses or reasonable taxi rides to see something fun. Because after that it is another 11 hour flight, so want to see something. Since Broadway doesn't do afternoon shows, I am now at a loss. Any ideas?

I would take the AirTrain into manhattan - A taxi is $60 each way and takes longer. You could do a jump on jump off bus or just get off the train at penn station and walk around. There's lots to see and do. You could go to a museum

Thank you so much! That's a great idea and I think I'll do it. I work and live in West Africa, so if I can figure out bush taxis, I can figure out a train. Thanks again!

  • Enough layover time? 15.45 - 18.30
    Jan 21, 2015
I don't know which terminal/concourse it is. I'm arriving from Narita Japan (United Airlines) at 15.45. and my connecting flight is at 18.30 to Columbus Ohio (United Airlines but operated by Trans States Airlines DBA United Express. Would they be in the same concourse. and would this time be enough?

Sorry messed the time up. It's arriving at 15.45 And depart at 17.30.

You will arrive in Concourse C, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the transfer desk and go through security. You will then be on the departure level of concourse C. Your flight to Columbus will likely depart from concourse A. It is connected to C by the Aerotrain and mobile lounge. Just follow the signs.

  • YVR-Dubai_ Layover time 1:20 min .enough?
    Jan 19, 2015
hey i am traveeling from Vancouver to dubai . Just wondering if the layover time of 1:20 min in Seattle enough to catch the flight from seattle to dubai ?Please clarify .

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver. If you purchased tickets together you will have enough time. However, if you purchased separate tickets that is not enough time.

  • Layover times
    Jan 21, 2015
I am flying between New Orleans and London heathrow via Houston (IAH) with United Airlines and have a 40 minute connection this long enough? And what terminals are involved please?.

You will likely arrive in Terminal C. You will depart from Terminal E. To make your connection you will have to hope your flight from New Orleans is on-time and run. If for some reason you arrive in Terminal B, you can take the TerminaLink train straight to Terminal E.

Will I need to go through security etc for this connecting flight

No, the TerminaLink train runs inside security.

  • Almost 8 hours layover
    Jan 24, 2015
Hi, We were just informed that our schedule was changed, so instead of having a layover of 1h 18m we will now have almost 8 hours. So now we are not afraid to miss the connection, but we have too much time... We are going Toronto -> JFK -> Munich -> Cluj. Do we need to get our bags and re-check them? I think not, since we bought the tickets together, but just wanted to make sure. Also, will this layover provide enough time for a short trip in NY? Or better stay around the airport? Thank you, Adriana

No, you will not have to claim your bags, you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in TOronto. It's a little over an hour on the AirTrain and LIRR or Subway into to NYC. So you could have 2 or 3 hours walking around there. There's not much to see around the airport.

    Thank you!

are you sure? I have a flight from Toronto with a 12hour layover at JFK next week and was told by Delta that I must claim my bags and re-check them. I am flying to Grenada with an overnite layover at JFK, but the entire flight is with one carrier - Delta... if I do not have claim by bags this is great news. Can you confirm? thanks

  • Arriving from Toronto, going to Costa Rica, is 1 hr layover enough
    Jan 14, 2015
Hello, I am arriving from Toronto on a United Airlines Express flight. I have 1 hour and 14 minutes to get to my flight to San Jose, Costa Rica, which is also on United. Am I in danger of missing the connecting flight? I do not think I have to go through security again or collect baggage. Would you kindly confirm?

Correct. All you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.
