Flight gate locationDec 10, 201120I am trying to find out where my flight leaves (gate) from so I know if it is at a duty free store location or not. I am going from Seattle to Victoria with Alaska.dustinposted on Sat, Dec 10[ Reply ][ Like ]Duty-free stores are in the post-security area - your gate number should precede a letter (A-E - i.e., A17, B60, C24, C14, E1). Four gateways A-E at each corner of the departure level lead to the gates.MUCposted on Sat, Dec 10

visa to London for only 2 hDec 9, 201112HI I;M FLYING FROM MONTREAL TO GREECE BUT I HAVE TO STOP TO LONDON CHANGE MY FLIGHT DO I NEED A VISA I;M TRAVELING WITH WITH CANADIAN TRAVEL PASSPORT WITH GREECE VISA THKYOUjulimeriposted on Fri, Dec 92 people like this post [ Like ]Unless Montreal Airport also has a U.K. clearance (as it does with the U.S.), you will need to go through U.K. Customs as an international arrivals, where you will need to show your passport and collect your bags for customs clearance. Thereafter you re-check-in your bag for your flight to Greece. No Visa needed, but a valid passport.1039posted on Fri, Dec 9

Dec 3, 201112My daughter is bringing home mugs, steins, and shot glasses from her stay in Europe. Is it best to ship these back, put them in her carry on luggage or pack in a suitcase to be checked in?Jenposted on Fri, Dec 22 people like this post [ Like ]

Process of Brining in Items from BelgiumNov 30, 201101I am going to Belgium next week and will be shopping outdoor markets. Not planning on spending more than about $1000. I plan on checking an extra bag with my purchases. Does anyone know the process that will take place to go through customs and if this will be more problems than its worth.Terryposted on Wed, Nov 301 person likes this post [ Like ]

Connecting between different terminalsNov 30, 201112What idiot designed EWR such that the only way to move between terminals requires you to exit the secure zone and then go through security again? Given the tightly-spaced connecting flights airlines subject passengers to nowadays this airport design is the absolute height of stupidity! Well-designed (and well-run) airports do not have this glaring design flaw!DSposted on Tue, Nov 292 people like this post [ Like ]Before you call someone publicly an Idiot - ponder this: Airtrain stations are at Terminals A & B on Concourse level, post-security: At Terminal A close to gateway A2; at Terminal B close to gateway B2; at Terminal C the station is on Upper Level's center, at post-security.1039posted on Wed, Nov 30

Nov 15, 201110My daughter is flying in from Heathrow and is scheduled to arrive at LAX at 3:05 pm. Her connecting flight is Southwest and leaves at 5:25 pm. Is that enough time to clear customs and get on her flight?***posted on Mon, Nov 141. Presuming she arrives at the International terminal TBIT (or TB), she would have to get to Terminal 1 for Southwest. 2. On arrival, she needs to go through passport control, pick up her luggage, go through Customs clearance and then re-check-in her bag (making sure at Heathrow checkin that bags show all 3 airports on their tags) - count on 30-40 mins. 3.Thereafter she needs to exit TBIT and catch the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. - stopping at T4-8 and over to T1 - six stops - 15 minutes. At T1 she needs to go through security check again and up to her gate. (T1 has gates 1-14).MUCposted on Tue, Nov 15

WHY CAN'T YOU ENTER TERMINAL C WHEREVNov 6, 201100When approaching terminal C elite access line from customs, I attempted to go through and was told I had to go in where my gate was, as shown on my boarding pass. forget that i might've wanted to meet someone, or prefer a resaurant/shopping at another checkpoint, or that might gate might've changed since printing my boarding pass, or that the line was shorter where i was, where does security think that it's helpful to refuse someone to enter through whatever checkpoint they want? The security employee, not TSA, said she was told by her supervisor not to allow anyone past whose gate did not correspond to that particular checkpoint.jethroposted on Sun, Nov 6
