WHERE TO WAIT, HOW LONG TO GET THRU?Oct 26, 201110I'm picking up friends flying from London non-stop to DFW. Anyone know how long it takes for them to go through US Customs (I'm told they will do it at DFW) and where I wait to greet them? Thanx.dmsjrpposted on Tue, Oct 251. Garage Parking is located next to all five passenger terminals with available TollTag (an automated entry and exit) and free Terminal Link van service between terminals. Note that the Terminal D parking garage has separate entrances & exits for gates D6-D22 & D22-D40. 2. Your party needs to go through passport check, pick up luggage, and go through customs clearance. They should allow 30-45 minutes, depending on day (rush hour, holiday). Meet them at Arrivals near the information counter. 3. They will arrive at international Terminal D.MUCposted on Wed, Oct 26

Customs for connecting flightsOct 20, 201110We will be flying from Los Angeles LAX to WAW Warsaw, connecting through FRA Frankfurt. Two weeks later we fly from DME Moscow to LAX connecting through MUC Munich. Will we have to go through customs in either Frankfurt or Munich, or do we avoid it because we have a connecting flight and will stay in the international departure area? If customs is necessary, how much time should there be between flights?Joanposted on Thu, Oct 20All arriving passengers other than those of participating Schengen countries in Europe need to go through customs check. Unless you travel at holiday season count in 45 mins for this procedure to be on the safe side. Also, make sure that you will check in your bags with tags showing all Airport codes, for both ways, so that your bags arrive at your end destination.MUCposted on Thu, Oct 20

CustomsOct 19, 201110I am returning to US on Lufthansa 9280 iinto Washington DC at 3:00 p.m. and need to catch United Airlines 903 at 4:20 p.m. Will that be enough time to clear Customs and re-check my bags?Curiousposted on Tue, Oct 18Washington has 2 large airports: Reagan & Dulles. I presume you arrive at Dulles (code IAD). Note that all international arrivals are transported to the west end of the terminal for customs clearance. You need to retrieve your bags, go through customs, and re-check-in your bags. United is in both the C and D gates which states gate number (i.e., C17, B35 - look at your ticket. C gates are reached by underground Aerotrain, but D gates are reached by mobile lounge shuttle (gates D1-31. Time is of the essence. But you can make it. Prepare to exit your plane quickly.1039posted on Wed, Oct 19

Waiting time in customsOct 18, 201102We regularly travel with our 2 cats from Puerto Plata. Upon arrival I declare having animals and then proceed to get their papers checked. This is the point I complain about. We are put in the same line-up as everybody else who has to get their luggage checked. You really have a problem when a flight from Asia arrives at the same time where people have 4 or 5 suitcases on a cart that need to be checked. The custom's agents take their sweet time, chat up the travelers and it takes forever to get to the front. We usually have 2 hours to catch our connecting flight, but last time we just made it!! This is unacceptable! And then you get the rude comment that you should have left more time between flights! There are not enough agents available (we only saw 2 or 3) to check luggage in a busy airport like Toronto. Why is there not a separate line for people returning with pets?ggs44posted on Tue, Oct 182 people like this post [ Like ]

Time to clear immigrationOct 3, 201110I arrive from Frankfurt at 13:45 at EWR at Terminal B. Need to depart at 17:29 from Terminal C. How much time does it take to clear immigrations and customs and collect baggage? Can I make it in 1 hour : 45 minutes? Thanks for your answer in advance! SMShashiposted on Mon, Oct 3Yes you have enough time: After clearing immigration, you need to re-check-in your bag (make sure it is properly tagged with all 3 airport codes); this takes between 30-40 mins. Thereafter, take the frequently running Airtrain at TB on the Concourse level at post-security to TC on the upper level's center. Note that Concourse C has Gate areas C1, C2 & C3.MUCposted on Mon, Oct 3
