us customsJun 11, 201210i am travelling from sydney Aus to lax...then to denver then back to my home in Canada...do i need to clear US customs in LA, my connection is about 2-3 hoours to Denverrolyposted on Sun, Jun 101. On arrival at LAX you need to go (at Terminal B (TBIT) through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bags. Do make sure that your airlines will forward baggage to each segment of your flight. 2. Depending on which Airline you arrive at at LAX and which airline you will use to depart from, you may have to switch transfer among two of the eight LAX terminals. 3. If you arrive via Qantas Airlines, you arrive at Terminal 4 (T4), where you will be picked up by special shuttle to the TBIT (TB) Terminal for customs procedure. Thereafter, exit the terminal and take the the blue-marked LAX bus route A on lower arrivals level island in front of TBIT, under sign "LAX Shuttle Airline Connection", which runs every 12-15 mins, making its first stop at T4 to T8, over to T1, T2 & T3, before returning to TBIT. On arrival at LAX, look at the overhead screen to find your connecting flight & gate number. Gate numbers correspond to Terminals, i.e., T4 has gates 42-49, T3 30-39, etc. You have enough time for transfer.mojun12posted on Mon, Jun 11

what is airport id ?May 29, 201210Each Airport has a three-letter code. If you open www.ifly.com, you see on top under "Airport Search" 'Find an Airport': Type in the name of your desired Airport and it will show you the name & code. Once you know the code & you want to find Airport information (terminals, parking, etc.), you merely use www.ifly.com/[and code].tuapr12posted on Tue, May 29

fast lanes for electronic passportsMay 1, 201210i saw that there were some sort of electronic booths during my last international travel. I am traveling to mexico is there a faster lane or electronic service to expedite the security or customs long lines using the newer electronic passports?jkmv11posted on Mon, Apr 30Yes, a number of major Airports have already installed those electronic booths. I don't recall which ones, but read that you need to file an application - I think with the TSA - and pay for a year in advance for the clearance card, which entitles you to faster customs procedures.tumay12posted on Tue, May 1

U.S. CustomsApr 17, 201211We are flying from St. John's, NL (YYT) to Orlando, FLA (MCO) through Newark via United Airlines. Where do we go through U.S. Customs? Is it in Newark or in Orlando? I'd like to know in case we need to allow more time in Newark. ThanksNLROSSposted on Mon, Apr 161 person likes this post [ Like ]As YYT has no US Customs clearance, you need - on arrival at Terminal C of EWR - to go through passport check, pick up bags, go through Customs Clearance, and re-check-in your bag, before moving on to your connecting flight - that will take 30-45 mins. Look up your departing gate on the overhead screens and walk to your connecting gate - no transfer needed.tuapr12posted on Tue, Apr 17
