I'm flying in from London (via British Airways) and meeting my friends who are travelling from France (via Alitalia). I believe we are arriving at different terminals. Will be both have to go through customs? Where would be a good place to meet? I land about an hour before my friends do. Thanks!

Most likely you arrive at Heathrow Airport at Terminal 5, which is exclusively for British Airways, or at Terminal 3 where it shares with other airlines. Alitalia will come in at Terminal 4. You will have to pass non-Schengen (foreign) clearance, if your friend has an EU passport, can just pass at the Schengen exit to the unsecured areas of the terminal. As LHR is huge I suggest you open www.ifly.com/lhr and click on "Terminal Map" under QUICK LINKS - scroll down to the extensive text. The site will also list restaurants & shops.

  • Connecting from Terminal 3 to TGV train

We are arriving from Canada in Terminal 3 and need to get to the TGV train station which I understand is located between Terminals 2C-2D and 2E-2F.We need to take the CDGVAL shuttle. Can we do this in 1 hour

When arriving at CDG, note that from T3 both the RER & CDGVAL trains are just 300 meters, or a 5-minute walk, from the Terminal. Take the CDGVAL to T2: 2. At Terminal 2, under the common area linking halls 2C through 2F is Terminal 2's only RER & TGV railroad station. (I presume you need to head for Terminal 2C - do inquire at T3 information desk to make sure. One hour is tight, as you need to go through immigration/ customs clearance on arrival first.

You can be sure to get terrible service and rude wait staff, who don't seem to care for the traveler's business at the Mexican restaurant in Terminal B. Don't waste your time.

Where is currency exchange located in the airport?

At ORD, currency exchange & ATMs are in the arrivals area of the International Terminal 5, and ATMs are in the other domestic terminals.

  • Airport pre-clearance?
    Jul 9, 2012

Hi, I will depart from SJD to LHR on Aug 24th, with a connecting flight in DFW. Is it true that SJD has U.S. officials for pre-clearance, so that I do not have to go through immigration IN DFW? I only have 1h50 layover. Thanks in advance

Mexican airports so far have no U.S. pre-clearance; However, immigration/ customs clearance is only done for arriving passengers - meaning you need to clear at DFW - DFW has Terminals A through E. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/dfw and click on 'Terminal Map' under QUICK LINKS, then scroll down to the text to familiarize yourself with layout and connections. Your time should be sufficient for transfer.

  • Any dining outside security Termianl B

I have to pick up a minor child from an overseas flight arriving in Terminal B. I want to be there very early. Are there any resturants, bars, etc. outside of security where I have to meet the child?

I find only food courts and Starbucks--upper level. Don't know if food courts are outside of security. Information desk should be able to guide you. Note that Terminal B is used for international arrivals - it will take the child 35-45 mins to go through passport check, pick up bag, & go through customs clearance.

I'm flying late next month from London, England. I have to make a connection at Newark; I'm a little confused and scared about what will happen and what I have to do. Can anyone help? I would be greatly appreciated

Allow me to walk you through this process: 1. As an international arrival at EWR (Newark Airport), you need to go through passport control, pick up your bag, go through customs clearance - and (if continuing your journey) re-check-in your bag. You will be guided through these procedures by signs. 2. However, it is very important that you find out from your London departure airline (if continuing on another airline) if they will transfer your bags to your connecting flight at Newark. If they don't, you need to take your bag with you to the connecting terminal. 3. NOTE: All international arrivals, except those by United Airlines, arrive in Terminal B. United uses exclusively Terminal C which also has customs facilities. Some United flights also use Terminal A. Since I don't know your airline, your ticket and the overhead screens on arrival will show the Airline flight number, departure gate & time. 4. All three terminals have 3 gate areas, i.e., A1-A3, with corresponding gates. 5. If you need to transfer to another terminal, you need to take the AirTrain, which makes its continuous loop and serves the post-security area. Signs will direct you. Count on up to an hour for gate to gate transfer. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/ewr and click on "Terminal Map", under QUICK LINKS, then scroll down to the text and read details. Piece of cake - you can do it!

  • Verizon Store within jetBlue terminal?

  • Will I make this flight?

I am scheduled to get arrive from Syracuse at 21;00 (assuming no delays) and get my connecting flight to Manchester England at 22:16. I am disabled and can only walk slowly and am worried I will not make my Manchester flight...any advice is most welcome.

    1. Dulles Airport is not easy to get around. Its Main Terminal has connected Z gates. Thereafter the Midfield concourses follow as three separate buildings divided by A & B gates, C & D gates, and (gates under construction). Only A, B & C gates are connected by underground Aero Train, while D gates are served by shuttle bus near gate A6. Your ticket should indicate which gates you arrive at/ depart from, i.e., A6, B63, C14, D29 - also look on arrival at overhead screens for your departing flight number, gate & time. 2. Follow signs 'TO BAGGAGE CLAIM / GROUND TRANSPORTATION'; domestic arrivals at A, B or C gates should follow the AeroTrain sign. The train runs in a continuous loop from main terminal's post-security area at the center of the midfield concourses A/B & C/D and takes only minutes. Mobile lounge shuttle takes you to gates D1-32. If you feel that you need wheelchair assistance - contact your airline, or your flight attendant. You have enough time though to get on your own from gate to gate. Good luck!
