  • Wifi is terrible

Wifi is "available" throughout the terminal, but good luck actually using it. Took over 5 minutes to load a basic google page, then wouldn't go to any other sites. Tries in several different parts of the airport. Airports shouldn't have wifi available if it's not designed to actually work.

I don't really know where to begin. My husband and I stopped in to eat between flights. I ordered their chili and my husband ordered their warm salmon salad. The waitress began by telling us they were out of their only soup on the menu and their corn muffins which come with almost every meal. When the meal was delivered the chili was edible, but had cheez-whiz all on the top. My husbands WARM salmon salad came to the table freezing cold. When we asked the waitress about this she said we serve it cold. Your kidding, right? A salad that is advertised as being served WARM you actually serve COLD? When she brought it back to the kitchen we actually heard the chef say, I didn't even know it said warm on the menu. What ever happened to training your employees. I would highly recommend not eating there. They are disorganized and the food quality is horrible.

I was very disappointed with the mushroom cheese burger! The burger was burnt so bad I could not eat it! They were messing up orders as well.

  • Where to meet travelers with a layover
    Feb 10, 2014
Hi. I'm meeting a friend with a three-hour layover at LAX. Are there eating options that don't require going through security screening since I'm not traveling and therefore not a ticketed passenger?

The international terminal has a food court outside security.

I would suggest you meet up in the Arrivals Hall - in front of the information counter & find out which options are available. Food courts are in all of the terminals on the arrivals level, while most restaurants are within the secured areas of LAX's 9 terminals.

Actually, the food court in the International Terminal is on the departures level.

Just had the waitress from @&&&ll, in the Red Rocket restaurant. First of all it took her 13 minutes to take my order, then she served folks who sat after I did, before me. When 30 minutes later I asked if there was problem and I wanted the meal to Go as not to rush... Well she asked for money but still no food...then she proceeds to argue with me that she put the order I'm 1 minute after the others , not realizing that the actual cooking of said meal takeoff than 2 minutes. I did not take the order which almost 50 minutes later was still not ready ....AHH

  • terminal 7 and terminal 4 MAC cosmetics
    Jan 31, 2014
I would like to pick up some MAC cosmetics but I see there is only one MAC store in terminal 4. I am traveling from terminal 7. are there any other stores where I can pick up MAC cosmetics from terminal 7 or pre-order and pick up MAC goods from terminal 7? Thanks

I highly doubt a cosmetics store would be willing to deliver product to another terminal for you. If you don't have a few hours to make the trip to Terminal 4, you'll have to go without.

  • Shopping at DFS in Terminal 4
    Jan 17, 2014
I frequently fly in and out of terminal 5. When I have passsed through security and am in Terminal 5, am I able to get to Terminal 4 for shopping?

No, the tunnel between Terminal 4 and Terminal 5 has been closed for several years.

Sorry, for some reason I thought you were at LAX. But the answer is the same, Terminals 4 and 5 aren't connected beyond security.

very helpful. thank you for replying so quickly

I was ripped off at this store. Purchased a Desigual purse and wallet specifically for my trip to Italy. On week one, the handle started fraying and the zipper pull broke off. Week 2 the wallet's catch broke and in week 3 the purse's handle broke off completely. No returns or refunds after 3 months, so even though this was the first time I had used it because I kept it specifically for my trip, just because I had bought it just over 3 months prior, I was outside the return policy. I will never buy from this store again, even though I pass it on my weekly trips out of IAH, and I will definitely not buy Desigual again.

I recently flew out of Elmira airport on Delta and managed to stop by the small restaurant at the airport before boarding for a quick bite. I was prepared for just a mediocre sandwich at a high airport restaurant price. I was therefore surprised with a great sandwich, generous portion, made quickly, and served with a smile. This is not fine dining but, if you have a moment and need a quick food fix, … I would highly recommend this restaurant. It's a winner!
