Stopped for a layover here on the evening of Tuesday June 18th - I visited the US News and World Report in Terminal E. The lady working there was exceptionally friendly and had a great sense of humor - definitely appreciate the extra customer service and going above and beyond!

Every few months I come back to Jet Rock Bar & Grill near gate 30, because it is the only restaurant with service in that part of the airport. They never disappoint. If you like apathetic waitresses, agonizingly slow service and dry food, you will Love this place.

DO NOT EAT in the Chili's Too Airport restaurant! I picked up a horrible case of food poisoning there. I know it was there because it was the only food I had all day. It was from the house salad...too old and too warm. Not a fun way to end a vacation!

Arrive JFK - AER LINGUS 20JUN @ 1:15pm - Will I arrived on T4? Departing JFK - 20JUN @ 4:29pm - Will I depart from T7? Is there enough time to get from T4 to T7? Do I have to clear customs and go through TSA?

What airline are you flying to Phoenix?

I fly AER LINGUS from Dublin to JFK and then US AIRWAYS from JFK to PHX.

Watch out for the fat mexican bartender...he has worked there for 25 years and if you complain to him about your terible experences going through security he will call security on you. He is one of those guys that uses the power given to him by airport security to fuck people up for no reason He worked on 5-21-13 at 2pm...WATCH OUT FOR HIM

I saw some items in a giftshop the last time I was travelling at Hobby Airport in Houston. Is it possible, even though I will not be travelling and will not have a ticket/boarding pass, for me to visit any of the gift shops or businesses within the airport? Thanks

Unless they're outside security no, you won't be able to shop there.

  • My son has a stopover .. can I meet him?

My son has a 4 hour stopover tomorrow evening in Terminal 4. Ideally, I want to be able to meet him and have dinner together before he gets on his next flight. I'm just wondering if this is possible. I'm assuming that I won't be allowed to pass through security and go in without a ticket. If he comes out through security, are there any terminals where we can go sit down and eat without needing a ticket?

While the bulk of restaurants/bars are located in the secured areas of the JFK terminals, there are some available at pre-security. I suggest you open www.ifly.com/jfk, then click on "Airport Information", top left and on "Restaurants, Bars & Shops". Then click on any of the terminals and you find restaurants, etc. after shops (with details and map where to find them. (From Terminal to Terminal, take the 'Airline Terminals Train' serving pre-security areas.
