2 hours between Tom Bradley and..May 18, 201310I arrive from Sydney at LAX 9:30am at Tom Bradley and depart for quito, ecuador with United Air at 11:30am is this enough time?Samposted on Fri, May 17[ Reply ][ Like ]As an international arrival at LAX, you need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag. MAKE SURE that your first airline will transfer bags to your United connection - if not, you would need to take your bag along to your connecting terminal and check it in there. After customs clearance, exit Bradley Terminal and take the LAX bus Route A on lower arrival level island in front of each terminal, under sign 'LAX shuttle airline connection', which runs every 12-15 mins. Starting from Bradley, the next stops are at Terminals T4, T5, T6, T7 - taking 9-12 mins. United uses both T6 (gates 60-67) & T7 (gates 70-77). Note that on arrival at either T6 or T7 you need to go through security check before proceeding to your connecting gate. Your time should suffice.samay13posted on Sat, May 18

Montreal - IAD - Punta CanaMay 18, 201310we are a family of 4 flying from Montreal, Canada (YUL) to Punta Cana through Washington Dulles airport on July 21. Our YUL to IAD flight (#3475 by United Airlines) arrives at 7:48am. Second flight from IAD to Punta Cana (PUJ) (flight # 1661) departs at 8:53am. We practically have an hour to change the planes. How soon can I get info on Gate locations from United Airlines? Can I consider these 2 flights international? If yes, then I understand we do not have to claim our baggage and go through the customs. Am I right about this? Will one hour be enough for us to connect to our flight to Punta Cana? Thanks in advance***posted on Fri, May 17It is suggested that you arrive at YUL 3 hours prior to departure. You go through U.S. customs procedure at YUL, saving you time on arrival at IAD. Presuming that your connecting flight is also via United, your baggage will automatically be transferred at IAD. At IAD, United uses Concourses A, B, C & D with corresponding gates. The AeroTrain connects Concourses A, B & C, while C gates are connected by moving walkway to the D gates. One hour should suffice.samay13posted on Sat, May 18

Time btw T1 and T3 with checked luggageMay 17, 201320I will have to connect flying in from Houston with United Airlines and out to Waterloo (IA) with American Airlines 3005 at 7:55 pm. I will have luggage to check. Would UA 1575 arriving at 6:20 pm allow sufficient lay-over time, or should I take UA 1299 arriving at 5:09 pm to be on the safe side ?MOAposted on Fri, May 17Yes it would be a better idea to use UA for both flights, as baggage claim, re-check & going through security check would make it extremely tight.frmay13posted on Fri, May 17United does not fly to Waterloo, Iowa so it's not an option. You could however fly American for both flights. Taking UA 1299 would leave you plenty of time assuming everything runs on-time. If you book your tickets on one itinerary you can even have your bags checked through to waterloo in Houston.ZAPposted on Fri, May 17

Minimum layover timeMay 17, 201320Hi, I am flying Delta from San Francisco to JFK, arriving 8pm and then getting another Delta flight to Dublin at 9.30 pm. I think I arrive into, and depart from Term.4. I really need to get back that day, so I am getting worried that I won't make the flight. Will I have enough time to make the connection?ammcposted on Fri, May 17at JFK, LAX & SFO Delta flights are in Terminal 2 - meaning you need to take the 'Airline Terminals Train' to Terminal 4 (follow signs) and there go through security check before proceeding to your gate. Concourse A has gates A2-7, Concourse B gates B20-40. NOTE: First phase of major reconstruction of T4 opens with fanfare next Friday. However, it possible that the Delta Shuttle bus from T2 to T4, gate to gate (with no security check at T4) will already be in place. Either way you should be able to make your connection on time.frmay13posted on Fri, May 17

CLEAR CUSTOMS, CLAIM BAGGAGE, ETC.May 17, 201320HI YOU ALL, I`M FLYING SUNDAY MAY 19 FROM PANAMA, ARRIVING AT THE INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL, I SUPPOSE, AND CONNECTING TO MONTREAL. I HAVE 1:21 BETWEEN ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TO GO THRU CUSTOMS, CLAIM BAGGAGE, HAND IT OVER FOR CONNECTION. NOT SURE IF I HAVE TO PASS SECURITY CHECK TO TAKE THE OTHER FLIGHT AND IF I WILL HAVE TIME ENOUGH. WHAT DO YOU THINK?JFVposted on Thu, May 16ADDITIONAL INFO: FLYING DELTA ON BOTH LEGS. ARRIVAL TIME IS 1:24 P.M.JFVposted on Thu, May 16Your transfer time at ATL will suffice. After debarkation, passengers walk the corridor towards the escalators taking them to the Arrivals level, where they go through customs & Immigration, then proceed to the baggage claim area which has 7 carousels. (a) Connecting passengers recheck-in their bags by proceeding to the transit area past baggage claim and turning left to baggage recheck counters, then follow signs to Concourse F Plane Train station, which connects all concourses (with gates E, D, C, B, A & T).frmay13posted on Fri, May 17

Connection gates close enough?May 17, 201310Will I be able to make my Zurich to Rome connection within 60 minutes?Rotus0605posted on Thu, May 16The integrated Terminal at ZRH has Concourses A, B,, & E. While Concourse /Gates B/D are to the left, Concourse /Gates A are to the right, while the Skymetro takes you to Satellite Concourse /gates E. On arrival you need to go through 'non-Schengen' passport check before proceeding to your gate. Your time is very tight, but doable.frmay13posted on Fri, May 17

from tampaMay 17, 201340We will be arriving from Tampa on 5-18 on flight 1722 and will be leaving for El Paso on flight 4263 what terminals will these be at?kammiposted on Thu, May 16For the above they are United main for arriving flight and Express for El Paso flight. What terminals?kammiposted on Thu, May 16Your flight from Tampa will arrive in C or E and your flight to El Paso will depart from Terminal B. You can take the TerminaLink train between the terminals.ZAPposted on Fri, May 17There are 2 Tampa flights: at 1:06 & 3:37pm both at Terminal C (no C gate number given); there are also 2 El Paso flights: at 3:15, Terminal B gate 81A, and at 1:36pm at gate T-B 84E - meaning you arrive at Terminal C and will connect to Terminal B via the inter-terminal underground train OUTSIDE of security - on arrival at TB you need to go through security check before proceeding to your connecting B gate.frmay13posted on Fri, May 17

CostumesMay 17, 201310I will be flying from Panama (pty) to Dulles and the connecting Dulles- Rome on saturday 18th. I have 2 hours from one flight to the next. Since both are international flights I have to go through costumes in Dulles, pick up my bags and drop them off for connecting flights. Do you think Ill have time? Do I have to go through TSA security point as well?dmgposted on Thu, May 16At IAD, all international arrivals are being transported to the International Arrivals Building at the west end of the main terminal for TSA clearance: You need to go through passport check, retrieve checked bags, go through customs clearance and - if transferring to another flight - re-check-in bag. Therefore, you cannot use the AeroTrain, but need to take the Mobile Lounge shutttle to either gates D1-32 and H-gates. D & C gates are connected, for A & B gates you need to take the AeroTrain. No security check needed. Two hours transfer time will be enough.frmay13posted on Fri, May 17

PRG - JFK - DEN with 2h30min layoverMay 16, 201332Hi, I'm flying international from PRG to JFK Terminal 4 with DL211 which arrives at 16:30 and I need to catch 19:00 DL971 from the same terminal. Do you think 2:30 is enough to go through imigration, new second imigration SEVIS check, customs, check baggage and another security for domestic flight? Or should I look for another flights?p1gletposted on Thu, May 16Thanks for quick answer:) I have one more question, how does baggage re-checking work? Do I have to go to normal airline check-in counter or is there any other place to re-check?p1gletposted on Thu, May 16

Friend leaving from a different terminalMay 17, 201330Hi! I'm leaving from O'Hare and so is a close friend. We're trying to figure out how to stay together as long as possible before our flights. Mine leaves a few hours after hers, and I'm leaving from Terminal 3 while she's leaving from Terminal 1. Are either or both of these scenarios possible: 1) Can I check in at Terminal 3, she check in at Terminal 1, and can I walk to meet her at her gate after clearing security at Terminal 3? The terminals do connect after clearing security, right? OR 2) Can I check in at Terminal 3, drop my bags, then before going through security go with her to Terminal 1, where she can check in...? My real question is, can I go WITH her through security at her terminal (T-1) even though I've dropped my bags at Terminal 3? Thanks so much!CEG2013posted on Thu, May 16Either scenario works. However I think that 1 would be the easiest.ZAPposted on Thu, May 16Thanks so much! So you're positive that I can wait with someone at her gate who's leaving on a different airline in any of the three terminals (T-1, T-2, T-3)? United Airlines told me that each airline has its own gates cordoned off and that someone travelling on one airline can't wait at the gate with someone traveling on another. :P Is this not true (I'm hoping it isn't)?CEG2013posted on Thu, May 16

Catching qatar flightMay 16, 201310I have to travel from atlanta and catch qatar flight ar 11pm.can somebody guide me asto how to checking my luggage at iadNarendraposted on Thu, May 16So you're buying two separate tickets? It's quite simple, you book a flight that is scheduled to get into IAD before 8:30 PM, then when you arrive, go to the baggage claim in the main terminal, then when you get your baggage, take it upstairs to the departure level and the Qatar Airlines counter.ZAPposted on Thu, May 16
