  • Connection time LHR-ORD-MCO

I am looking to book a flight from LHR-ORD-MCO. My coonection time at ORD is 2 hours and 10 mins before my flight to MCO. Is this enough time to clear immigration/ customs and then security and baggage drop? Thanks in advance :)

Yes, that should be enough time.

Right now the gate information is showing that our United flight from YYZ to ORD is coming in to Terminal 5 - the International Terminal. Our connecting flight is with American Airlines and I have 62 minutes to make the connecting flight out of Terminal 3.....is this enough time and do we have to go through Security again?

Your flight from Toronto will not arrive in Terminal 5. You will go through US Immigration and Preclearance in Toronto. You will arrive in Terminal 1 or 2, likely 1. Is your booking on American separate or was it booked together? Will you have checked bags? You can walk between Terminals 1, 2, and 3, inside security, but if you have checked bags you will have to claim them from T1 and take them to T3 to re-check which will be difficult in the time you have.

The booking was together and we will not have checked bags.

Then just check in for your AA flight on AA.com before you leave Toronto, walk from T1 or T2 to T3, and board your plane, you should have enough time.

Hi, I am arriving in Dallas on a Qantas flight on Sunday 8th of March at 1:45pm from Sydney. I have a connecting flight to MKE 90 minutes latter. Is this possible? What are the crowds like on Sunday afternoons in March. First time visitor. Thank you

It's possible but it's certainly pushing it. People have reported that the immigration lines at DFW are getting pretty bad. You will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then go through security then take the skylink train to your departure terminal.

In May, I am flying from Boston on Delta to Cologne via Amsterdam. My layover is only 50 minutes. Do I have to go thru passport control or do I proceed immediately to my gate? I am not checking luggage.

Yes, you will have to go through passport control and security. This connection is still possible if your first flight is on-time but leaves very little time to spare if there is a delay.

Hi I'm flying airnz into TBIT at 12.30pm, and would like to fly Avianca to Guatemala City at 2.05pm from terminal 2. The tickets for the Avianca flight will be booked separately. Am I right in thinking this is far too tight? Many thanks, David

Yes, I think it would be very difficult.

  • YQB - PHL - BOS

Hullo I'll be flying from YQB to BOS in September with a 2hr layover in PHL. I'm an Australian citizen.Three part question: Will I go through immigration in PHL or BOS? Will I be claiming baggage between flights, and will two hours be enough time to make the connection? Cheers

In Philadelphia, you will go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then go through security and to your departure gate. 2 hours should be enough time.

Hi, I have a stop over in PHL coming from Munich an dgoing to Orlando. I just realized that I need to go through customs in PHL and get my luggage and check back in. If all goes according to the plan, I have 2:25 hours time. Would that be enough? Thanks in advance.

Yes, that should be enough time.

  • Internation-domestic 90 minute connection?
    Feb 27, 2015

Hi, I've booked a connecting ticket together through a travel agent from Taipei (eva air) to seattle and then have 90 minutes to clear customs, (pick up bags or are they transferred through to the next flight?) and take a domestic flight to Alaska on airliner. This is all around 730 pm. Sound impossible?

If you purchased your tickets together and your bags are tagged through to your final destination, then you can re-check your bags at the transfer desk after clearing customs in the S Satellite, then go through security and take the underground trains to your departure gate. you should have enough time.

  • Passport check before non-Schengen gates D

I will have to transfer from a non-Schengen flight (gates H) to a flight to Bucharest in a non-Schengen gate D27. I read there is a passport control before D gates, but can't find if it is also in the way to the downstairs non-Schengen D gates. Will I have to wait at the passport control for these gates? Thanks.

  • SFO-SEA then SEA-NRT (Narita)-Singapore (1 hr 7 min layover)

Both SFO-SEA (arriving 11:35 AM) and SEA-NRT (departing 12:42 PM) flights are with Delta. Do we have enough time to make it to the international flight? I suppose we can check through (SEA-NRT-SG) our luggage at SFO, right? Many thanks!

Yes, that should be plenty of time. All you have to do in Seattle is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You should not have to touch your baggage again until you get to Singapore.

  • Terminal C and F connections

I'm planning a trip from YWG to IAH in March and we have only an hour to make a connection arriving at C and leaving from F - Terminal 1 to 2, I think - is this enough time or am I rolling the dice on making this connection - it would be the last flight out to IAH that night.

That should be enough if the first flight is on-time. All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate and T1 and T2 are connected inside security. There's also a good chance both gates will actually be in Terminal 1.

Hi. So i'll be flying to LAX from MSP then flying from LAX to Ixtapa, Mexico. My layover is 1hr 20 minutes. Both my flights are Delta Airlines and all that I will have is a carry on. Can I make it if my flight is on time? Sincerely, Never flown internationally

All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate, both in Terminal 5, on your way to Ixtapa. you should have plenty of time if your first flight is on-time.

    Thank You!

  • Connecting flights

Hi I'm not from the USA. I'm flying from CRW to EWR on march 7th and have to change planes at IAD, I have 40 minutes to change. Will that be enough? And do you know if the arrival gate and departure gate will be in the same terminal? Next question: on march 15th I'll fly from BRU (Belgium) to CRW and have to change planes again at IAD, this time I will have 2,5 hours. Will that be enough to go trough immigration (- non US residence) and catch my plane? All flights are with United Airlines. Thank you so much!

IAD only has one terminal. 40 minutes is barely enough time if your flights are located on different concourses. It should be plenty of time if they are on the same concourse. There's a good chance both flights will be in concourse A. yes, 2.5 hours will be plenty of time to go through US Immigration for your flight from BRU.

Hi, I'll be flying YVR to LAS with a connection in LAX (2h 12m) and on the return trip, same route, connection time 1h 50m All on Delta. Will I have to go through customs in LAX? Is this enough time? Thanks!

Oh, and all carry on. No checked bags! Thanks!

You will not go through Customs in LAX on either route. On your way to LAS you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver. On your way back you will go through Canadian Immigration in Vancouver. You should have enough time

I am flying Vancouver-Minneapolis-Hartford, all on delta. I have 63 minutes in Minneapolis. Is this enough time to get through customs?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Vancouver. All you have to do in MSP is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. You have enough time.
