  • BUD to FCO to DBV

From Budapest we are flying Wizz Air getting to FCO terminal 2 at 12:05pm. We are NOT checking luggage, we're only bringing carry-on luggage. From there we need to get to terminal 3 for our 1:50pm flight to Dubrovnik. When getting from from T2 to T3 will we need to go through security or customs or anything again? Is this enough time to get to our next flight?

Never been to SFO and I am flying from MSN-ORD-SFO-TPE. What do I do when I arrive in SFO.

Assuming your flight to TPE is on United, all you have to do in SFO is walk from your arrival gate in Terminal 3 to your departure gate in concourse G of the International Terminal. There is a walkway inside security between those two areas. So all you have to do is walk from one gate to the other.

Thank you! Are my only dealings with customs and immigration in TPE or do I have to do something in SFO?

Correct, on your way to Taipei you won't have to do anything with your bags or go through any immigration proceedings until you get to Taipei.

  • Enough time to make my connection

I have a UK passport and will be arriving on a BA flight from LHR on 11 Sept at 17.05. I have an Alaskan flight for Portland departing at 19.00. Will I have enough time to make this flight - and what is the best way to transfer between the arrival and departure terminal. Will I have to collect my luggage and check in again with Alaskan? Many thanks for your help.

You will arrive in the S satellite, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, and go through US Customs. Then if your bags are tagged through to Portland you can re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then go through security and take the underground trains to your departure gate in the C, D, or N concourse.

Many thanks for that reply. Do you think I will have enough time to make the connections bearing in mind it is international transferring to domestic?

Hey, I have a flight next week from London Heathrow to Columbus with 1 stop in Charlotte. Im spanish living in London, but still with spanish passport. Do I have to go through Us immigation and claim my bags then check them again and go get my plane.. in 1 hour and 20 minutes that I have? Its my first time stopping in another city, Im very lost. Need some help please, Thank you.

    Travelling with US airways.

Yes, upon arrival in Charlotte you will go through US Immigration, claim your baggage, go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk. You will then go through security and to your departure gate. Be sure to complete ESTA before your trip. 80 minutes is 10 minutes below the minimum recommended time for an international to domestic connection.

I'll just run! Hope to have enough time to do it all. Thank you very much for your help x

  • International flight

My parents are flying into ORD Terminal 5 from Dubai. After clearing immigration and customs they have to board a delta flight to MSP. Question is - can they check in their luggage to MSP without having to move from terminal to terminal carrying their luggage? Just a little worried since they are older and might not have guidance at ORD.

If they purchased their tickets together they can re-check their bags at the transfer desk in T5. However, Delta does not have staff in T5 to re-check bags not tagged to their final destination, so if they did purchase two separate tickets they will have to take them on the ATS train to T2. It's fairly easy to navigate. Once they exit customs they just need to follow the signs to the ATS Train and Terminal 2 - the symbol for Terminal 2 is a 2 inside an orange square. When they arrive in T2, pretty much the only check in counter left is for Delta.

Thank you for the quick response. Much appreciated. Unfortunately we have 2 separate tickets. Since they fly internationally they have 2 big sized bags each. I am concerned that they have to take the ATS carrying 4 bags. The other alternative is to skip the flight to MSP and me just drive to pick them up from ORD and make the drive back. What are your thoughts?

There are elevators and escalators on the way to and from the ATS Train. As long as your parents aren't very elderly I think they will be OK. However, if they each have two large bags the bag fees alone to MSP on Delta will be $120, assuming all of the bags are under 50 lbs each. So maybe it's worth it to drive because of that.

  • 1 hour connection time BCN to AMS to SEA
    Mar 28, 2015
    1
I read that effective June 1, 2015 AMS will no longer have security checks at the gates. I am a U.S. citizen traveling post-cruise on 10/2015 on KLM from BCN to AMS, connecting on Delta to SEA. Will my baggage be checked through? I am confused about Schengen/non-Schengen/International procedures. Will one hour be sufficient to go through new security check points in time to make Delta flight to U.S.?

Yes, that should be enough time. Your baggage will be checked through. You will go through Schengen exit passport control (a very quick process).

  • Running?

Arriving at Terminal 1 at 8:15 a.m. on a weekday morning in April. Connecting flight leaves at 9:15 a.m. from Terminal 2. Is this enough time to make the connection without running? How does one change terminals, here?

Yes, that should be plenty of time if the first flight is on-time. There is a walkway inside security between T1 and T2. Also, note that many United Express flights leave from Terminal 1.

    Thank you!

  • how long will I need from International terminal to terminal 5

Hi everyone, I will be arriving to LAX ─▒nternational terminal with Turkish Airlines at 4:30 PM (hopefully!!!)... My next flight is with Delta Airlines at terminal 5 at 6:50 PM.. Will this time gonna be enough for me to collect the luggage, pass through security and passport and walk to terminal 5??? I really cannot miss this flight:((((( Thank you for your help...

If you purchased two separate tickets and your Turkish flight is late or there is long lines at Immigration, it will be difficult for you to get your bags to T5 before the baggage cutoff. If you purchased your tickets together that should be enough time.

I purchased them separately:(((( Last time I arrived Lax from Turkey, it was not very crowded... Guess I will need to run:((( Thank you soo much...

My domestic flight (Southwest airline) arrive in Tacoma airport on 10:30am. My next international flight (Korean airline) departing on 2:15pm. I need to claim the baggage and check the baggage for my international flight. Do I have enough time????

Yes, that should be enough time. Everything is in the same Terminal building so after you claim your bags you'll just have to find your way to the Korean check-in desk.

  • TERMINAL C TO B

Hi - we are arriving from Turks and Caicos off United Airlines (terminal c) and have an onward flight to london on Virgin from terminal b. The united flight arrives at 6pm and the virgin flights leave at 1030pm but check in closes at 9.15pm. So we have 3 hours to transfer. Do we have to go through USA immigration again and customs only to check in again or is there a transit system? what is the easiest way to get between terminals with kids/bags? many thanks!

Yes, you will have to go through US Immigration and Customs when you arrive in Newark. The terminals are connected via the AirTrain. You should have enough time.

  • Munich Flight to SFO

I will be going from Munich (Luftansa) to SFO and landing in SFO at 7:00pm. My United flight from SFO to Orange County is at 8:30pm. Will I have enough time to clear customs/immigration and make flight??

That will likely barely be enough time assuming your first flight is on-time.

I am flying in from Madrid to LAX on Iberia, then need to catch a connecting flight to Oakland. Is three hours enough to clear customs and get over to the Southwest terminal? It will be a Friday evening...not sure if that matters.

Yes, that should be enough time. Note that you will have to transfer your bags yourself to Terminal 1. It's fastest to walk from the International Terminal to T1 vs. taking the bus. Follow the signs for passengers exiting LAX when you clear customs, then exit the International Terminal and walk to your left (against the flow of traffic) until you get to Terminal 1.
