I arrive at DFW at 19.35 from London and my plane for LBB leaves at 21.10. I am a norwegian student and will be returning to the states on J-1 visa after spending the christmas at home. Is this enough time?

  • Oaxaca, Mexico to Calgary, Canada with a layover in Houston

I am flying from Oaxaca to Houston tomorrow where I land in Terminal E and then carry on with my connection to Calgary, Canada from Terminal C. Since this is an international flight will I have to re-check my bags and go through customs in Houston? Also, is an 1.5 hour lay over enough time to change terminals. Thanks

You will have to go through US Immigration and Customs. However, the policy is that since you are on an International to International connection, you will not have to claim your bags in Houston. However, please confirm that with the United agents in Oaxaca and Houston.

Also, you should have enough time but do not have much to spare in case of delays.

Thanks so much for the help!

  • Santorini - AMS - MSP

I will be flying from Santorini, Greece to AMS via Transavia. Scheduled to arrive at 3:10pm. Departing AMS to Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, USA via Delta at 5:00pm. Will this be enough time for a layover at AMS? It looks like both Transavia & Delta fly out of the main terminal. Will we have to go through customs? Thank you.

You will not have to go through customs upon arrival as both Greece and the Netherlands are in the Schengen Area. However, you will have to claim your bags as Transavia and Delta do not have an interline baggage agreement. You will then have to take them to the Delta counter to re-check. You will have very little time to do this, even if your flight from Santorini is on-time as you will then have to go through schengen exit passport control and security.

  • Connection from terminal B to E

We have a 40 min. connection time on 12/25. Looks like we will arrive in terminal B, and then depart from terminal E. How long does it take to go from B to E? Worried that we won't make it...

The TerminaLink train connects all terminals inside security. You have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

Is there a way to go from Terminal C to Terminal A to make a connecting flight without having to clear security again? I have a short connection and want to find the fastest way to get to the second gate.

Yes, the TerminaLink train connects all terminals inside security.

  • I have enough time?

On 25 dic I land in IAH at 14.25 from Paris(Air France) with a connecting flight to Mexico City at 16.10 (Aeromexico). Ticket is issued from Delta. Is that enough time to make the connecting flight? Will my checked luggage go through directly or do I have to claim it and go through security? What terminal do I arrive in and what terminal do I leave from? Thank you.

Both your flights will be in Terminal D. You will likely have to claim your luggage to go through customs then re-check it after customs at the transfer desk, but ask the Air France agent upon arrival. You should barely have enough time.

  • Re-checking bags

I am comming flying LHR - MIA - CUR, all with AA flights, with only a 2,5 hour Connection in Miami, but I still cannot find a traight answer if I need to recheck bags in Miami. On their own webpage Miami Airport it states that it depends on airline,, most internet pages I've visited say that I need to re-check my bags, even a traveller in december, posted in skytrax. Who has updated info, which I can trust, do I need to recheck bags in Miami or will they go all the way through. Cheers

On AA, the policy is that on International to International connections through Miami you don't have to. However, be sure to check with the AA agents in Miami and London to make sure.

  • United connecting flights- 52 min layover
    Dec 22, 2014

My arriving and departing flights are both with United, arriving from Houston - IAH and departing for Honolulu - HNL on the 29th. Should the terminals be the same and should I be worried about a 52 minute layover?

Both flights will be in Terminal 7 or Terminal 8 which are basically two wings of the same building, connected inside security. You have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

I have a 1hr 59min connection time arriving at 7:15am from Lima going to Seattle. Is this sufficient time to access customs and recheck bags? Thank you.

Should note that I am flying United throughout. Thanks

Yes, that should be enough time. You will arrive in Terminal E and likely depart from Terminal C.

  • WestJet Toronto arr. TD to Virgin American TB C6

Hi! I'm arriving at terminal D from Toronto WestJet flight to take a flight on Virgin America to DAL from terminal B gate C6. I have 1hr 45 min. What is my best option for getting from TB to TD? I am a Nexus flyer so can pass through security quickly. I guess I will have to get luggage and then check luggage since it's a different airline...suggestions?!

Shuttle route A or B will take you from Terminal D to Terminal B. They run outside security along the curbfront. Yes, WestJet and Virgin America do not have an interline agreement so you will have to collect your bags from Westjet and re-check them with Virgin America. NEXUS does now allow you to use faster security lines, however, security lines at LGA TB are generally short. You have barely enough time if your first flight is on-time.

I am flying in from Austin tomorrow on DL 686 and flying back out to MSP DL 2087. I have 37 minutes between them. Will I have enough time to make my connecting flight?

Yes, that is enough time if your first flight is on-time. The Plane Train connects all concourses inside security.

  • Baggage Claims

I am flying in from RDU (DELTA) on Friday and I am wondering what the closest way to get to baggage claims. I have trouble (knees) with walking long distance. I did this same route on Delta as well last year and it seemed like it took forever to get to baggage claims. Any suggestions?

The only route to the baggage claim is via the Plane Train. Delta uses about 100 different gates at ATL so it can vary significantly the distance you will have to travel to baggage claim. If you have a lot of trouble walking you can call Delta and request wheelchair service.

Hi, we arrive tomorrow at ORD at 1:37pm with flight UA616 coming from San Francisco and go to take flight UA944 departing at 2:15pm going to Frankfurt. Transfer time is thus 38 min. Is it possible to catch this flight and will the checked luggage follow? Do we have to go through security and passport check? Thank you

All you have to do is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate which will both be in Terminal 1. You have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

Do we have to go through security checkpoint each time we change terminals? We have access to the wing tips lounge in Terminal 4 but our flight leaves out of terminal 7.

Yes. The only terminals that are connected inside security are 2 and 4 (by a shuttle bus).

Hey I am travelling from dallas to orlando and have a stopover in atlanta, is a 1h 5m stopover enough time to transfer from T1 to TS

Atlanta doesn't have a T1 or TS. All you have to do in Atlanta is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate via the Plane Train, which connects all concourses inside security.
