  • Bari to Rome Rome to Marseilles changing airlines

We are flying Ryanair from Bari to FCO arriving 7:20 and changing for flight on Iberia at 9:25 to MRS. Tickets purchased separately. Will we make the transfer in time? We will have probably have checked luggage. Also, my husband get wheelchair assistance. Thanks

Iberia doesn't fly from Rome to Marseille. Are you flying Vueling? You should have enough time. Checked luggage will make it a bit tighter but it should be possible, since all flights are within Schengen.

How much time do we need to arrive at FCO airport to get off train, check in, and process through customs to catch a 12:15 pm flight to US. We will be traveling by train from Naples to FCO.

Plan on arriving at the airport at about 9:45 or 10 AM.

Hey, I'm flying with American Airlines from YEG-DFW-SAL roundtrip. When I land in DFW, do I need to claim baggage or through any screenings?. I have a 5 hour overlay so I think time is good but I'm concerned with my return flight I as arrive in DFW from SAL 1:47 and depart at 3:20pm back to YEG. Do I have to go get my baggage and go through US Immigration and Customs?.

On your way to San Salvador you will pre-clear US Immigration and customs in Edmonton. All you have to do in Dallas is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. The SkyLink train connects all terminals inside security. On your way back, yes, you will have to go through US Immigration, Customs, and Security but should not have to claim your bags since you are on an international to international connection.

Coming into the us from a Caribbean country, do I go thru customs in Atlanta or my final airport?

You will go through US Immigration and Customs in Atlanta, unless you are coming from Nassau, Freeport, Bermuda, or Aruba, in which case you will go through US Immigration and Customs on the island and your arrival into Atlanta will be like a domestic flight.

There is no "gate 2". All gates at CLT are connected inside security.

Hello, My wife and will be flying DXB - DFW on Emirates and then a 2 hr layover before a our Delta flight to MSP. We have Global Entry and TSA PreCheck and no checked baggage. We should have plenty of time correct?

Yes, that should be enough time. Check in online before you leave dubai for your Delta flight and then you can go through security in Terminal D and take the Train to Terminal E. Otherwise you will have to take the shuttle bus to Terminal E which is much slower.

I'm flying out of Toronto going to Mexico, with a 1hr 9min layover in Dallas - is this enough time? Do we need to go through US customs, claim & recheck our bags, etc.? Both flights are with US Airways. Our return trip is another layover in DFW with 1hr 40mins. - will there be a longer delay coming from Mexico?

Note that both of your flights will be operated by American Airlines. On your way to Mexico you will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Toronto. All you have to do in Dallas is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate. All terminals are connected inside security by the SkyLink Train. You have enough time. On your return, in Dallas, you will go through US Immigration and Customs and security but should not have to claim your bags since you are on an international to international connection. You should barely have enough time there. You will go through Canadian Immigration and Customs when you get to Toronto.

  • 43 min layover enough flying Delta from JFK to Savannah?
    Apr 23, 2015

This may be a stupid question, but I really never fly-- I have a Delta flight from Pittsburgh that connects at JFK, flying to Savannah. We arrive at 1:12 and depart at 1:55. We wil not have any checked bags. Is 43 minutes enough time to make our connection to Savannah? Thank you!

If your flights are both in the same terminal you should be okay. But find out what Delta's boarding requirements are. You often have to be at the gate 15 mins or more before departure time

That's enough time if your first flight is on-time. Both flights will probably be in Terminal 4.

Hello, I will be flying back to the USA from Oslo and I have a hour and 35 minute layover to make my connecting flight, all with Delta (KLM). Is this enough time? Do I have to go through passport control? Thank you

Yes, that is plenty of time. You will go through schengen exit passport control, which is very brief.

  • Connections: AA - Heathrow to Dallas to Chattanooga
    Apr 23, 2015

I am a US citizen flying on AA a direct flight from Heathrow to DFW . This ticket was purchased by my work. When I arrive at DFW, I would like to take an AA connecting flight to Lovell Field Chattanooga, TN and I will purchase this ticket. My flight arrives at DFW at 4:30 and the connecting AA flight to Lovell Field Chattanooga departs at 6:35. I will have one check on piece of luggage and a carry on bag. Is there enough time for me to make the connecting flight? Can you please provide instructions on how I should let AA know that Chattanooga is my final destination and the procedures once I land at DFW to make the connecting flight to Lovell Field Chattanooga?

If you show your DFW-CHA confirmation to the AA agent in London they should be able to tag your bag through to CHA and issue your DFW-CHA boarding pass. In DFW, you will arrive in Terminal D, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then go through security and take the SkyLink train to Terminal B where your flight to CHA will depart.
