My son plans to arrive on Air France from Barcelona at 8:40 in Terminal 2F. His American Airlines flight back to the US leaves 2A at 11:00. He will not have checked luggage but will have to go through passport control. Do you think he can make this connection?

  • 1hr 14 min connection

Hi - Before I book this flight I wanted to ask if I will have enough time to connect. Flight is from Fort Myers to LGA via Delta, the next flight is 1 hr 14 min also Delta but operated by WestJet. I am not sure if we will have to go to a different terminal? No checked bagged only carry on. Thanks

You will arrive in Terminal C or D and depart from Terminal D. C and D are connected by a walkway inside security. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.

  • Transfer at LAX

Arrived at gate on UA99 from Melbourne Australia 19 April 2015 at 06:00, 45 minutes early. US Customs not ready held at gate for 10 minutes. Had a great experience for a change, in the past had taken two and a half hours to get through immigration. Was outside TBT at 6:30, 10 minutes walk to Terminal 7. Only one person checking boarding passes etc at security, queue was stretched to outside the terminal. Paid United for priority access, no use for security. Only bad part of transit. This took 25 minutes.

  • Concourse E and Baggage Recheck
    May 2, 2015

I will be flying DXB-ATL-NYC next month and had a question about rechecking my bags at Hartsfield for my connecting flight. If my flight arrives at Concourse E, do I still claim my bag at Concourse F baggage claim, or is there a separate baggage claim at the CBP station on Concourse E? Thanks so much!

E and F basically share an immigration hall. Your bags will be in the hall you are funneled to.

I am on a United flight from Chicago ORD, connection to Halifax YHZ . I arrive at 9:24 and connection departs at 10:00 am. Flight is AC 8894 X. Is this possible?

Note that both flights are United. Yes, that should be enough time if your first flight is on-time.

Sorry, disregard that past post, where are you connecting?

I bailed out. Called United and complained that it was unlikely I would make it. ....so free of charge they rebooked me San Diego, LAX to Newark EWR on to Halifax.. Score one for United.

I am a U.S. Citizen, flying into T7 on a Friday on a BA flight from LHR, scheduled to land at 1:55pm. I have booked a separate ticket on Delta, departing at 4pm out of T4 for California. I understand that it is a very tricky time slot, especially with customs, immigration, and baggage claim. What is the clearance time for immigrations, baggage claim, and customs on Fridays at this time? What is the quickest way for me to get to T4. I plan on checking in online for the Delta flight and dropping bags off at a counter as they'll already be paid. I am also first class, will this help speed my TSA time? Cabin doors close at 3:45. Is there a possible way to check my bags through to FAT or any recommended ways to make this transfer as quickly as possible?

You will barely have enough time if your first flight is on-time. The AirTrain connects T7 and T4. Yes, having first class will give you priority through security. Your bags will be checked through to FAT in JFK. Just run and you can make it.

  • Concourse C to Gates A or S in one hour?
    May 1, 2015

Hi: I'm arriving in Seattle on Alaska Airlines from Boise, and it looks like the flight usually arrives at Concourse C. We have one hour before our Delta flight departs to Paris (S or A gate; Flight 3653 has used both). We are carrying on baggage. The flights are on the same itinerary, and since Alaska and Delta are partners, I asume we will get boarding passes for Delta in Boise. Is an hour enough time to get to the Delta flight? Do we walk from the C gate to A or S, or take a train? Thanks!

Yes that should be enough time and Alaska should be able to issue both boarding passes in Boise. You can walk from C to A. You have to take a train to S.

    Great! Thank you!

  • Shuttle between Terminals
    May 1, 2015

I am trying to arrange car service for two passengers who are arriving into two different terminals within 35 minutes of each other. The first passenger is arriving on All Nippon Airways and the second is arriving on Korean Airlines. Is there an airport shuttle that can take the first passenger from All Nippon Airways terminal to the Korean Airlines terminal?

    What airport?

JFK Airport - Terminal 7 passenger needs to get to Terminal 1. If there is a shuttle, is there a charge?

The AirTrain connects all Terminals outside security and is free for use between Terminals.

    Thank you!

  • AA domestic to Lan-best route?
    May 1, 2015

We travel tomorrow from Vegas to MIA on AA landing in D, then fly Lan to EZE. What is the fastest way to get from D gates to J? And we will need to get Lan tix at a counter. We're TSA pre but I don't know if Lan has that info for when they give us our tix-advice on navigating the airport appreciated! we have abt 2 hours.

That will be tough if your first flight is late at all. You basically have to walk from D to J and you will probably have to bring your bags with you because it sounds like you have two separate tickets.

thanks for the quick response! So do we land in D, and take moving walkways to H where we tickt for Lan? We only have carry on and are flying in biz on LAN if that might help...

Is one hour and 45 minutes enough time to get from Terminal 5 Delta to Terminal 2 Virgin Atlantic, We will need to get our luggage in Terminal 5 and check in at the Virgin Atlantic Counter. Flying First Class so check in should be a little shorter. at VA counter.

Yes, that should be enough time if your first flight is on-time.

Hi, I will arrive on a Virgin Atlantic flight (from London) in Terminal 4 on 15:25 (July - Friday) I'll have to catch a Jet Blue flight to Buffalo in Terminal 5 on 18:59. Do you thing that three and a half hours are sufficient time to collect languages , go through customs and recheck languages for Jet Blue flight ?

Yes, that should be enough time. You can get from T4 to T5 on the AirTrain.

    Thank you !!

  • Enough time for connecting flight?

I'm flying from Amsterdam to Rome, arriving FCO at 20:55 (T1) and I have a connecting flight to Rio de Janeiro departing at 21:45 (T3). I will have checked luggage and I'm EU citizen. Can I make this connection? How are the terminals connected?

Did you purchase your tickets together or separately? They are connected. If tickets were purchased together, All you have to do is follow signs to your departure gate. You will go through Schengen Exit passport control on your way.

Thank you! I think they are purchased together (the company booked them), because they have the same booking number. Both also have Alitalia flight numbers.
