  • From MAN to ZAG, stopped 40min @ MUC, is this enough???
    Mar 29, 2015
Hi, I'm flying on 17.04. from Manchester to Zagreb wtih stop in MUC. Flights are LH2503 by LH and LH5998 by Croatia Airlines. This is booked by my company on Lufthansa and it is obvious lufthansa suggestion if you check on LH web. Is 40 min enough to make a connection between flights with only backpack and without checking any bag in. Thanks in advance. Damir

It's probably enough. Munich isn't as big as Frankfurt and you won't be entering the Schengen area so no passport control. It depends on the first flight being on-time though.

  • MAD --> FCO --> MXP
    Mar 29, 2015
I'm thinking of purchasing a ticket from MAD to MXP via FCO, all operated by Alitalia. I have 65 minutes to make my connection in FCO. Is this enough time? I'm a little worried because this is the last flight from FCO to MXP for the day, and I have a flight booked on another airline/ticket the following morning out of MXP that I can't miss.

Also, I don't expect to check bags, BUT if Alitalia forces me to check my luggage, will my luggage make it to my connecting flight (to MXP)?

That should be enough time if your first flight is on-time, but as you may know, Alitalia isn't exactly known for being punctual. Both flights will be in Terminal 1 and it should be a very simple connection.

  • 1hr 40mins Layover... Is that enough
    Mar 29, 2015
I am arriving at Chicago ORD Terminal 5 from Dublin (Aerlingus) at 13.50 my connecting flight to Dallas Fort Worth with United Airlines is at 15.30 in Terminal 2. Is 1hr 40 mins enough time to get to my connecting flight or will I end up missing my flight? I fly in November.

If your tickets were purchased together that should be enough time. You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. All you have to do is take the ATS Train from T5 to your departure terminal (check your departure gate first, many DFW flights, even on United Express leave from Terminal 1) and then go through security.

It was all booked together through aer lingus. Do I need to go through customs in Chicago at all? Is it just a matter of rechecking my bag? Thanks for your help. I was in a bit of a panic

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. Your arrival into Chicago will be like a domestic flight. You don't have to do anything with your bag.

That is great news. Thanks for all your help. Hopefully it will all work out.

  • Is the time connecting between c and e terminals
    Mar 29, 2015
Is there enough time to connect on a domestice arrival on United in terminal C and leaving on an International flight on United in terminal E with only 40 minute connection time.

That should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. You can walk directly from C to E.

How long is the walk. Worst case scenario.

    15 minutes worst case scenario

  • Connecting flight FCO -
    Mar 29, 2015
I arrive at FCO (Terminal 3) on 2 June at 12:10 in the afternoon and need to catch the connecting flight to London at 13:30. This only gives me an hour and 20 minutes to make my way through security and to the gate for boarding. I will have no luggage though and I'm hoping this will be enough time to make it there - can anyone advise if this will be enough time? Don't want to miss my flight!

That should be enough time if both flights are on Alitalia. However, it's hard to answer your question without knowing what airlines you are flying.

I have a flight from Ireland into Terminal E with a connection on JetBlue to Seattle in Terminal C. Aer Lingus says they will check my bags all the way through to Seattle. In Boston will I need to go through customs or any security gates?

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Ireland. In Boston you will have to go through security in Terminal C.

So I'm hoping to buy some Irish liqueur in the Irish airport to bring back to Seattle so it will be carry on. Since I have to go through security again in Boston will this not be possible?

    Correct, that won't be possible.

If you want to buy some liquor in Ireland, buy it at a regular store and put it in your checked baggage.

Hi, I will be flying from CLT to DEL (via JFK & DXB) on Jetblue B6218 arriving JFK 12:37 PM and then Emirates EK 208 departing 14:30 at Terminal 4. I have connection time of 3 hr and 50 minutes at JFK but as I have never been to JFK so I have few queries: a-) I booked my tickets through Emirates so assuming that I need to check in my luggage at CLT (at Jetblue counter )and will get my luggage at final destination only. No need to recheck in the luggage at JFK. Please suggest b-) From where I need to collect Emirates boarding pass for JFK-DXB and DXB-DEL? Will it be at Emirates check in counter or Will I get all boarding passes at CLT by JetBlue? c-) From CLT I will be landing at Terminal 5 and then I need to come to terminal 4 via Airtrain to catch my international flight but where do I need to go through security check? I know one will be at CLT but before entering terminal 4 at JFK do I need to go through security again? d-) where will be Emirates Check in counter on terminal 4? In case if I need to collect my emirates boarding pass then I may need to contact Emirates check in desk. e-) Where I need to deposit my I94? Will it be at Emirates check in counter or at jetblue counter at CLT? Thanks in advance and for your patience to go over lots of questions from me.

Since you booked all your tickets together, JetBlue may be able to issue you all your boarding passes in Charlotte. If not just go to the Emirates desk in Terminal 4 and you can get your boarding passes there. Yes, you will have to go through security in Terminal 4 at JFK. Paper I-94 forms are no longer used, Emirates will report your exit from the US to the US Immigration authorities. However, if you were given a paper I-94 when you entered (for example if you entered a long time ago), you may still want to give the form to the Emirates agent when you board your flight to Dubai.

  • München -EWR-San Juan
    Mar 29, 2015
Hi. We arrive in terminal B from München, and have 1 hour 40 minutts to the next plane leaves in terminal C. (Bort flights are United) Do we have enough time? We need to go through costume border protection.

You will arrive in Terminal B or Terminal C, go through US Immigration, claim your bags, go through US Customs, then re-check your bags at the transfer desk, then if you arrived in Terminal B you will take the AirTrain to Terminal C then go through security and to your departure gate. You will barely have enough time if your first flight is on-time. There will be no additional immigration procedures upon arrival in San Juan because Puerto Rico is an American possession and considered part of the United States for travel purposes.

  • DUB-EWR (Connecting in PHL)
    Mar 29, 2015
Hi - Flying from Dublin into EWR with a 2 hour 5 minute connection in PHL. Will we have to collect our bags and re-check them in before travelling from Terminal A to Terminal F? All booked on same itinerary. First flight is operated by US Airways and connecting flight is operated by "Air Wisconsin dba US Airways Express"

You will pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. All you have to do in Philadelphia is take the shuttle bus from your arrival terminal to Terminal F. You should have plenty of ttime.

  • Need info on terminals
    Mar 29, 2015
This is my first time flying with a toddler and I need all the info I can get! We are arriving in terminal b with a connecting flight in terminal c with a 1.5 hr layover. If I ask for assistance could someone help us to the next terminal? Would we have to wait for our checked bags or are they transferred for us? If I have a stroller is it easier to walk between terminals or should we take the shuttle? Any tips? I have severe anxiety so I am looking for any info that could make this flight less stressful!

Did you purchase your tickets separately or together and what airline or airlines are you flying? I can't answer your question without this info. There is no way to walk between Terminals B and C.

I bought them together. I bought them on us airways website. I'm flying into lga on American airlines and flying out on us airways.

Your baggage will be transferred for you. American also now operates a shuttle bus inside the secure area between the American gates in Terminal B and the US Airways in Terminal C. Unfortunately they have decided not to tell either of their websites about it but it exists. If you can't find it, you can take the Route B bus outside security, but you will have to go through security again in Terminal C. You have plenty of time.

  • 1 hour 15 minutes lay over.
    Mar 29, 2015
Hi. It's my first time to travel to the US, I'm from Australia. I am travelling with two children, travelling to Toronto, New York, Alabama then Las Vegas. My Alabama to Las Vegas flight has a 1 hour 15 minutes lay over at Denver both flights with United, will I have enough time for transfer? With my Esta and going through customs then racing to go to the next boarding gate? And do I need to recheck my luggage? Hope someone will be able to help me with my queries. Thank you.

Alabama, Denver, and Las Vegas are all in the United States. You do not have to go through Immigration or Customs on domestic flights within the United States. You will go through Security in Alabama. All you have to do in Denver is walk from your arrival gate to your departure gate. Both on the B concourse. You should have plenty of time.

  • Guadalajara to Frankfurt through IAH
    Mar 29, 2015
I will be returning from Guadalajara, Mexico with United and connect to Lufthansa flight to Frankfurt . I only have 1 hour 20 min and I have to change from terminal E to terminar D. Is that enough time?

That is possible but difficult. You will have to go through US Immigration and Customs, but you should not have to claim your bags because you are on an international to international connection. You will also have to go through security. If you can change your ticket and get an earlier flight from Guadalajara I would do that.

  • BUD to FCO to DBV
    Mar 29, 2015
From Budapest we are flying Wizz Air getting to FCO terminal 2 at 12:05pm. We are NOT checking luggage, we're only bringing carry-on luggage. From there we need to get to terminal 3 for our 1:50pm flight to Dubrovnik. When getting from from T2 to T3 will we need to go through security or customs or anything again? Is this enough time to get to our next flight?

Since Hungary is in the Schengen Area you will not have to go through customs. You will go through schengen exit passport control when you enter the departure area for your Dubrovnik flight. You will also likely have to go through security. You should have enough time if your first flight is on-time.
