Hi. Delta changed our flight time so we arrive into T2 around 8:30pm and leave in T1 at 10:05pm. Do you think we'll have enough time for this connection? Thanks!

Hello, ill arrive with Lufthansa at the SEA TAC APT and have a domestic connecting flight to ANC. Some questions hereto: 1.At which terminal will that be? 2.If at South terminal, do i clear customs and immigrations there as well? 3. Where do i pick up the luggage and do the re Check-in for the domestic flight with Alaska airlines to Anchorage? 4.from which gate will flight AS119 most likely depart? 5. Since I have to pay for the luggage with Alaska airlines, where do pay for the luggage ?

  • Changing Flight to Qatar Airways at IAD
    Jul 29, 2014

I'm flying in from Charlotte to IAD in US Airways and then flying to Doha from IAD in Qatar airways. The itinerary is booked as one flight ticket (hoping that makes sense). So do I need to go out of terminal at IAD, go to Qatar airways counter and go through security again ? I'm going to check in online and get boarding passes for Qatar airways and check in my luggage at Charlotte. US Airways confirmed that once i check in the luggage at CLT, I do not need to get them at IAD.

Since you purchased your tickets together your bags should be checked through to Doha in Charlotte and all you will have to do at IAD is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate, which will both be on the B concourse.

thanks for the prompt reply. I was not sure if I had to go through security again or not but you clarified it.

  • Flight connection from BA209 arriving 6.00pm

I am arriving on Sunday 10th August from London on BA209 and have a connection at 7.40pm US Airways to Tampa. Arriving on business class but connecting to coach. Will I make it or likely have to rebook to a later flight to Tampa?

BA209 arrives at 5:06 PM? Yes, you should have plenty of time, especially considering that you will be getting off first due to being in Business class.

The BA tickets say it is due to arrive at 18:00?

Arriving UA from LHR connecting to CUN do I have to collect checked baggage and re-check for the onward flight? I am told it would be checked all the way through from LHR

I recently found out that IAH is part of a pilot program where most passengers traveling on a single International->International connecting itinerary do not have to claim their baggage to go through US Customs. However, please double check this with the United agent in London.

I am flying in from Vienna ( Austria)on Austrian airlines tomorrow and i have a connecting flight to Orlando 3 hours after arriving on United. Unfortunately i had to book my tickets separately and therefor my bags will not be checked all the way through to Orlando. Does anyone know if there is a United check in counter right after costumes and immigrations? I am pregnant and have a little one as well and i really hope i don't have to walk all the way to the main check in desk with all of our bags. Thank you so much

There are United check-in counters just upstairs from the exit of customs. Also, you can ask the Austrian agent in Vienna if he or she can check your bags through to Orlando for you by showing your United confirmation. They may be willing to since Austrian and United are Star Alliance partners. If they do that then you can immediately re-check your bags with United after clearing customs and avoid paying a checked bag fee.

Hi I'm flying into Vancouver at 12:35 and my connecting flight to Toronto is at 2:15, is a 1 hour and 40 minute layover enough time to go through customs, immigration and claim luggage?

Yes, that should be enough time.

Arriving Terminal 2E on Air France and need to get to 2A (El AL) ...CDG website says only go thru security but not customs. Will I need to collect bags and recheck them ? How long will terminal transfer and bag recheck take on average? Would it be walking or taking a shuttle between terminals? Thanks so much !!

Since both flights are non-schengen you will only go through security. You don't have to do anything with your bags or go through Schengen immigration.

  • connection between terminal 3 and terminal 4 and enough time?
    Jul 29, 2014

My flight reaching on terminal 3 (USairways) and connecting flight is from terminal 4(AA), time between flights is app 80 min, is this enough time? and what is the best way to get from terminal 3 to terminal 4.

80 mins should be enough time. It's about a 10-15 minute walk along the curbside (my recommended path) and then you have to go through security.

Thanks for the information...as per website I came across below: American Airlines and US Airways passengers can now access both the US Airways and American Airlines terminals without leaving security via new shuttle service with stops at Gate 39 in Terminal 3 and at Gate 44 in Terminal 4....is this in place? and enough time as I have only 80 min between flights.

Yes, that is in place and may save you some time as while it may take longer to get between terminals you won't have to go through security when you get to T4.

  • Enough time??? BOS-> IAD -> NRT
    Jul 28, 2014

I arrive at IAD from BOS at 11:15AM, and depart to NRT at 12:25PM. Which terminals would I be arriving and departing at? Would I have enough time?

IAD only has one terminal, but has 4 concourses on two buildings. Both flights should be on the C/D concourse. Yes, you should have plenty of time as all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

  • Will I make it to my connecting flight?

I leave Lima and connect to Miami International with a 2 hour 25 minute layover before my flight to Reagan leaves. With American Airlines. I know I have to go through immigration, claim and recheck my baggage and then go through customs. Will I have enough time and if not, how soon does the next flight from Miami to Reagan take off? So worried I do not want to stay the night and if I do will the airline really pay for it? Thank you

You should have enough time if your flight from Lima is on-time. I can't tell you what time the next MIA-DCA flight on American is unless I know which flights you are currently booked on.

Hi,coming from Milano Malpensa to Las Vegas, flight UA Terminal C, 1,5 hour layover at EWR, is it enough?

1.5 Hours is the minimum allowed time for that connection. So you should be OK if your flight from Milan is on-time but you won't have much time to spare. Both flights will likely be in Terminal C, but you may arrive in Terminal B, which means you will take the AirTrain to Terminal C for your flight to Las Vegas after clearing customs.

Thank you. My travel agency says the this time is enough but I am not sure,I wll arrive and I will depart from terminal c (flight UA)but please confirm me that when Iarrive in EWR I have to pass immigration then pick up the baggage then re-check the baggage and then pass the security. InAugust I suppose will be a lot of people. Is it right?

  • 53 min?

Flight 4540 wil arrive at 8:19pm and my connecting flight 350 to SFO will leave 53 minutes later at 9:12 pm. Is 53 minutes enough time to transfer flights?

Yes, that should be enough time if your first flight is on-time. You will arrive in Terminal B and depart from terminal C or E. The TerminaLink train connects all terminals inside security.

  • Connecting thru PHL from TPA and ATH
    Jul 28, 2014

We will be traveling to Athens from Tampa, connecting in PHL. Our flight from TPA gets in at 2:43. Our connecting flight to ATH leaves at 4:20. Would we have enough time to connect? Our return flight from ATH gets in to PHL at 3:15. Flight to TPA leaves at 5:55. Would we have enough time to make the flight to Tampa?

Both ways you should have plenty of time, especially on your way there as all you have to do is go from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

I'm flying from Edinburgh to San Francisco with a connection in PHL. Flight arrives in Terminal A with the connecting flight departing from Terminal B 2h 35min after. Will this be enough time to make the connecting flight, what is the procedure regarding transferring/checking in baggage etc? First time flyer to the US

Yes, that should be enough time. You will be funneled into US Immigration upon arrival where you will go through Immigration, claim your baggage, go through US Customs, then re-check your bags with US Airways. You will then go up to the departure level, go up to security, and to your departure gate.
