Do we need to go through TSA again?klueposted on Mon, Apr 16At LAX Delta uses Terminal 5, while United uses Terminals 6, 7 & 8. Look at your ticket to see which terminal / gate you arrive / depart from, or look at the overhead screens on arrival for your departure gate. Terminals 5, 6 & 7 are connected by underground tunnel; a walkway lads to T8 - or you may exit your terminal and catch the blue-marked LAX bus route A on lower arrivals level island in front of TBIT, under sign "LAX Shuttle Airline Connection", which runs every 12-15 mins - your next stops after T5 are T6, T7, T8 - or about 7 mins. I assume that I dont have to go anywhere just stay there since I have less than an hour for the chance of planes, right? Thanks!Utahgirlposted on Mon, Apr 16Looks like you departed from San Jose Santamaria SJO Airport to LAX & need to connect to SLC; If I'm right, then you are an international arrival in the US and need to go through passport control, pick up your bags and re-check them in before connecting to your SLC flight. That procedure takes 35-45 mins. Thereafter, exit the terminal (most likely the Bradley terminal - TB or TBIT) and board the blue-marked LAX bus route A on lower arrivals level island in front of TBIT, under sign "LAX Shuttle Airline Connection", which runs every 12-15 mins, making its first stop at T4 and last at T3 before returning to TBIT. NOTE: T5, 6 & 7 are connected by tunnel; T7 has a walkway to Satellite 8 and T6. At T1 you will arrive again in the secured area, where you should proceed to closeby gate B6, walk past gate B8 (at right), take walkway to C gates, turn left to gate C15. (takes about 35-45 mins) At Edinburgh make sure (a) that United will transfer bags to SW flight; (b) that your bags' tags bear all three airport codes). Your Southwest flight departs from EWR at Terminal A. To get from Terminal B to Terminal A you need to take the Airtrain which stops near gateway B2, to Terminal A near gateway 2.
